My room very cozy, for one person, maybe two. Breakfast and bed excellent, nice complete shower. I did not rent a car, I regret it because the parking lot was right beside my room and no need for reservations.

Good location with free parking and some small stores nearby. Well-equipped room with comfortable beds, a small balcony in a quiet area. Ideal stay for a few days for a couple. I did not have breakfast, but went to the Edeka store across the plaza to buy some essentials.

We chose this as it was halfway on a much longer journey, and the photos of the town looked nice, but we were in the end very glad that we did. We only saw some of the place, but the centre is full of lovely buildings, churches and towers, and we really enjoyed walking around. There were some good restaurants (we were there Saturday evening and most were full), and it felt like a place that would be good to spend at least another day in.

A beautiful castle, one of its kind, with an excellent museum inside. Several other museums, and several art galleries. Plenty of family friendly parks. AND the beautiful Main River with parks/walk-paths along both sides.
Affordable variety of restaurants/beer gardens/wine stube everywhere. A superlative walking zone (actually, several!!) with shops and places to eat/drink/just sit out doors and watch the many people enjoying life....

A very pretty town, not extremely busy or bustling.
A very pretty town, not extremely busy or bustling. People were very nice and kind. Could use it as a base to visit other places in Germany eg Heidelburg, Cologne, Munich because of good train links. Lots of bakeries and small restaurants serving German food. Has McDonalds for kids. Had a Pandora store. Two supermarkets close together - Edeka and Aldi. Both about 20 minutes walk from centre.

A pleasant town on the banks of the Main river with some lovely old winding streets and buildings. It also has a very large and modern shopping gallery located almost in the centre of town. There is no shortage of bars and restaurants with a particularly fine Thai restaurant the pick of the bunch.

Aschaffenburg is a very scenic and old town.
Aschaffenburg is a very scenic and old town. There is a lot of history there. It was also a town know for its American military bases and all the military families that lived there. it has a vey beautiful castle that sits right on the Rhine river. There are endless places to eat! There are a lot of old buildings and streets that are like post cards. Take a drive outside the city and see the country side and the views of the rolling hills and valleys.

We just stayed here overnight and did not explore the city.
We just stayed here overnight and did not explore the city. So we really don't have an opinion about the city. We got in late at Frankfurt and were heading southeast so we just needed an overnight outside Frankfurt and on our way elsewhere.
A very pleasant small(ish) hotel in the heart of Aschaffenburg, surrounded by beautiful buildings and within easy walking distance from the train station as well as to museums and numerous cafes, restaurants, and shops. The room was very pleasant, modern, and clean. There were welcome treats in our room, and jars of cookies, etc. were available to all guests passing through the lobby. The breakfast was good and plentiful. The hotel owners and staff were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay there very much.
the apartment is sometimes called “ the room” on booking which makes it confusing. it is a full apartment with hallway, large bedroom with double bed, and a large kitchen, living and dining room combination with a futon/couch,( not comfortable to sleep on) plus a large bathroom with huge tube/shower combination.
The pictures don’t do it justice , it is much nicer! The building used to be part of the US Barracks in Aschaffenburg, now converted to apartments
Everything was great, from the apparently new / renovated hotel and rooms, to the location. Ideally situated and close to everything, the rooms are decently sized for an Ibis and the bathroom was also really nice. Comfortable bed, quiet rooms.
large room, comfortable bed and very good breakfast.
The recieption is very nice. I had late check-out without extra charge..
Location is very good. There is shopping mall opposite the hotel. There are many restaurants near the hotel.
Location, location, location! Its proximity to the Alte Stadt and the Johannisburg Schloss made it a great hotel for us! The bacon at breakfast was delicious! We liked having access to a lift to get our luggage up to the second floor.
Located in "downtown" Aschaffenburg. Restaurants and tourist attractions were easily reachable by foot. Good value for your money. Once we were able to check in two to three hours later the apartment was clean and quite comfortable.
We were looking for an inexpensive hotel that would be suitable for a brief overnight stay during a long car journey. The staff at reception were friendly and helpful and our room was more than adequate in terms of size.
Excellent location near the Schloss. Easy walk to restaurants. Parking area in the courtyard saved time and money. Herr Hopp and the staff were gracious and helpful. We had the best room in the house.
