The hotel was in a convenient location, just a 10-minute walk from Zurich HB, but the area felt unsafe, especially with drug users in the nearby park—definitely not comfortable for a stay with kids. The reception staff were basic and not very welcoming. Our room lacked air conditioning, so we struggled with heat all night using just a fan. To make matters worse, there was a strong drain smell in the shower, which made us skip showers entirely. Overall, the place felt more like a dormitory than a hotel, and it wasn't worth the money we paid.

The hotel facilities are amazing. The property is super clean and have valet service for the car. The location is next to train station that will take you direct to the banhof street and just next to the hotel. The hotel is out side the center which make your access by car easy from the traffic. The view, the restaurant the outside setting area is super convenient for families. Strongly recommended

Take a Fresh Look at Zurich

As the financial capital of Switzerland and headquarters of several large companies including FIFA, there’s a good chance that if you’re in Zurich you’re here on business. But that doesn’t mean this city doesn’t have a playful side.

    Of course, we visited the city center and took a walk around the lake. The natural surroundings there are amazing, and the lake is also a great spot for birdwatchers. We recommend visiting the botanical garden, it is a nice place to relax in nature without too many people.

    Zurich is a beautiful well kept city that we used as a launch pad for great day long train excusions across Switzerland using rail pass. Would have loved to have stayed longer as there is a great public transport system that gives access to even the out of the way places. Terrific food variety as long as you look and a central train station that has everything.

    The views from the lake are beautiful, lots of parks and gardens to walk around such as Chinese Garden. Public transport boat around the lake is a relaxing and a must do. Restaurants charging 7 SF for tap water is unreasonable when everywhere in Zurich water is freely available from water fountains. Transport is more expensive than expected but we found it to be quite efficient

    We stayed in Zurich, choosing it to be our home base, for 6 nights. If I travel to Switzerland again, I will not stay in Zurich ( too expensive). Transportation is great. The town itself can be explored in 2 days.

    Fantastic.

    Fantastic. The people in Zurich seem content, happy and the country is very clean compared to Amsterdam or Rotterdam. The mountains are amazing and I definitely recommend to do the Bernina line (red train is also good to do, doesn't have to be the Bernina express). I would love to go back again. Make sure you have saved enough money for the trip. Because Zurich is very expensive compared to the Netherlands.

    I booked a single room, and in many hotels these can be very small. However, the room was spacious and also clean and comfortable. There is a lift, and a hairdryer can be requested from reception. The staff were friendly and the check-in/out process was quick and easy. The hotel is about a 5-minute walk from Zurich Wiedikon station, and there are trains which go directly to that station from the airport. The location is quiet, but there are plenty of amenities (restaurants, a supermarket, etc) nearby. I would stay there again.

    Great 3-star (I would call it 3+) hotel in a beautiful quiet area. Very clean and modern. Swiss standard. Has a nice shaded patio guests can use 24/7. Main train station is 20 minutes away on foot, or 5 minutes by tram. Also a 5-10 min from the No. 10 tram, which connects directly to the airport. Really good wi-fi. The immediate vicinity is great for walks and sightseeing Zurich art-nouveau architecture. About half an hour walk to the lake, 10-15 min to ETH and Uni. Zurich. Trams 7 and 15 stop right in front of the hotel.

    I had a fantastic experience at Motel One Zürich! The hotel's location, just a 10-minute walk from Bahnhofstrasse, was incredibly convenient for exploring the city. The room was comfy and well-appointed, ensuring a restful stay. To top it off, they even arranged a taxi for us from the airport, which was a thoughtful touch. Overall, our stay was lovely, and I couldn't find anything to complain about. I would definitely recommend Motel One Zürich to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient stay in the city.

    We loved our stay! The location was perfect - so close to the bus stop and easy access to old town and airport. We felt very safe around the area and all over Zurich. The beds were comfortable, and the 4 beds served our group of 8 very well! The hot water was plentiful (on demand). It was great to have 2 bathrooms. The kitchen and dining room were great! The bean bag chairs are nice for the kids. It was nice that the windows opened to create a good breeze through the apartment.

    The location is conveninet and near to the Zurich Main Train station, the hotel design is nice, with quite a lot paintings which has a story behind it. We didn't have a chance to understand it as time limitation and it's not in English, but I believe it is a beautiful story. The hotel offers to keep our luggage after we check out, which really helps us on our tour during the day time before we leaving Zurich to the airport at night.
