We had the "Superior Double Room with Sea View" and loved the fantastic views and the high ceilings. The room was immaculately clean and the bed very comfortable. The guest house has really nice common areas particularly outside in the courtyard. Paula was an awesome host. She let us check in early, and let us leave our luggage for the afternoon after checking out. She gave us some great suggestions for things to see and places to eat. The location was very convenient - very close to a lot of great restaurants and attractions.

la ambientación del hotel y sus vistas son hermosas
Valparaiso is a lovely artistic town. We enjoyed our day there. The area of Valparaiso we stay in was very walkable, although you can call for a cab for going further out. We enjoyed our stay at Casa California and the area around it. We ate at a little Cafe, Maria, Maria for breakfast on Beethoven Street, just a few hundred feet from Casa California. And you can take photos of the piano steps and walk up them. We had dinner at a bar and restaurant just up the hill and around the corner, a block or so over. We also had dessert at a cafe across the road from there.

The guide books are not cortect regarding the preservation of architecture in the lower area, but areas as Concepcion are great. Take the opportunity to visit Vina del Mar and make reflections.

Valparaiso is a vibrant colorful mountainous coastal town which we really enjoyed. There were several hillside dining options with fantastic views of the port town. Color murals painted on the buildings and walkways throughout town were fantastic, and added to the overall vibe of the city.

Cool city with an artistic vibe, lots of street art, young and older music artists etc.
Had a guided tour around and would recommend that to get a full view of the old-part of the city.
Also check out the live-music scene, had a great experience going out to their live-music bars/ open mic gig and it was high level.
I did not experience any bad, but they say don’t go alone home at night, it can be a problem with theft.

Not much to see, just quite a lot of beatiful grafiti, some vintage "ascensors". Beaches are quite far away.
But the city itself is downright filthy and not very safe. Many locals told us. Some MF took my girlfriend's cell phone and ran away. I chased him and got the phone back, but when I caught him he reached under the t-shirt probably holding a gun. I only had a knife so I gave up my vengeance. Be very careful even during the day!

Valparaíso is a beautiful place with very nice streets with loads of art. It’s has also nice beaches quite close. If you enjoy being on a beach a few days, it’s a good place for a few days more. If you don’t like to spend days at the beach, 2 days are enough, in my opinion.
The Restaurant „la casa verde“ was my favorite restaurant. The food and the pisco sour have been very delicious and the staff was very kind.
Well English-speaking host, with a great musictaste (;
We asked for some tips in Chile and he actually typed out several places for us to visit, including how to get there by plane or bus.
The roofterras has an amazing view. Room was spacious and the bathroom was clean, including nice towels.
Place was built about 126 years ago so it still really has a gorgeous wooden interiour.
The breakfast was AMAZING! Homemade cappuchino's, fresh fruit, homebaked fluffy cakes, homebaked bread/scrambled eggs.
20/10!
Loved everything about the hotel. However, although the stairs did not affect me - there were several friends who were surprised by the spiral staircase to upper floors and no elevator. The view from the terrace and the food were amazing. I would stay there again. The port was just a ride away - the front desk handled all the details and went beyond helping with the luggage. Considering it all - I give it a 10+. Clean, safe, helpful staff - no fru-fru with a lovely view of the bay.
Beautifully restored, tastefully decorated boutique hotel with ample interior and exterior spaces to relax. Walls adorned with eclectic artwork. Impeccably furnished garden terrace. Breakfast was excellent - best we had in Chile. Plentiful fresh fruit, savoury pastries, scrambled eggs, just squeezed juice and great coffee.
Filtered water was provided in the room and available on demand.
Great location. Would definitely stay there again.
We stayed at this Hotel in January 2022.
The relation price-quality is very good taking into consideration the infra structures.
The rooms are modern and super clean with a nice decoration. You can take a rest there and stay very comfy !
It's super well located and it has a parking lot right in front of the hotel (which is something rare in Valparaiso!)
It has a superb view over the port of Valparaiso on their terrace !
Super location for seeing a bit of downtown Valparaiso and close proximity to the cruise port. We chose it for those reasons and weren't disappointed at all. Ibis is comfortable, with a bar and small restaurant. Help was great, getting us a taxi to the cruise port. If ever again sailing out of Valparaiso, we'll definitely consider returning to Ibis.
Very good hotel, the facilities are great. The room is spacious. Hostal has a beautiful patio. The owners are very kind, ready to help and hospitable.
The hotel is located in a countryside in a quite region. it is a bit far from the city centre, but it is easily accessible with busses or community taxi and takes about 15 minutes drive from the centre.
- The establishment is a bit old but very well located.
- The view from the hotel and from the terrace of the hotel is beautiful.
- Charm of the old houses of Valparaiso.
- Ideal to visit the historical district, Cerro Alegre.
- Many options of restaurants around the hotel.
- Very pleasant and copious breakfast.
- Terrace with a beautiful view.
the problem is Valparaiso is a coast and this house hotel is not easy walking distance to anywhere. Neighborhood was sketchy, and you're in the old section. 15 min up coast is new section and much better. We did not stay here and left after 10 minutes and went to the Sheraton which was incredible. Buyer beware on this one.
Me and my brother travelled for 5 weeks in Chile and this is the best place we've been! The hosts are amazing, very kind and open to all questions. The room and beds were perfect, simple and clean. The place also has a rooftop lounge where you have an amazing view over the city. In my eyes this is the perfect hostel.
One of the best hotels we have stayed at in Chile! The location is unbeatable, the building and rooms are wonderful, the breakfast is amazing and they were able to cater to my gluten-free diet.
Spa could probably use a renovation in the near future but it‘s nice to have one in the first place.
What an eclectic & wonderful hotel! Quirky but fantastic - everything worked well and it was a truly magnificent place to stay.
The restaurant in the evening was simply brilliant - the set menu and Happy Hour cocktails were the best we’ve had in Chile.
Don’t miss out on- book a room.
Our host Mauricio was charming and extremely helpful with maps and suggestions about tours around the city of Valparaiso. The walking tours are excellent.
Invited us to his birthday celebrations, Chileans do love a party!
Nice hotels in the hills of Valparaíso. Just a 5 min walk to the city centre. I liked the dorm style because you have a small cabin for yourself, locker and power outlets with every bed. Staff was friendly and hostel clean.
The location was good. We stayed on new years eve, and the hotel gave us a box with a bottle of wine and some fruit and crackers, which was also a nice touch. Other than the night of NYE, the room was cheap.
Fantastic hotel in an amazing city. The location is perfect as you're at the edge of the coolest district and can wander down into the heart of the town.
Location for walkability excellent. We had sea view rooms with amazing views of the harbour. Charming old hotel with excellent breakfast. Friendly staff.
