FAQs about hotels in Montreal

A Blend of the Urban and the Outdoors

Montreal is the second largest city in Canada and the entry point to Quebec province via Pierre Elliott Trudeau Airport. Montreal truly has it all. Divided into East and West by Boulevard Saint-Laurent, there are several districts to the city, each offering a distinct atmosphere.

Downtown is best explored on foot, as you weave your way through skyscrapers and visit museums such as the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts. In the winter you can steer clear of icy paths by heading underground to the passages of the Underground City, full of shops, movie theaters and food courts.

From there, the metro will conveniently take you outwards in any direction you might want to go, from the historic Old Montreal to the hip café and restaurant culture of the Quartier Latin-Le Village.

In summer, stay closer to the historic quarter and head outdoors in Parc Jean-Drapeau on the St. Lawrence River islands of Île Sainte-Helen and Île Notre-Dame. If the weather isn’t good enough for rowing, water-skiing and beaches then head to Montreal Casino.

Whether you’re visiting for festivals or fashion, gastronomy or culture, with over 190 hotels and B&Bs with Booking.com you’ll find your perfect home away from home.

    Getting around Montreal was easy.

Getting around Montreal was easy. We stayed at a central location and most things were within walking distance. Ubers are readily available. The highlight of our trip was lunch and spa treatments at Bota Bota. Our favorite breakfast/brunch places were Beauty's and Olive et Gourmando. The best dinners were at Beatrice, Le Taj, and Nora Gray. The ferris wheel at night was so much fun. It far exceeded our expectations. We enjoyed the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts and a hike to the outlook point at Mount Royal. The best shopping was pretty far up Saint Laurent Boulevard. I think it started around the 4000 blocks. Have breakfast/brunch at Beauty's, walk a few blocks to Saint Laurent and turn left to shop. I wish we'd planned our trip for longer so we could have done more street shopping, gone to Cirque du Soleil, visited some churches, and taken the train to Quebec City for a few days.

You could spend months in Montreal & still not see everything! I am always in awe of the architecture & beauty of this city. Although, we always seem to end up there on garbage pick up day. Lol. I love how they try to preserve the old architecture, The food is amazing, the culture, sites & history is an absolute gem.

I love the location of the hotel. It's very close to the places I wanted to visit in Old Montreal. Downtown Montreal is within walking distance too! I love the bed. It's so comfortable. I usually don't sleep well in hotels but I slept soundly in this one. I love, love their toiletries. They are Le Labo Santal! The staff are also very helpful and attentive to the requests I've made. The hotel houses a Japanese and French restaurant which makes dining very convenient for me when I was too lazy to dine "out."

Valet parking underneath the hotel building was a great with reasonable price compared to other parking garages in the area. It's a decent hotel in a decent location. It's located outside of downtown Montreal/Old Port but it is a 5 minute walk to Namur Station which will connect you downtown quickly. The hotel is a little dated but overall decently maintained. The room was spacious, clean and cosy. The pool was fine too. I think it is underrated because it is dated. The price is fair for what you get, in comparison to what you see in the city.

Very much a superior location, connected to Montreal underground: It is possible to travel almost anywhere downtown without a jacket during the winter. The hotel also has superior sports facilities: an excellent well stocked gym, great swimming pool / hot tub with reserved time for adults (after 8p). Staff had plenty of Christmas perks for kids.
