Savic HotelJilska 7, Prague 01, 110 00 Prague (Show map) Wonderful, Score from 147 reviews“the hotel was lovely, amazing and helpful front desk service, charm, location and service could not have been better, Thank You”
Sandra,
Nanaimo
Housed in a Gothic and Renaissance building still showing parts of its origin back in 1319, the Savic hotel can be found right at the heart of the Golden City, close to the National Library and the Old Town Square. Surrounded by picturesque narrow cobbled alleys, the hotel is only 1000 ft from famous Charles Bridge and is also very close to all the other sights of Prague's historic district, like the Old Town Square with the Astronomical Clock. All the rooms and bathrooms have been renovated recently and are equipped with all modern amenities, without altering the 14th-century look with original wooden painted beams in some of the rooms. The entire hotel is fully air conditioned, offers a 24-h front desk and multilingual, friendly staff to assist you at all times. Hotel Rooms: 27

The room was spacious. I stayed in room 307, a standard supeior room . The room is in a very bad condition, All the walls have grimy areas, cracks and chipped pieces. There are stains on all furniture. There are cracks in the ceiling as well. There is an unpleasant smell of humidity in the room and common areas, and air-conditioning is not strong enough to cool the rrom down during the hottest periods of the day. There was heating equipment in the bathroom but did not work. I feel very cold as took the shower in the morning. Common areas are in the same bad situation and have the same unpleasant smell of dampness. The breakfast area is small. It is, in fact, the hotel bar, where breakfast is served. Clearly a improvisation. The items are divided into three different locations. For example, if you want juices or eggs you have to move in a very narrow space between the tables towards the buffet. If there is a waiter coming the oposite direction, he has to step back to allow you to pass. Furthermore, there are very inconviniennt - and dangerous, in some way - steps in the breakfast area. The quality of the items served in breakfast is poor and the place where the cook prepares the eggs looks dirty and messy. The hotel is near some landmarks of Prague, but, contrary to what one reads in the brochure found in the room, it is not located in a quiet area. Quite the contrary. There are two restaurants just below the hotel windows with over 40 tables on the sidewalk / street. You hear the noise of the restaurants until at least midnight. There are several stores just beside and bellow the hotel , one of which is a souvenir shop with a sound system playing loud music until about 10pm. This same street is an important access route to the Astronomical Clock and Charle's Bridge and therefore there are hordes of tourists (not always silent) coming and going all day (and night) long. Only one side of the hotel (the building is shaped like a triangle) is quieter (up to a certain point).

+ Great location - walking distance to all sites + big spacious rooms, understated elegance w/ old world charm, beautifully decorated w/ crystal chandeliers & lamps, large marble bathrooms, nice common sitting areas for each floor + hotel staff was very pleasant & helpful + nespresso machine in the room, good breakfast - Room could be a little cleaner - parking is very difficult, police put a boot on the car while we were checking in, valet costs about $40/day

The staff is very helpful... The location is amazing... The facilities are very well kept... The breakfast is rich... Overall it was brilliant The only thing that they could do better is to have wifi in the rooms... But then again, Prague is one of the most romantic cities in the world so who needs the internet!!!!

Location, service, ambiance. Many areas, especially room 306 needed a fresh coat of paint and fixing some gouges in the walls. Otherwise , a good experience.

Friendly staff, helpful brochures, location, extras such as padded coathangers, löccitane products. Restaurant for evening meals. When we booked, they emailed back within 24 hours to ask if we wanted transport to the hotel. This we took advantage of and would recommend others to do so because taxis at the station will charge huge rates ( a friend was asked for 60 euro for a short drive).

The room (s), a suite was excellent, very comfortable. The breakfast room was crowded and the evening meal menu lacked imagination.

Absolutely perfect location, just around the corner from everything in Old Town. The room was large and comfortable with an excellent attached bath; the breakfast was superb; and the restaurant very good. All around, perfect for holiday in Prague - and an excellent value as well. Only negative was parking: it was off-site and seemed a bit pricey (more than anywhere else we stayed in Germany). Beyond that, all was excellent.

The location is great and the rooms are very big with nice big bathrooms. Great potential. Service not up to scratch. Lots of small issues that make it unpleasant eg no plates available at breakfast, key cards of room door not working, been told rudely by the "technical" team they want us out the room - when we had not reported any problem etc

The receptionist was very helpful and warmly greeted us when we arrived. We had a free upgrade to their only suite which was outstanding. The location is really good as you are close to the Old Town Square, Charles Bridge and 10 minutes walk to Wenceslas Square. Because the location is right in the heart of the Old Town we were woken up several times every night by passers by in the early hours of the morning. The breakfast area was too small with guests having to squeeze past each other and the waiters and the area where you waited for omlettes to be cooked meant you queued in front of the hot breakfast area which prevented other people from getting to the hot breakfast food.

Location, friendly front desk, room. For some reason our reserved room was not available upon check in. We were sent to another hotel nearby for the first night. Quite invoncenient. Then they wanted to give us their attic room, where we had to go up some steep steps, not a good choice for a senior couple. We declined that room, and they gave us a much better room. Breakfast personnel were not that well trained.
