We had a wonderful experience at Hotel Odeon. The staff was very warm and friendly and gave us great advice when needed. The front desk was very helpful with our many questions and a few requests and the bartender gave us great insight into the history of the area. He was absolutely charming! We found this hotel and town a fantastic stop on our trip. The restaurant was delicious as well with, at least to us, unique and delicious food.

In an elegant 19th-century building, this hotel features modern rooms with luxury beds, flat-screen TVs and free Wi-Fi. Kongens Have Park and Odense Castle are just around the corner. This hotel is an old, but very well maintained hotel at the edge of Odense's town center. For the same price as a rundown hotel in Copenhagen, we got a large room, with a large bathroom, on the top floor. Toiletries were refilled quickly, and the cleaning was done while we were enjoying breakfast. The breakfast buffet was also great.

Kragsbjerggaard, Villa A Hotel, and Hotel Knudsens Gaard got great room view-related reviews from travelers in Odense.
As the native home to Hans Christian Andersen, the city is built strongly around him. But not exclusively, with other attractions including the downtown Sankt Cnud Church and the many surrounding parks. The entire neighborhood around Andersen's birthplace has been preserved in the 19th century Danish style. I found the cuisine was top-notch at Grønttorvet and Marcantonio
I came for the Han Christian Andersen museums but Odense is charming on its own. Very walkable, safe, clean and friendly. The HCA museum far exceeded my expectations; indescribably incredible. I appreciate Odense even more after visiting Copenhagen next. I didn’t research or do well with restaurants. I’m so glad I ended the stay with a visit to Egeskov Castle.
Our main purpose was to attend the Denmark Open Badminton tournament at an arena out of town and made only one visit to the city centre. Easy access using public transport. Big pedestrian shopping area and good choice of restaurants and the one we tried (UBN) was very good.
Don't go on Monday, most of the place is closed. H.C. Anderson Museum is a must visit. It is not ordinary museum, if you, like to read and self reflect, have sense of art, you will enjoy the place. As I really enjoyed.
I feel there is very little to see in Odense. There is an H.C. Andersen house which we did not go into, as it did really not seem worth it. Then some statues in the parks. We went to the Odin village, and ended up being dissuaded by the receptionist to not go in, as there was no activity at all there that day, as the Danish school holidays were already over. The highlight of the trip was the railway museum, which we really enjoyed.
Odense is one of the best places in Denmark! The old town is lovely and beautiful, the brand new Andersen museum is fabulous - mainly for adults! It shows Andersen's tragical life with fame and many sadness, and not only the tales but all the other parts of his huge works. If you buy a 24 or 72 hours bus ticket for tourists, you can use not only the local trams and buses but also the bus lines of the countryside. So let's go first to Kerteminde where you can find an Aquarium where you can play with seastars and cute crabs and see many creatures of the north seas. After it you can go by a cheap local Summer-bus to the Viking museum where the kids can play like the viking-children :) and before you go back to Odense, swim in the sea - there is a free beach too! We stayed only 3 days in Odense but is wasn't enough. Next time we'll stay here minimum a week or more! :)
Fantastic hotel. very modern, spacy, everything you need for your travel. Spacy modern, clean rooms, great bathroom, hairdryer, free WIFI, quiet but right in the city center next to the central rail station and next to big supermarked. Also 2 min. from HC Andersens Museum and house etc. and 5 min. to all the shops. Lots of restaurants and also great restaurant and busniness center at the hotel. Car Park area. Very helpful staff in reception.
A lovely receptionist who was helpful with giving me an extra spoon and a heater for my room, because it was too chilly inside. Very clean! Good space utilization in the room, very compact. Complimentary tee and coffee with a tea pot in the room. Very comfortable bed with a soft and warm blanket. Well working TV. Easy regulation of hot/cold water which is a problem in certain hotels but not here!
Loved everything about it! The room is lovely and very comfortable. The size is very good for one person and the bathroom was fairly big too. The bed was comfy and I had a great stay. I slept so well and even though it is by the road, it is very silent. So convenient to have the parking just in front of the hotel too. The decoration and style are great, really felt good in there. Highly recommend.
Odense
Super location downtown Odense. Close to all the things you want to see. Breakfast was very tasty, they make the small effort of doing things just a bit better than other places which makes it great, eg. good sausages, tasty cereals. The reception was super nice, warm, heartfelt welcome. We had a great time and would visit City Hotel Apartments/Nattergalen again.
This was a great find in Odense. It was a quiet place yet only minutes from town by car. The hotel had a wedding going on the first night but you couldn't hear anything in the room. The breakfast was very good and the room was quite comfortable. Very friendly staff with greetings every morning.
We enjoyed our stay in Odense. The Hotel is centrally located in a very impressive old building. The room was very quiet and had everything we needed. Our two dogs enjoyed the stay as well. The breakfast room is very impressive, and the selection was very comprehensive.
Perfect location with easy access to everything to see and do in Odense town. Great rooms with lovely comfortable beds. Helpful personal, great restaurant. A cool hotel with great architecture and cosy feel.
Great breakfast and really friendly staff. Comfortable beds. And we loved that we could stop by the hotel in the afternoon and have a cup of tea and a snack. It was a really pleasant place to stay.
Near train station and the city center of this charming town. Cozy room and superb staff. In the main hotel down the street was a great coffee machine.
All good, pretty hotel, pretty town. Very convenient parking across the street. Nice, short walk from hotel into city center.
The breakfast was fine and the coffee also fine. The location made it easy to get around Odense on foot.
