It was a traditional Bavarian hotel with beautiful carved wood etchings. The food was amazing large portions, and the price was very reasonable. We will definitely book this hotel again.

It’s a beautiful property. Spotless, well looked after, different than any place we ever stayed at. We arrived late, around 21:00. We were greeted by the front desk person who said “we were waiting for you, are you hungry ? We can get you some food”. I was speechless. During our travel through Europe we stayed in 9 different hotels. That includes Hilton and Radisson. Nobody greeted us like that.
We liked everything about this place. The hospitality, friendly staff, the room, decor and the amazing outdoor area. The food was delicious. We never had such a variety of food for breakfast.

Clean, spacious and comfortable. Very good breakfast
This apartment was amazing! One of the best kitted apartments I’ve rented. The only negative was the location - predominately light industrial. However, there are 3 grocery stores & a shopping center within easy walking (less than 1/4 mile). Plus, if arriving by train, the train stop is directly behind the building. It’s an easy drive to the historic old town which houses an incredible wood museum!

We came to Rosenheim to visit family, but it is a charming small city with quaint city center and lovely surrounding countryside. We enjoyed the walking trails along the river within sight of the alps. We enjoyed local festivals and good food. We used it as a launching point to visit Munich and Oberammergau, Germany; Vienna and Kufstein, Austria; and Florence/Tuscany, Italy by train.

Only stayed one night.
Only stayed one night. It is a good hotel, with a restaurant serving local dishes and big pints of beer (if you are so inclined) :-) We enjoyed our stay and can recommend this hotel as an "etappe* for driving to the skiing slopes in Austria. In summer apparently one is not too far away from a huge lake, so I can imagine that must be quite nice as well. Internet could have been better. It was rather weak in the ground room where we were staying. The lighting also was of the "indirect" kind and was a bit gloomy, but otherwise everything was correct and the room was HUGE :-) We'll definitely stay there again.

Visiting in winter.
Visiting in winter.
Not much to do and everything closes quite early.
We also travlled without a car and had to rely on PT, busses end early on weekend and a bit hard to do much.
There is a shopping centre and a cinema but not any museums or sightseeing in the town.
Food is good and cheap and there is some shopping.
If you are coming especially for a Europe trip, I would skip Rosenheim as there are more exciting destinantions.

I had a wonderful time exploring again as it was 29 years since my last visit.
The only person who didn't help was the Male staff in ticket office in Rosenheim train station when we wanted tickets to munich.
If I could go again I'd be there tomorrow

Rosenheim is a nice city with interesting gastronomy, a nice city center and very good local brewery (Auerbräu). One could also have beautiful visits in the nearby region to close by lakes and the bavarian alps.
I can’t comment about this properly as we didn’t actually stay there . We received a phone call when we were 5 minutes drive away from the property to tell us our room was no longer available because there was a problem with the plumbing. They had allocated us a room at their sister hotel the Egger-Stuberl. When we called in at Hotel Hohensteiger the receptionist was very matter of fact about it and sent us on our way ! We were very disappointed as we have stayed at the hotel several times before and have always enjoyed our stay.
What a strange and lovely place! I anticipated that this would be an old building, but it is actually new construction by a very playful architect. Thoughtful design and unique touches, such as a shower oil attachment (?) and water bed. Very comfortable lighting. We had a truly remarkable room and the space does transport you into another world. Would definitely recommend this unexpected hotel if you are staying near Rosenheim. Located in a neighborhood just outside of the center, but parking was free at the hotel.
+ Everything was very clean,
+ nice staff,
+ stylish design,
+ the hotel has a well equipped fitness room (although it is small, at 6:30 AM there was only me and another person, so it was ok. In summer one can use the adjacent roof terrace as well),
+ there are 2 EV chargers next to the hotel,
+ there is a secured parking garage next to the hotel,
+ the breakfast was nice though it could have had more options
Stayed 2 nights when visiting Munich. 10 min walk from train station, facilities nice/clean, adequate space, front desk staff pleasant and helpful. Private bathroom and shower ok, didn't buy breakfast but looked popular with other guests. Originally chose this hotel/location for price compared to Munich and when planning to also visit Schloss Herrenchiemsee (had to cancel that... ran out of time).
1, Most of the staff that we met were super friendly, easy to communicate and always ready to help.
2, High performance-price-ratio.
3, It provides even a play area for kids or in German Kinderspielplatz. My 2-years-old enjoyed playing there.
4, Location is great and several Gas stations can be reached by foot. We visited Chiemsee and afterwards Tegernsee. We stayed at this hotel.
The hotel is in a central location next to a parking garage. The staff was friendly and helpful. Great breakfast! After checking out we wanted to shop a little more in Rosenheim. The hotel checked our bag in a room behind the desk while we were exploring, and we collected our bag before leaving town. We appreciate how they accommodated us.
The hotel is in a good location, the ladies on reception absolutely first rate, very friendly and extremely helpful, I was even able to put my motorcycle in a secure garage, I would be happy to recommend this hotel to anyone, and I will certainly be returning
Had no breakfast but perfect location and the whole ambience of the hotel is beautiful , free fast WiFi in the room, very quiet and relaxing stay, free parking, the car park in itself is made „with style“ as is the hotel
Like i mentioned before, whenever i need to stay at a hotel near Rosenheim Ariadne is my first choice. Very clean rooms and a very nice and competent service that close to the Autobahn make s me a happy customer/tenant.
Stayed here on a cycling trip, and the hotel was super bike friendly, with a locked garage. Hotel was a great 19th century building with nicely updated rooms. Especially liked the tall ceilings and the location.
It was a traditional Bavarian hotel with beautiful carved wood etchings. The food was amazing large portions, and the price was very reasonable. We will definitely book this hotel again.
Very comfortable top floor room. Very peaceful. Excellent bike parking. Excellent location by the train station. This is a very reliable chain of good value hotels.
