Most exciting place. One week is not enough. Will come again. Xi‘an is more than Terracotta warriors. There are many shows worth to see.
However, the visit to Shanxi Historical Museum is overly complicated as the website is in Chinese and not well organized. Even my Chinese guide did not manage to get me a ticket.

We arrived in Xian after first visiting Beijing.
We arrived in Xian after first visiting Beijing. Personally I like Xian better than Beijing, not only the history but also life around is mor vibrant. In Beijing to much control, to much officials etc. We chose to visit the Terra Cotta army as well as Famen Temple and both visits are a day tour. Unfortunately Pit 4 exhibition is moved from the TC army to another museum. Personally I was always impressed by Pit 4, showing the Bronx chariots etc.
There is much more in Xian, one evening we enjoyed a Tang Dynastie show, had a walk in Muslim Street and visited The Great Mosque.

Terracotta army is of course the top thing to visit in Xi'An. Do not miss the bronze carriages. They are incredible and the museum created just for them is exceptional.
Xi'An is one of the best places we visited in China. The whole town is fantastic. A walk on city walls is unforgettable. Xi'An museum has great exhibits, especially in the underground area. There are a lot of great museums in Xi'An and it is worth spending a few days in this beautiful town.

Thousands of years of history in this vibrant town, with amazing food diversity, mind-blowing tour sites, and a fun attitude. There are lots of shopping opportunities as well with plenty of malls to choose from that feature Chinese and international brands. Don't forget to set your phone up with Alipay or WeChat linked to a credit card so you can easily make purchases or order rides with Didi. Not absolutely necessary but makes things MUCH EASIER (this is generally true for anywhere in China)..

Xi'an has a long history and is of great cultural importance...
Xi'an has a long history and is of great cultural importance in China. There are therefore many historic sites to visit (e.g. the Terracotta Warriors, Giant Goose Pagoda, Bell Tower, City Walls). It also has a large Muslim quarter, which is interesting to wander around. The food is good, and the Muslim quarter has some particularly interesting and tasty dishes. The city is easy to get around. Like most Chinese cities, it has a good metro system that is easy to navigate (everything is in Chinese and English), but the city centre inside the old city walls can be easily explored on foot. The city walls are intact, and you can walk all the way around - another way to see the city! The walls are also surrounded by a moat and very pretty gardens. As well as the historic sites, Xi'an is a thriving modern city, so there are good shopping malls and plenty of nightlife, if that's what you want.

Fascinating ancient city and capital of past Chinese...
Fascinating ancient city and capital of past Chinese dynasties. A eye opening and crash course of the ancient Chinese civilization. A cauldron of different faiths, cultures languages, etc. In addition to the tombs, city gates, city walls, temples, mountains and mosque, etc .. must try out the Han costume and the local food. The experience is definitely memorable and adds a element of fun.
After reading the reviews i was convinced that i had found the right hotel... And boy was i right. Smack bang inside the walls of Xian city .. Extremely helpful staff and very friendly and accommodating to English speaking guests and never rude due to having to interpret from your translator.
If you looking for comfort and convenience.
When im back im straight back... Thank you all.
I will add... Campanile in Shenzhen... Same attitude.
It's hard to find anything wrong in this place: the attention paid to details is honestly outstanding, the location is perfect, the rooms are way above the "hostel" average level (and most "hotel" level, too), the breakfast pretty good, the staff friendly and helpful. This place has been my oasis after the long exploration days in Xian, and I fully enjoyed every single moment there.
A fabulous hotel with attentive staff from the minute you walk in. Modern facilities with accessible Laundry and gym. Buffet breakfast and a modest afternoon tea available as part of the room rate. Dinner in the restaurant was delicious. Every staff member was lovely, including housekeeping, who were so accomodating and eager to interact and ensure we had a pleasurable experience.
Great location since it's just next to a metro station. At first is not easy to understand where the hotel is located since it's on the 8th floor of a mixed-use building though. Friendly staff though they couldn't speak (or barely) English. Mostly a good value for money and would it recommend it mostly for the location as well as the room size (large) and comfort.
The hotel was designed & used by the Russian at the time they helped China to build some infrastructure.
It's located in the center, not far away from points of interest.
The bed is of great size, and very comfortable.
The breakfast has a choice of plates which should make happy the family.
The swimming pool and sauna were open at the time of my visit.
Staff is warmly helpful and speak a very good English, which is more comfortable than using a translator to communicate!
The rooms are fantastic at a really reasonable price.
Cleaner you won't find!
The neighborhood is perfect for traveller's, in the very center, with everything around (food, services...)
My favorite place to sleep in China
The hotel is in a good location, the neighborhood connected by metro easily. The room was big and worthy, quiet and had a comfy bed. The staff (seemed like a family) was correct and kind, they have a little coffee shop in the main hall where you can take it by a good prize and quality. They have some sociable cats which was very cute.
Loved the staff, very helpful. Specially Jason Zhao helped me to clear up the issue of Credit Card double charge.
Clean facilities and very comfortable bed, I am very picky with bed types.
Close to all the Major attractions
Exended my stay by 2 days in Hilton as it was way better than Sofitel.
I left my phone in a taxi. The front desk was extremely helpful and reassuring, ivy the manager was exemplary in handling the situation. I got my phone back within an hour and half.
The location and ambience of the hotel is excellent, an oasis.
The property is very near the bell tower station, location excellent. The second floor has a laundry room, two washing machines and two dryers, the hotel even provides washing detergent. The family room have a big bathroom. It’s value for money.
The location of the hotel was really good. A different area of the city but has a fair bit to walk and explore in the area. The breakfast option was vast and delicious. Reception staff were pretty good and friendly.
Very nice hotel, with very comfortable and clean room. Staff does not really speak English but does its best to help. Also, the laundry (washer and dryer available for free) is a real plus.
The hotel is very nice and clean, the staff were kind and very helpful, the facilities were excellent and the location is exceptional, it’s near datang everbright city and joy city mall.
Wonderful and well designed hotel. It was quiet and cosy. Very good location l, about 20 minutes walking distance from the Bell tower. The staff was very warm and helpful.
Good Location (Metro exist is in front of the Hotel), very friendly personell (we had problems with our room and immediately got an alternative room). Very good breakfast
For the first time to travel to China after the epidemic, Xi 'an is a great city and DESTI PARK is also a hotel can not to be missed. It will come again next time.
