The area the the hotel is in.
Comming from the uk this hotel is a 3star not a four star this is only my appinion. was there for a week with my wife and daughter, there was no bath just a shower room 2 beds pushed together was your double bed in a business room. nice staff but what you pay for a business room is not value for money.
Breakfast Location Parking Room size
Very poor ventilation No airconditioning Poor wifi. None in room. Outside noise Worn out 70ish style
Centrally placed Staff very helpful Nice room with all facilities
Limited parking space
The staff upgraded us to a better room as some were available, which was very nice of them. The location is very central. The room was quiet and breakfast was good.
The hotel is located opposite a strip club which felt very uncomfortable. The rooms are dingy & 'tired' & look like they haven't been redecorated since the 1970s.
Poor wifi - dropped out No air condition in all rooms
The rooms were hot and stuffy. The strip accross the road was not expected. The noise from the harbour was disturbing as we had to have the window open all the time.
Location. But many hotels in Aalborg could be said to have a good location ...ie if you need a central location and quiet then other hotels are better. The Rad has a great location at the river and close to the main bar strip...but noisy even on a Tuesday night. ... Food. The breakfast quality is the best I have had yet in Aalborg.
NO AIRCON! ok I realise we are on North Denmark clinate but it was mid summer and very warm and humid. They need to invest in air con, just for the rare times it gets that warm. I had to keep the window open to get any sleep, so all street noise at night was amplified. PLUS they use the typical Danish thin Mattress. ..add to that the poor concept of a double bed, ie a double bed is a double mattress, not 2 singles put together! Not a good night's kip. Maid service did not refill coffees, sweetners or milks and left empty dirty mugs . Hotel links itself to the Casino but is not actually part of the Casino, although you get discounts, ie this isn't a Casino hotel like Harrah'S or Vegas. Overall decor is a bit dated now. Need a face lift and please god please can someone design a hotel room with at least one AC socket near the bed to plug a phone into!!!
Great location for hanging out in Aalborg. The Gade is just across the street
Hotel is a bit worn and dated. I should update itself a little.
Loved! The breakfast.
Room was a bit pricey for what is expected and Internet speed was quite slow, streaming and Skypeing was poor.
Very good beds.
Received a smoking room which had a penetrating bad cigarette smoke odour (carpet/ bedding). Hotel lies in an area with loud and noisy nightlife (till 5am). Poor value for money.
NOISY.Did not sleep at all! Stay away!!!!
Rooms are overheated 25+ degrees without cooling facing a striptease Club, several bars and a busy road. Impossible to sleep. Hotel should be condemnated. Avoid !!!
I could not use my US credit card without a chip/pin. Since my bank didn't warn me, I was unprepared to pay without it. Very frustrating.
- personnel not friendly and neglecting - very old rooms - poor breakfast with dated fruit
The room was OK - and luckily not placed near the Casino entrance, which can be noisy - especially during weekends.
The Whole bathroom floor got soaking wet when showering - the small glass panel did not shield sufficiently. The breakfast choices could be more tasty and attractive to look at. The room of the breakfast buffet is small and easily gets crowded - it would be so nice with a more open space and possibility to walk around the table instead of waiting in line. The tables where you sit are also small and close to the next tables - so it is difficult to be private and enjoy breakfast. It is as if breakfast is something to get done in the quickest possible time - this is not always the case, especially when you're travelling privately.
Nice location and good brend
not a client- oriented service
Convenient location with a business client in Aalborg
Hotels which still charge for WiFi.
poor lighting in the room (no proper reading light) extremely poor WIFI connection soft mattress
Location is good in centre of town close to all amenities and with good parking if you have a car. Staff are also very helpful if you have a problem. Piano Bar is good and service in there is excellent.
There are a number of things that seem back to front in this hotel. The business class rooms are termed as being city view but there is hardly anything to look at and they are about the noisiest hotel rooms in Europe. The main street for restaurants and bars is just across the road and the noise from the late night revellers is shocking. The poorer rooms face the back of the hotel and overlook Limfjord and are quite peaceful. The hotel has no soft furnishings in the rooms - it is all hard backed furniture but outside in the corridors are nice comfortable leather seats. Not sure why the rooms need to be so uncomfortable for people on business they might be out all day but they will still need to work at night and having comfortable environment to be in is better but that is not the case with this hotel. The public areas seem to be better taken care of and have had more money spent on them than the rooms themselves.
Room 345 to which we were moved after complaining of noise and no sleep. It should have been the business class room in our opinion. I would recommend the hotel to party goers or to ask for a room away from the noisy street.
The business class room which faced the loud and busy night life street and kept us up until 4 am.
Location and facilities. Block from waterfront and couple blocks from shopping. Festival was going on while we were there. August was good time to be in Denmark if you like festivals.
Typical for Denmark, no air conditioning and was warm while we were there. Rooms difficult to cool down and they provide a duvet. Would be nice if they provided just a sheet or something thinner than a duvet, sort of a quilt, during worm spells
Location was good. A short walk from the town of Aalborg. Breakfast buffet was good.
Bathrooms and rooms are not clean enough for a chain like this. No AC - very noisy at night because nearby the street full of bars. Room too bright because we cannot close windows at night due to no AC
They confirmed parking in a public parking garage for DKK 95 per day. But I was charged with DKK 160 per day. To small area for breakfast and a terrible coffeemachine.
