Villach is really beautiful. So peaceful, place is really clean and not overcrowded. Great train links to amazing places like lake Ossiach, lake worthersee, veldon. Lovely location, lots of cafes, very chilled, lovely views. Relatively quiet, if want night life go to Veldon, only a short train journey. Had a fabulous time. Go paragliding it’s phenomenal and the spa karnten therme is really good. Definitely visit the lakes they are stunning.

It is a small and charming town, but there is really not much to do, you can see all the sights in a single day. But if you're planning to explore the surrounding areas for the lakes and hikes, then it is a good base location.

We only stayed one night in Villach on our way to an extended stay in Italy. We had a wander round the old town however and it appeared to have many very interesting features. We intend to come back for a longer stay next year to explore Villach and the surrounding area of beautiful Austrian countryside.

Fabulous little city, romantic downtown, great church. Shopping and pedestrian zone superb. Landskron castle a must visit, Food and amenities super. Downtown hotels are very attractive and stylish, the river Drau is impressive. The lakes, Faaker and Ossiacher are brillant and pristine. Would go back in a heartbeat, stay was too short.

A nice and quiet town, however there are a lot of places to hang out at night and have a good time. Good restaurants not just typical ones. Perfect for a summer or a winter vacation: ski-area quite close, lakes very near, biking and hiking route
For swimmers, the 25m sport pool is a good place to do a few lengths. There's also a good gym. We didn't have time to try the natural springs, but it's a unique feature that deserves a mention. Despite the excellent hotel breakfast, I think visiting the pool and spa (without being a hotel guest) might allow you to get the best from this resort. Our experience as guests in the hotel itself was disappointing, given there is good accommodation at a fraction of the price to be had elsewhere in Villach.
From seamless communication to a smooth check-in process, everything was impeccable. The location couldn't have been more convenient for travelers passing through the city. The complimentary parking was a definite bonus, eliminating any hassle for those traveling by car. We appreciated the timely receipt of detailed instructions, making our arrival stress free. Overall, the experience was fantastic, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend your place to fellow travelers.
Kind regards,
Milica
The room was very comfortable, with excellent high quality fittings, appliances, great size, and perfectly functional for 2.
The central location is just 10 minutes walk from the train station, and is perfect. You can fall out of bed, roll down the stairs and end up in a restaurants, burger joint, high street shops, cafes, and a few bars. Definitely a great location from which to explore the city and the beautiful routes along the river Drava into the Alpine countryside around Villach
I loved the romantic atmosphere of the hotel and the cozy single room. Everything was spotless clean and worked well. I had a very short stay, but I would really liked to stay longer. The personnel (Daniela) was very friendly, accommodated a last-minute change of date and waited for my late arrival, even if we had agreed on automatic key delivery. The location is very central and suited well my need for a short stopover near the train station
That was my first stay in Villach and I was amazed by everything along the way.
Motel55 was a very nice place to stay. Hotel Motel55 offered for our stay a large kitchen where to prepare our food for dinner and breakfast. Rooms, all 5 rooms, were large, sunny, and clean, with coffee machine welcoming for more stay.
Next year I will definitely pick up the same hotel for a longer period.
Location is 10/10 right in the heart of the city, close to everything. The check in was easy and fast, with kind and helpful receptionsts.
The hotel brings back some charm time of the 19th century. Unique look. General the room was clean.
Good contiental breakfast with salmon and turkish coffee. Good smell of shower gel and shampoo. Great and kind Ladies at the breakfast.
they say i would feel like home in their apartment.
well i felt like home and it was a nice home clean and easy to check in.
everything you need is near the apartment the city center the shops the restaurants
check out the golden lam restaurant it’s beautiful and it’s just 1 minutes of walking from the apartment
This is my next stay at this hotel. I choose it because of its good location by the highway, proximity to the city center, to go for a walk after a long journey, and also because of the very close proximity to Lidl and Billa supermarkets. The service is professional, the rooms neat, clean and adequately equipped.
The hotel employees were really helpfull at every stage of my stay and the breakfast is amazing!
At lots of things are home made and there is a huge choice.
Regarding the hotel location, it was perfect for me: in front of the main train station and the bus station as well as close to the city center.
Nice staff willing to help, spacious room and I had a great view of the mountains. The room was very clean, which is very important to me. Actually the whole hotel is clean. It's 15 min walk to get to the center, which is ok, don't need public transport.
This is my second stay at this hotel. It is first rate all the way. Great location, large room, easy access to train station and Villach is a charming small city with great dining and a brewery. I would easily stay here again.
The staff was outstanding, very accommodating, and went ou of thier way to make sure we were taken care of. Great base for bicyclist with locked storage. The location was perfect
Close to shopping food and the bahnhof.
Breakfast was very satisfying, nice view to "Drau", rooms were very confortable and it was great to come to the "Villacher Fasching" through the hotel. We would recommend this hotel again, and we would love to return.
Well equipped, clean, everything we need was there. In the center of Villach, including car park place, next to the inner city. Newly built appartements, built specifically for this purpose.
This hotel’s main feature is its location, as it’s only a 5 min walk from the train station and a 2 min walk from the city center. Price is decent, and makes it good value for money
