Luis, the owner is great and one of the most helpful persons I ever met!

I liked the atmosphere in the hostel, the owner is very friendly and speaks many languages. The girls at the reception are nice and helpful. Great parties in the evenings! If you are looking for the warm company during your stay, that`s the place!

The owner was just fantastic. He met us at the Rio Airport in the very early morning as requested.The owner was without doubt the most helpful person that I have ever encountered in the hotel /hostal industry.

Definitely budget accomodation. Quite far our from main attractions and as two women we didn´t feel safe in the area. The hostel although clean was very very basic and bit ´rough´around the edges.

The staff is very helpful and courteous, They always provide you advice for anything you need to visit or do in Rio. They also speak English, which is very rare in Brazil, so it is easy to communicate with them. The hostel was kept clean despite it being full, because of the carnival season.

It is far away from the touristic places, always consider at least 40min to get anywhere by bus or metro. But you can find any bus stop close to the hostel to take you anywhere you want to go. Buses run until quite late and it is a safe neighborhood. You can walk at anytime there, and since it is not a touristic place prices in restaurants aren't expensive even during Carnival.

It was a nightmare, the pool was dirty with brown water, the rooms were completly dirty, Luis was very unfriendly to us, it is dangerous to take a shower because of the high voltage, the Kirchen was dirty, nobody wants to eat there, the area is not safe at all, don't go there! Better look for another hostel, believe me!

Luis and his brother Reynaldo are very nice guys. They gave us all the information we needed, and they are always ready to help. It was also very nice to simply discussion with them. The breakfast is ok, and the rooms are correct.

The location is not the best (40 minutes bus from center or beach), but busses are passing in the street very frequently.

The guy was SUPER helpful, and really awesome. I would only come back here again to talk with this guy.

We were met at the airport and taken to the hostel. Room was clean and comfortable. Cooking facilities to use and fridge to store food in in kitchen. The owner is lovely, great host. Made us caipirinhas one night and we chatted the night away. It is not in the main touristy area but has a supermarket at the end of the street, cheap places to eat on the same street and the bus to the metro leaves about 50m down the road. We felt perfectly safe walking around after dark. Wifi was really good - great for skype

I only had one day at Trek-and-Fly hostel, but I had a great time. Louis is such a nice guy with good stories, and his mother is so lovely! They both made me feel at home! The neighborhood is also nice and safe, with all facilities around. I'd def come back.

I was there off-season and only for one day, so I didn't face any problem.

Louis and his brother run the place and they are great fun to chat to. Their English is perfect and their worldly experience and knowledge is incredible. I enjoyed a lively discussion on European history over a lengthy breakfast! Also, the proximity to the airport makes for a cheap taxi ride, especially for night arrivals, until you can use public transport the next morning.

The rooms and the place itself are pretty basic but this is more than outweighed by the positives.

There are two bathrooms which are full a lot unless you get up early!! But that's expected when its such a busy place!!

Hostel runs by two brothers who put Their whole heart is in the business. Owners areAmericans and of course they speaks perfect English whichis rare in Rio. If you have questions they are willing to provide you assistance. If you stay first time in Rio you should just stop here. No one else can help you make out so well in the city as owners. It is a place with a family character, more than any hostel or a hotel. In other Hotels there is no time for translation, helping, clarifying. Here it is different. Thanks to the efforts of the owners we did not feel lost in this huge city. Rooms are small but enough for a hostel standard. You can use free wifi. For breakfast you may have an sandwich, coffee, tea, milk and fruits. Enough to start the day. The quality is worth the price. If you want to know the real Rio, local people and feel proximity of favelas it is a place for you.

Do banho frio, devido ao aviso no banheiro para não ligar o chuveiro na posição "inverno". A rede elétrica do hostel deveria ser melhorada nesse caso

O atendimento feito pelo Luiz, a mãe dele e de uma outra senhora que limpa o local foram excelentes! Quartos com ar condicionado, ventilador, tomadas, lençol e travesseiro. Fui com uma amiga, e no hostel tinham vários homens hospedados, mesmo assim tds nos respeitaram dmais! O local é d fácil acesso pra trem, ônibus direto pra Copacabana e outros lugares. A área tem agência bancária perto. Eu e a Carol adoramos o local. Se for em grupo de amigos ou família vale mt a pena pelo preço, acessibilidade. Fui com uma visão e saí com outra mt diferente! Mês que vem volto e vou me hospedar novamente la.

Le prix

Il faut 1 heure en pour rejoindre le centre et les plages. Personnel plein de bonne volonté mais sans moyens. Bruyant, mobilier, literie très fatigué.

Frühstück auf Terrasse

Zimmer zu klein und ohne Fenster, nur Bett hatte Platz. Dafür war 75 R zu teuer.

Hospitalidade e acolhimento

Não ter reservado estadia com antecedência para ficar o feriado da pascoa inteiro.

O que mais gostei no hotel foi da cortesia, hospitalidade e do bom atendimento. Além que tem um bom acesso tanto de carro( taxi), como de ônibus.

Não tenho nada de que reclamar. Pois fomos bem atendidos e recepcionados.
