Nice, clean, new facility. Room was large and nicely furnished. We have a car so the few kilometers from the center of Koge were not a problem. The street was a little noisy but after about 10 pm, there wasn't much traffic. After reading some of the concerns expressed by prior guests, we were pleasantly surprised. We would stay again.
Surrounded by nature, Troldegaarden B&B is 10 minutes' drive from central Køge. Free WiFi is provided throughout the property and free private parking is available on site.

I traveled by train from Copenhagen to do a 3 day hike.
I traveled by train from Copenhagen to do a 3 day hike. Koge was such a pleasant surprise - gorgeous architecture, good little hotel close to the market square, lots of amenities (shops/restaurants). Took a bus from train station (get your bus and train tickets in a 7 Eleven) to furthest point to hike to Stevens Klimt. Had to return there that night to connect onto another train to Mons Island - amazing hiking spot! Koge is not a touristy town so really nice to see the Danes doing their market shopping on a saturday morning too. Great restaurants too.

We arrived late lunchtime so decided to eat at Café Vanilla, which provided us with a fine meal. There are plenty of other eateries - some dead expensive. We eat at Vivaldi over the w/e without a reservation, but be warned - we found the portions quite generous.
Køge centro is a pleasant little town to visit. We came in a few times - often after a walk along the coast. It's a good walk into town from the bay though.
Stacy's Diner is definitely worth a look, and the nearby marina is open and welcoming to tourists. There is a swimming lagoon if you are feeling brave.

A very quaint and attractive town.
A very quaint and attractive town. Some fantastic old buildings and a pretty cobbled square. Good selection of places to eat albeit rather pricey. Virtually everyone speaks English. There is a super model village of the town as it was in 1865 built on a scale of 1 in 10. Definitely worth a visit. The staff in the Information Office in the square are friendly and knowledgeable.
Thanks to Køge Guesthouse for very warm staying. The place is quite and clean. The neighborhood is very safe, not far from the center of the town. 15 minutes walking. Mall is nearby. I particularly liked decorations inside: paintings, small boxes, all the vintage stuff. It really looks like home. That's why I love staying in apartments more than in hotels :)) Atmosphere is wonderful!
Thanks to lovely owners of the hotel Mitzie and Sophie we had a lovely week in the cosy atmosphere of Central hotellet.
We had hyggee hours in the comfortable, clean kitchen offering us limitless snacks, tea, Coffee. However, if you are looking for spacious areas you had better book another place because the rooms are quite small.
We had a spare day, and not knowing this part of Denmark, decided to visit. Lovely vistas from the hotel, (like being on safari) with cattle roaming on the marsh towards the beach. Super quiet, lovely friendly efficient staff, excellent dinner and breakfast. Perfect.
We really liked being on the farm with its animals and woods near by. Our kids got to say hello to the horses, ponies, donkey’s, cows, fish, sheep, alpaca, cats and dogs. Also from here we explored the surrounding area and went into Køge to eat.
Super if you're visiting Copenhagen and surroundings by car. Nestled in a beautiful landscape with a great room (and extra beds if needed), with plenty of parking. Close to highways, historical Køge city, the marina and beaches.
Everything was very good except breakfast, which was exceptionally very good :) You may say nothing special, just good simple Scandinavian-style hotel, but for me one of the best hotels I've ever been.
The key was left at the door. There were no breakfast nor any staff in the hotel. If ordering a breakfast/meals from nearby restaurants would have been possible, it would have been excellent.
We stayed only for one night and are very happy we chose CentralHotellet! Great location, very clean, comfortable bed and lovely quality Danish breakfast!
