Stayed during European Bike Week, easy parking for bike, but be aware that numbered spaces do not guarantee that space, had my motorcycle space occupied and was told just take another, not optimal but no issues. Bike spaces are small and have a cover. Rooms are good, clean, comfortable, plenty of space, but no air conditioner and can be a bit noisy with windows open, even with courtyard view, not an issue for us but need to be aware. Staff was 99% great, only one individual with attitude, but we left in a hurry to get in front of incoming weather and I forgot to check out, called, no issue, mailed back room keys, no hassle. Breakfast is great.
Only steps away from Villach Train Station, this 4-star hotel is just 984 feet from the Congress Center and a short walk from the Old Town. It offers a sauna and free Wi-Fi.

Centrally located to downtown area. Comfortable beds, clean room, nice bathrooms. Breakfast was okay but not quite as good as other stays elsewhere. Friendly staff and helpful.

It's a nice small city with a vibrant city-life. You can hike or bike on the surrounding mountains or just relax at one of the lakes.
Great restaurants: Restaurant Delphi and Mexican Cantina Salud are really good. However, if you prefer a more traditional cousine Restaurant Der Stadtwirt is really good

A beautifull city for a short visit.
A beautifull city for a short visit. The food is great the atmosphere is friendly the people working at a coffe shops are most delightful to talk to, average price of breakfast for 2 is anywhere around 8-15€ dinner depends on the restaurants me and my girlfriend visited an italian restaurant where i paid around 90-110 euro for a classy dining experience. If you visit fro a day or two your minimal budget should be around 200-450 (hotel included) if your stay lasts a week it could get quite expensive. Overall great and beautifull city at daytime. At night it can get quite different.

Villach is really beautiful.
Villach is really beautiful. So peaceful, place is really clean and not overcrowded. Great train links to amazing places like lake Ossiach, lake worthersee, veldon. Lovely location, lots of cafes, very chilled, lovely views. Relatively quiet, if want night life go to Veldon, only a short train journey. Had a fabulous time. Go paragliding it’s phenomenal and the spa karnten therme is really good. Definitely visit the lakes they are stunning.

It is a small and charming town, but there is really not much to do, you can see all the sights in a single day. But if you're planning to explore the surrounding areas for the lakes and hikes, then it is a good base location.

We only stayed one night in Villach on our way to an extended stay in Italy. We had a wander round the old town however and it appeared to have many very interesting features. We intend to come back for a longer stay next year to explore Villach and the surrounding area of beautiful Austrian countryside.

Fabulous little city, romantic downtown, great church.
Fabulous little city, romantic downtown, great church. Shopping and pedestrian zone superb. Landskron castle a must visit, Food and amenities super. Downtown hotels are very attractive and stylish, the river Drau is impressive. The lakes, Faaker and Ossiacher are brillant and pristine. Would go back in a heartbeat, stay was too short.
The apartment is really in a good position, near the centre of Villach, two supermarkets and the hot springs of Warmbad. The structure is an old hotel converted in a bunch of apartments which is a wonderful idea.
The bathroom is completely renovated, featuring a big shower (which could really use a shower curtain). The owner left towels, shampoos, and a hairdryer.
The structure offers an underground garage that is really helpful especially in winter and rainy days.
