Sun, Culture and Gastronomy
Limassol is the second biggest city in Cyprus and the largest port in the island. Known for its vibrant nightlife, history and wine production, this tourist destination features long sandy and pebbly beaches, interesting museums and delicious Cypriot gastronomy.
Situated on the Akrotiri Bay, cosmopolitan Limassol is the southernmost city in Europe and home to the beaches of Governor and Lady’s Mile. The medieval Limassol Castle, as well as the ancient cities of Amathus and Kourion are some of the must-see attractions while visiting Limassol.
You should not miss the charming Old Town with its traditional houses and small streets leading to the old port and the beach. Featuring rich vegetation like eucalyptus trees and cypresses, the green Public Garden is home to a zoo with animals like tigers and lions.
Kolossi Castle is about 14 km from the city of Limassol, and the Greco-Roman theatre of Kourion is 18 km away, near the village of Episkopi.
Larnaca International Airport is about a 40-minute drive and can be reached by car, taxi or public transportation. Booking.com has excellent hotels, apartments, resorts and villas near the airport or Limassol.

Limassol is completly different from resorts - Larnaca or Paphos. Busimess and money capital. Very nice promenade, shopping is more joices- rich people found brands and if you want souveniers then prices are more suitable then in other reaorts. Defenetly have dinner there- very good quality 🥰

We visited for the Limassol marathon running weekend. We have attended this event many times and always stayed in a hotel. This time we stayed in a house which was a much nicer experience. We also got to see a different area of the city which was really nice. Great place for a few days. enjoy the Marina, walk by the sea, try Cypriot cuisine, enjoy local life. People are friendly, weather is quite nice, traffic is not so bed. I really liked Sherlock's home pub and the carnival celebration in the city center.

Not a bad city, but definitely not one of my favorites. One must not have high expectations and I think 1-2 days are enough for a visit. What I really liked was the local zoo, albeit small, and the archaeological sites. Hotel on the beach equal to 5 stars, clean with perfect service, big clean comfortable room with modern equipment. The staff is perfect. Nice facilities like spa, polls super French restaurant. Breakfast is excellent with a huge choice of everything. Just perfect. In case you have no car the bus stop is exactly out of the hotel. Parking is available.AlinaUkraine

If you're looking for a modest but decent hotel in the area, this is definitely a good choice.
