We chose the executive suite on the 9th floot, nice view, it is huge, very comfortable, clean, comfortable beds, very nice.
Very good breakfast with a lot of variety, staff was very nice and curtious, location was good, central area, we were with a car, when the hotel was with less guests we could use their front parking area with no charge, so that was nice, the other times we parked on the street nearby.
Overall experience was very good, we enjoyed our stay there.

Most of the staff were accommodating at resolving the issues and were very helpful with local questions. It is a great location for access to the city, transportation, and sights. It was a very basic on the small side room (not like the pic at the top of this review) but clean. But there were facility issues so read the full review.

The 2nd largest Czech city, Brno is a centre of Moravian culture, surrounded by lush countryside. The twin spires of the hilltop Cathedral of Saints Peter and Paul dominate the neighbouring Bishops Palace, while the nearby square houses the Moravia Museum and Reduta Theatre, both the oldest in the country.
Beneath the square is Brno Underground, a maze of medieval tunnels and cellars that once housed wine produced in the surrounding region. There is an annual wine festival here, but the largest event is the Ignis Brunensis fireworks competition by Brno Lake to the north-west, lined by trees that hide Veveří Castle.
A less grand castle - Špilberk - sits on a hill in the city centre. At its feet is Masaryk University, the 2nd largest in the Czech Republic. The city’s Mendel University is named after the genetics founder who was abbot of St Thomas’ Abbey, where a museum commemorates his work.
The nearby Brno Exhibition Centre is of functionalist design, but the most important example of this architectural style is UNESCO World Heritage-listed Villa Tugendhat. On the opposite side of the city is Masaryk Circuit, home of the Czech MotoGP.
The Brno accommodation on Booking.com includes cheap hostels near the train station, guest houses near Freedom Square and hotels by Brno-Tuřany Airport.
Brno is a lovely place to visit. A very good mix of the old (castle, cathedral and old town) and the new (everything you'd expect in a university town), but without all the tourists of Prague - it's more school trips than tour guides. Lots of interesting history including that this is where Gregor Mendel did his work that lead to the theory of genetics. Worth doing: the cathedral towers for the views, the town hall and tower, the castle (great views and lovely cafes). The trams go everywhere and a day ticket (on sale at tourist information in town hall) is cheap. Visitors from UK will appreciate a big Tesco behind the main station (get yourself a CZ Clubcard). Local (Moravian) food is hearty and filling and the beers are good and cheap, with plenty of bars and restaurants in the town centre. Late-opening ice cream shops are a bonus!

Very interesting city with its own unique personality.
Very interesting city with its own unique personality. Great activities for kids, such as Science museum or Observatory. Nice parks, city centre and other nice squares. I recommend Soul Bistro and Jean Paul's restaurant. Excellent food with even better service. The city centre is small so we walked everywhere with no problem.

Great city to visit, we stayed way too short, but are already planning the next visit. Many things to see, many places to visit, great food options. We went to the park around the castle, checked out few recommended food spots and also Vida! which is an amazing thing to do if you travel with kids, highly recommended.

The more you visit Brno, the better it gets.
The more you visit Brno, the better it gets. Compared to Prague, there could be no more distant twins - same state, same geographical topology, yet so much different history, mixture of cultures, peoples.
First time I was ever in the Czech Republic, I'm from Hungary. The hotel can be reached by foot in an hour from the main train station, and meanwhile you can have a little sightseeing around the city. The panorama of the hotel is impressive. The staff was very friendly, they helped me in every case. Breakfasts were marvelous, always something fresh and delicious. Wellnes services were more than enough. The rooms were really clean, had a rustic like style, and plenty of space. Definitely I would visit here again, if I come by.
Large, super clean apartment for a great value, just off the tram stop and a short walk from the center. Mattresses used are top quality so we all slept really great. Blankets, pillows etc. also high quality and super clean. Full size fridge in the kitchen with a dining table, etc. Really felt like we were home! Even with a group there was plenty of space and we all really liked the quality of the room for the fair price. Staff was also very nice, on time, and helpful with anything we needed.
Best value in the city!
Super-cool little B&B just outside of the city center. The room was decorated with vintage furniture (in perfect condition), the room and bathroom were very clean, and the shower was the BEST shower during our two-week stay in the Czech Republic. The breakfast in the cute café was awesome, and the staff in the café were friendly and helpful. We COULD pay for the room with a credit card. And the tram to the city center stops just meters from the front door, and takes less than 10 minutes.
this is our 4th stay at this hotel..it is like our home in Brno..breakfast is very good with a good selection of food and drinks..this time i really liked the sweet selection of the breakfast, the cakes were very delicious...rooms are always clean and comfortable...staff always helpful..the location of the hotel is very nice, very close to the park and the tram stops..and walking distance to the center of the city..we love this hotel.
The hotel is located near to the city centre, a walkable distance via a nice green park. The personnel in the hotel was very friendly and polite. The bed was comfortable and the spacy room was clean. We received a bottle of local wine, and bottled water when during the check-out. We were quite positively surprised with our stay in this hotel, and definitely we will come back here in the future.
+ Room was decently-seized, the bed was really comfy.
+ Location is the best, close to everything in the city centre, Tourist Information is 2 min walk from the hotel.
+ Breakfast was great, various choices for omnivores and vegetarians, probably less options for vegans.
+ The staff was very friendly, check-in and check-out went fast and smoothly.
AC in the room (although in 30 C heat it took some time to cool the room), friendly staff, great evening with a glass of wine where you can hear live piano, great location (quite close to the park and to the bus stop), free parking(outside the hotel) and very good price to quality ratio
Our Executive room 323 was simply AMAZING. Huge, newly renovated, tastefully furnished and with 4m high ceiling, it dwarfs most of 5* hotels suites — and I know what I am talking about.
Location is very convenient, and so is the private parking right in front of the main entrance.
Nice hotel, not in a center, but not far away. 20 min walking distance from the center or some 5 min walk from tram station. Clean room and bathroom. Breakfast was the best part of our short stay here! Small fridge available in a room. Perfect for a cheap one night stay.
The best thing about the hotel was breakfast, which was good and had variety but it also was exactly the same every day.
Staff was very kind.
We stayed at the suite which was spacious and had a great view.
The spa is nice. Dozens of different saunas.
Hotel was very clean and the breakfast was good. The restaurant wasn't open I the evening "for technical reasons". Whilst being proud of the use of space by the architect, it doesn't lend itself to customer comfort ie. very cramped.
Location, the fact that buidling was converted from a depot/factory into a nice hotel, very good breakfast, friendly staff, huge bedroom in the attic, convenient parking space, walking distance to city centre
I picked your hotel because you advertised having the best breakfast in Brno. It is definitely an excellent breakfast. All your employees were kind and helpful. My room had a great view of the castle.
The Grand Hotel is a top spot to stay, it is very central, parking right in the front of it. The adjusting restaurant is excellent and the rooms are very spacey and super clean...
Location is good, staff is friendly. The best part of the hotel is the updated restaurant on the top floor, with a nice view. They offer a nice variety for breakfast.
The hotel is really close to the Brno city centre. Staff was nice, was able to quickly check me in and there was no waiting around. Other staff was nice and polite.
Very clean, smart hotel, friendly helpful staff. A good place to stay. Quiet location, plenty of parking. Regular bus to city centre. Lovely breakfast.
