More to Benidorm than we expected, it is possible to avoid the loud and drunk tourists (surprise most of them weren’t British). I took my grandson who is 10 for the 1st time and he absolutely loved it. He fed the local birds by hand daily which is great fun by the harbour. Great beach loads to do everyday and the aqua natura waterpark is great fun too which is about 10 minutes in a taxi and cost about 11 euros. Benidorm is a good place, but only by car.
Benidorm is a good place, but only by car. Local public transport is awful. The buses are crowded and slow, they rarely go, but the worst part is the approach to the bus station (Estació de autobuses) and the tram (heading to Alicante etc.). The tram is far from the coast and the city, as is the bus station, and although it would be obvious that connecting with local buses would solve this problem, this is not the case, the local buses have very long and difficult routes, most of them do not go directly to the tram and bus station from the city (and the beach). Simply terrible.

Something for everybody young or old, fabulous acts, great assortment of bars, beautiful beach. Just great fun. Make sure you walk along the beachfront to the old town too. Benidorm, best place on earth!

Food was excellent with good choice and very reasonably priced. €7 for breakfast, €12 for lunch, €15 for dinner. Taxi from Alicante airport was about €85. Taxi to Benidorm was about €8. I would definitely recommend this lovely hotel and I would definitely return.
