Although known for the Nuremberg Trials, this Bavarian city has a stunning medieval core of cobbled streets and half-timbered buildings that wouldn’t look out of place in a fairy tale. Sitting above this is the castle, one of the most important in the Holy Roman Empire. Take the steep walk up here for fantastic old town views.
Hauptmarkt square in the old town is home to an unusual-looking church and a Gothic fountain, spectacularly lit during the annual Nuremberg Christmas markets. Selling everything from wooden toys to lebkuchen (gingerbread), these are widely considered the best Christmas markets in Germany.
Other attractions in Nuremberg (Nürnberg in German) include the Germanisches Nationalmuseum, the country’s largest museum of culture and art. Another highlight is the Heilig-Geist-Spital, a medieval hospital by the Pegnitz River.
A word must also be said about its relationship with Nazism. On the south-east corner are the immense Nazi Rally Grounds and Party Congress Hall, built in appropriately domineering fashion. The excellent Documentation Center here is a sensitive and unbiased portrayal of life under Hitler. It is also possible to visit the courtroom where the war trials were held.
Before leaving your Booking.com apartment, hotel or hostel to go to Nuremberg Airport, don’t forget to try the spicy local sausage!
Transportation was perfect and convenient. Stores and restaurants were wonderful. Museums, marketplaces, and other businesses were great. People were friendly and everyone we encountered spoke English and were very helpful. I love visiting Nuremberg - seeing the mixture of old and modern architecture is wonderful!

A very beautiful city with excellent options for everyone: long walks in the parks or on the river banks and beautiful bridges; historic sites, castle and interesting museums; beautiful streets and wonderful traditional houses; monuments and statues; nice shopping streets with low and high end shops and brands; lively restaurants and terraces with great food options. It really has everything you could want for a great holiday . Do not miss the castle, Dürer house, Germanisches nationalmuseum, Fembohaus. As well, take the train to Bamberg, a real jewel city, just 40 minutes away.

Nuremberg is a fantastic city with museums, churches and history. The Old town of Nuremberg is it´s heart and soul. An excellent place to walk and explore with fantastic shopping opportunities for all people. Nuremberg also has great restaurants. I also love Konigstrasse with all the boutique shops and vegtable market stalls selling fresh fruits and vegetables. Don´t miss the bratwurst restaurants near to the Tourist office at the end of Königstrasse.

I went to Nuremberg to research the National Archives.
I went to Nuremberg to research the National Archives. This went well leaving time to accompany my wife doing some tourism. The city is delightful and the people are very friendly. The only tourists we saw were of the more intellgent selective type. The town has much of its mediaeval buildings with very careful rebuilding in the 1950's. We ate very well in several restaurants. Fantastic street markets and museums. The Castle (Burg) is well worth a visit as is the National Museum.

Great public transport via the U Bahn and S Bahn.
Great public transport via the U Bahn and S Bahn. A spotlessly clean and safe city. Lovely food, coffee and beer to suit all budgets. Unique architectural styles in the old town. Wunderbar! Bierwerk is a must see place in the aldstadt near the river.
Nice hotel, spacious rooms, very good service, 24 hours reception, there is an underground parking (for a adequate fee), so you don't have to worry about the car. Hotel located in the historical center of the city, very close to the castle, old town, restaurants, shops and so on. The perfect location! Comfortable beds, the rooms are very clean. There are bottle of water, kettle, cups, soap, shampoo, body balm. Bath (not only shower) - it's a special pleasure :). There was ever sachet with salt for bath!
Highly recommend!
This hotel was fantastic. Located across from the train station and a few minutes walk from the old town, the rooms were clean, spacious and updated
The shower (and bathroom in general) was a great size.
The staff were absolutely wonderful and extremely helpful. Due to our timing our key was left in a secure drop box with instructions clearly provided for easy access.
Breakfast included a wide range of options and started early (6:30am)
I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Nürnberg
Location (walking) - excellent! This location was near the main shopping street and we walked to the Imperial Castle and everywhere in Old Town. Such a great and accessible location!
Service - Our family of 3 had the suite and the manager was kind to offer us the extra bed. Appreciated the wireless charger in the room. Despite being in an old-looking building, the room feels renovated and new.
Breakfast - one of the most sumptuous breakfast spread we have had, comparable to the big hotels.
We stayed on the top floor and had a nice view (out of a gable window) across to the northside of the river. The room was very cozy and everything was clean and in great condition. The location is awesome, right next to the river in the old town with a ton of restaurants, historic sites and shopping within a short walk. The hotel restaurant and bar were very nice and had very kind and helpful staff. It made our first trip to Nuremberg very special.
- very close to old city, but in quiet neighborhood,
- lot of nice places around to eat, way cheaper than in the city centre,
- big room,
- kinda comfortable beds
- quickly check out, receptionists was really nice (blonde hair),
- water to drink, towels, shower gel available
I recommend to use Max parking spot, it's 6.50 EUR per 24h, half cheaper than in the hotel
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was wonderful and plentiful. The location was perfect - close to old town, the Documentation center, the Hall of Justice and many other things. They also offered day trips from the hotel. The staff was very helpful in knowing what tram lines to take if you wanted to take public transportation.
Nice clean room, and not too small. The location is very good, 3 minutes walk from the train station, and the neighborhood is very safe and pleasant. The hotel is in the Old Town and most things to see are within 5 to 15 minutes walk. Will certainly stay again. C
Great location- on the edge of the Old Town but plenty of eateries nearby and a short walk further into the historic center. Room was comfortable, had all the needed amenities, and hotel was easy to find and navigate thanks to having a lift.
Very friendly staff, clean room, decent hotel, good access to old town. Private parking for 15 euro if it's available. If not, there's a parking place nearby for 6 euro per day. Be sure you put the ticket on the dashboard.
The location was great! We really enjoyed walking around the castle and old town. We found a lovely restaurant for dinner and liked especially that everything was within walking distance from the hotel.
Very clean and the nice location in center, 10 minutes from the old town (castle). The private parking in very good, safe is unterground from hotel. Sure... Value for money!
The hotel was spotless and looked newly decorated. The location was at the edge of the old town (altstadt), very close to good transport (U bahn and trams).
