Ate breakfast one time. Other days we had breakfast in the room. Breakfast in restaurant was good, but like everything else in Nassau - too expensive.

The Stones Throw Away is a great hotel for arriving in Nassau and connecting to a flight the next day to another island in the Bahamas. It's a quick cab ride from the airport, there's a nice pool and the rooms are very comfortable. The veranda is a beautiful place to enjoy a cocktail or breakfast - which we unfortunately didn't have since we had an early flight in the morning.
Escape the ordinary at Graycliff Hotel and Restaurant, Nassau's landmark mansion.

Everyone is so friendly and helpful! The restaurant is fantastic and the wine cellar is amazing. It is the perfect experience for a romantic, grown-up vacation (away from the busyness of families with kids at the resorts you'll find in Nassau). They have live music in the lounge every night and offer lots of experiences (cigar rolling, wine tasting, yoga) and the pool/garden area is one of a kind! Absolutely gorgepus , quiet and private! It was definitely pricey, but worth every dollar for the kind of experience one can create if traveling solo or with your significant other.

As we arrived to the hotel it was nice and the wonderful young lady at the front desk was a blessing to us. The Bistro was very nice and all the staff in there was so nice. The view was amazing.

The staff was AMAZING Especially Renaldo who checked us in. He was very attentive gave us a room facing the ocean. Helped us with a taxi. And did everything with a smile. We also were checked in early which was great! Breakfast was also very good.

Nassau is a very busy place. We only got around by Taxi.
Nassau is a very busy place. We only got around by Taxi. We were only there a few days but enjoyed our time there. It is very different from the out lying Islands. Friends spent some time exploring the History and Museums, we just didn't get there. Possibly a Stay out side of Nassau would be more relaxing but the Bahamian Hospitality is evident where ever you go in the Bahamas.

A cruise ship terminal where everyone is smiling but constantly trying to rip you off. At day full of the worst type of cruise ship passengers. Staff bubbly bubbly but entirely insincere. Tacky, horrid, poor levels of service. Taxis have no meters and will not quote in advance.
If you like casino hotel complexes - knock yourself out. You will be overcharge and under serviced. Visited both, both horrid experiences.
Saving graces
- Uko Sushi Bar
- Greycliffe Restaurant
- Day trip to Staniel Cay was stunning. Highly recommended.
Other than those there is NO reason to visit Nassau unless sent by work.

Entering Nassau is like entering the local food chain.
Entering Nassau is like entering the local food chain. I don't really like the hustle of the fish fry but I do enjoy the food! I have always found Bahamians very friendly. It is a nice place to visit. Some things can seem a little run down but you have to remember that the hurricanes beat up buildings and make it hard to maintain them.

We were able to go into downtown Nassau and enjoyed spending time exploring. We did a little shopping and ate lunch at a charming restaurant called the Manila Grill. We did use a taxi to go downtown and back to Paradise Island. You must have the Conch fritters with in the Bahamas. Everyone was very polite and it was a wonderful experience.

Everyone is friendly and very helpful. The island is beautiful, and many attractions are within walking distance of each other. We enjoyed each restaurant at which we ate and the portions were very generous. There are both lively and more quiet areas so there is something for everyone.

It is a beautiful place with convenience shopping locations a lot of restaurant to choose from. I stayed at Home away from Home which has all the amenities of a home.It is a one bedroom apartment with a kitchen ,sitting area, double bed, ensuite bathroom ,private parking and a secure yard. Great location
The hotel staff were absolutely the best! Happy to help and do whatever they could. Always with a smile. One of the hotel pool areas was closed and under renovation. The bar drink of the day tasted like pure juice (no rum) and the wine offerings were limited or not chilled. Hotel ice machines did not work. Room was comfy and filtered water available. The Junkanoo beach was lively and entertaining! Definitely had fun. Some good restaurants and shopping within walking distance and always taxi available at the hotel if you needed that.
That there was a Starbucks in the lobby. Thats about all. Well and the staff is friendly really besides the conscierge she has an attitude and doesn't help with anything. No education. Extra tip - dont book the shuttle from the airport which is expensive, book a taxi and let the driver stop at the supermarket to get some water and fruits or snacks since the resort store charged us for 1 chocolate and 1 box cookies $48. Yes and its cheap american chocolate not Lindt. And water is $18 per bottle ..
Not one of these anonymous and big hotels. The Holiday Inn Nassau is a budget hotel, located downtown Nassau, close to the beach (less than 50 meters). It is charming for its staff, people at front desk as well as all service people.
I personally like the open and friendly athmosphere, guests like you and me.
The facility is not brand new, but management is ivesting in maintenance and refurbishment.
Rooms are really clean, include a fridge and coffee maker. All equipment was working fine.
I was pleasantly surprised. I only needed a cheap hotel near the airport for one night. This place was much better than I expected. The staff was very friendly. The room was big and had a large kitchenette, a small patio with table and chairs, and the ac worked fine. They had a fun happy hour by the pool with free drinks. We chatted with the staff and other guests. Big free breakfast with cereal, waffles, bacon and eggs and coffee and several juices. I could have stayed longer.
The hotel is in the heart of Nassau, walking distance to shops, beach and restaurants.
The staff was very friendly and helpfull.
I stayed there for 3 weeks, they helped with everything needed.
Rooms were cleaned every day and every room had balkony.
I highly recomend this Towne Hotel, and get to know the Owner! He have alot of good information about Bahamas!!
Thank you all for a nice stay!
The whole area is fantastic! The beach surrounding the hotel blending into the pool is great! Also only a short stroll under the bridge to the public beach. A few bars, restaurants and shops are within the "community" and only about a 10mins drive to the airport of 20mins to downtown Nassau. Lots of games and facilities available for kids and staff were very friendly.
This newly renovated hotel was absolutely beautiful. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. They went above and beyond to take care of our needs and make us comfortable. There was a delicious breakfast buffet included. The hotel is centrally located, has its own private beach and a nice pool area. I would highly recommend this place to anyone coming to Nassau.
The hotel is right across from a very private, beautiful beach -- we were at the beach every day and there were never more than 4 people in view (and usually no one). Perfect place for people looking for a quiet vacation away from the resorts and tourism. The staff was also amazing, and good food at the restaurant. We would definitely come back.
The amenities were amazing and tons of activities to enjoy! The all inclusive was a great experience. The outdoors was what made the trip beautiful. The honeymoon package was incredible!!!! The staff was great!!!
