The after hours guided tour is worth the time, skip the early morning 9-10 in early season as animals are still sleeping. It felt like such a waste we booked the guided tour later. Brekkie is your typical Danish style bare bones....bread, meat cheese nothing fancy but its convenient as our cabin had no cooler and the town isn't so close.

The location was perfect, the host communicated very well, the accommodation was spotlessly clean and the bed was very comfortable. The shared bathroom was a new experience for me and although the sharing system worked perfectly well I did feel a little uncomfortable with the arrangement; I am aware that this probably just says more about me than about the accommodation which was excellent overall.

We chose to stay in Kenbel because it was near Aarhus and...
We chose to stay in Kenbel because it was near Aarhus and Ebeltoft. Both of those cities are full of great attractions. But near Knebel there is also a big National Park, and the castle ruins there ended up being a huge hit for my family. We didn't have time to enjoy the rest of the park, but it looks like a great spot for some family time in nature.

Ebeltoft has a central area of old half-timbered buildings...
Ebeltoft has a central area of old half-timbered buildings and cobbled streets which makes it a pleasant place to be. There are opportunities for long walks and a wide range of activities. Plenty of nice places to eat at all times of the day. The harbour area in the old fishing port is a nice place to stroll and relax.

My purpose of the stay was to visit The filmfestival at The European Film School.
It is a cosy and and intimate village, lovely to walk around.
Next time I will not wait with arranging my bookings, a lot of people came visiting Ebeltoft this first weekend of May!
