In a very old, historic town on the Rhine River, which is right across the street! Quiet, some rooms with views of old castles, etc. on the hills. Family owned, delightful personal attention and help. Filling breakfasts with excellent German fare. Walking to sights, stores, etc. Antiquity everywhere, yet quiet and very pleasant. Would stay there again in a heartbeat!

Hotel zur Post, hotel in Bacharach

Just a 5-minute walk from Bacharach Train Station and sightseeing boats, this charming hotel features a traditional, wooden-framed exterior. Large breakfast buffets and newspapers are provided.

That we managed to get a room at all and it was quiet space but it was quite dodgy at night too where at times we felt unsafe. This town was really quiet in general during Spring.

Rhein Hotel Bacharach has accommodations in Bacharach. Featuring a terrace, the 3-star hotel has air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi, each with a private bathroom. The hotel has family rooms.

This was a phenomenal place to stay in Bacharach. The location is right by the water, and many of the rooms have River views. The town is small, so everything is easily accessible. It was very clean and the staff were so kind and helpful in planning my activities and stay there. They also offer free bicycle rentals (but bring your own helmet) and the breakfast they serve is very delicious.

Hotel Blüchertal, hotel in Bacharach

This traditional hotel is set in the beautiful wine-producing region of the Middle Rhine Valley, a world cultural heritage site.

We had two very spacious rooms, one even "luxurious suite" with remarkable layout/interior, with large double beds and an additional separate bed (family of 5, 2 aldults , 3 teens). Price was ok for just one night Flexible and clear check-in facilities, even on difficult/late hours. Very remarkable, nice city (not expected!)

Ferienwohnung Bacharach, hotel in Bacharach

This apartment is a 3-minute walk from the River Rhine, and 10 minutes from the center of Bacharach. Ferienwohnung Bacharach offers a fully equipped kitchen, and a terrace.

Great facility - felt just like home! Everything was full-sized - no cramped little shower or mini fridge. :-) The view of the passing activity included very light road traffic, smooth and quiet trains, and Rhine ferries and cargo - all while still being completely relaxing and peaceful. A short, peaceful walk will take you into the village itself. It's removed enough to not attract any noise from venues.

Bacharach is one of my favorite locations.

Bacharach is one of my favorite locations. I stayed here the first time I ever visited Germany, and I keep coming back. If you come here, try the local wine, and please respect the residents of the town and the beautiful environment.

Very nice town, which was quite suprising for us.

Very nice town, which was quite suprising for us. Alongside the rhein river. Many classical half-timbered houses. Nice surroundings. Very quiet. Not many (any?) open restaurants on a monday evening (passing through, just for one night).

We found Bacharach via online reviews and recommendations.

We found Bacharach via online reviews and recommendations. It was all it was described to be. Beautiful, authentic, less touristed and the locals were extremely friendly. Would recommend a train trip to Bacharach to experience the beautiful views on the Rhine.

It was very quiet, although we expected that it should be high season and therefore busier. It is a beautiful old town and well worth visiting. We were disappointed that KD had cancelled boat trips up and down the river on the day we were there, so there was less to do than we had planned.

For us, Bacharach was a visit to a totally charming village...

For us, Bacharach was a visit to a totally charming village of numerous old homes ( some dating back pre-16th century, yet well-restored and maintained) and cobbled streets. During our stay, we walked: - up to the castle above the town - strenuous for us-we are both in our 70s! - about 3km towards Kalb (sited on the opposite side of the Rhine; - about 6km up into the hills above Bacharach. Each of these walks were highlights of our five-day stay. In summary, we had the benefit of a very comfortable apartment, excellent, thoughtful hosts; combined with a visit to a beautiful town.

We had not initially booked for breakfast, but did after we arrived. It was well worth the price, and there are not a lot of cafes in the town that open early. The entire place was very clean, and the triple room was roomy, with the single part having its own sink - they shared a balcony with a view. The hosts were very welcoming and gave us a lot of information for touring nearby as well as recommended some a couple of restaurants in town - we ate at them both and they were delicious!

The kitchen was so well supplied with cutlery, pots and pans; cooking utensils. A micro-wave would be a good addition. The bathroom was excellent - I add that the shower was so much larger than what is normal in many hotels and apartments. There was plenty of storage space, including a sizeable wardrobe, in the main bedroom (there is a second bedroom in the apartment) - which allowed us to hang our clothes and store our other clothes, instead of having to live out of our suitcases.

My husband and I loved our too-short stay at this beautiful hotel in Bacharach. The staff were very accommodating (we had to catch an early train the last morning and were able to check out without any problems the day before). Breakfast was bountiful and delicious. The room, an unexpected (and fabulous) upgrade, was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The shower had wonderful heat and water pressure. We can't wait to return!

public parking was only 100m away so it was an easy walk to the hotel. The old elevator is very small - just enough room for 2 people and our two hand carry bags but, initially, no light working inside the elevator. There was a good selection of breakfast items. The location was excellent - almost in the centre of the delightful town.

Size, comfort, decor, amenities of the room, quiet, wonderful hosts, delicious breakfast, helpful tourism information, I've been traveling for decades and this is one of my favorites. The location is about a 20 minute walk from downtown Bacharach, host can pick you up at station, otherwise it is pleasant to walk thru the area.

The hotel is located right next to a busy mainline railway, so it is quite noisy - good for people with hearing impairment or who bring earplugs. The hotel itself is a bit run down but it was fine for the couple if nights that I was there and it is a really interesting historical building. directly on the old town wall.

In reality, there was a lot to like about this hotel: good location, nice historic building (well maintained), good breakfast, nice balcony with pleasant view. But all of that was undone by an angry young man at the front desk.
