Decent accommodation for staying for one day, clean, simple, staff friendly. Breakfast in the morning was continental, you can choose from three egg dishes, was enough. The problem was thin walls, so noise travels easily. We traveled in winter, so not many guest, my guess is that in summer time must be noisy.

We drove there from <barcelona to eat lunch in the restaurant and stayed overnight to lighten the driving in one day. The food and attention are fabulous and reasonably priced for its high quality.

The room was just as in the pictures. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom too. The parking spot is good, you can use a private key to access the parking lot during the night. It might be far away from the city center but in our case it was not a problem.

Figueres is a slightly shabby town though perfectly friendly and people mostly come here for the Dali museum. Were stayed for a couple of days rest at the end of our long GR11 hike - its much cheaper than Barcelona! tbh though there isn't a lot to do here.

Very nice little town!!
Very nice little town!! People are nice , the restaurants are affordable, they had a really nice food market on Thursday morning! It was perfect!
Its a little town though so 3-4 days is long enough ;)
Be sure to visit the Dali Museum, it’s just unfortunate that the paintings are not better explained. An audio guide would have been appreciated.
The best churros were right around the corner from Duran Hotel!!!

I didn't come for the Dali Museum and didn't go to it.
I didn't come for the Dali Museum and didn't go to it. But Figueres is a pleasant and friendly town and I enjoyed exploring it. It is also a good base for visiting and walking in the surrounding countryside. I had a couple of excellent longish walks in the Serra de Rodes (on two of the megalithic trails) and there is clearly much more to explore.

Trip to the Salvadore Dali museum was excellent,
Food in some cafes inexpensive even in the main Ramblas area.
Visited the St Ferran castillo (N11A north of Figueres). English tours ob specific days of the week. In my opinion not suitable if walking is restricted. There is a 20 min overview in several languages inside. 5€ for standard enttrance. Guided tour 16 euros.

It’s better to go when it’s less crowded, around 12 it’s full of people so better to go earlier in the morning. It takes about 3 hours to observe everything.
If you plan on having a english speaking guide plan way ahead.

I was just passing through to the Pyrenees and it is a good destination to get to from Barcelona by train if you are planning to cycle the Pyranees as I did. The real only attraction in the town is Dali's museum which I never visited. The train from Barcelona is fast and stops only 3 times before reaching Figueres. It does seem as if it is used by a large number of comuters that live in Girona and travel the hour into the city every day so best times to travel areout of peak hours.
The hotel is literally 2 minutes walk from the Dali museum and the parking gagarage that they use is across from the hotel basically. The spaces there are roomy and getting in and out is very easy.
The room is not of any real modern design, which we do not care about, but some people do,that is why I mention it.,but clean, comfy and perfect for a night. All that you would need is there.Plus the breakfast in the morning for 6 euros is a good deal too and has a good enough choice for a continental one.
We went to Figueres to see the Dali museum and this hotel was a great bonus. The past owners were friends of Dali so there were photos of Dali at the restaurant and at local parties. They had a helpful reception staff who recommended reservations for their restaurant. The restaurant was delightful with old school formal waiters and delicious food.
The location is right off a lovely outdoor plaza and a quick walk to the museum and to the train station.
This apartment is outstanding. Modern and beautifully designed, well equipped, very spacious, front and rear terraces..and the view from the front terrace of Dali's museum was amazing. Two double beds, full kitchen separate shower and toilet, comfy sofa good outdoor furniture. Well located opposite the Dali museum with supermarket handy and lots of cafes etc. Great host...very efficient and friendly. The best so far in Spain..pure luxury.
Access to the museum cannot be beat, as well as the central part of Figueres. The patio in 1A was beautiful and pleasant for breakfast in the morning. The hosts were prompt to reply to WhatsApp messages and accessing the keys & apartment were easy. The kitchen facilities were sufficient for our 1-night stay, though the plates & glasses were not very clean, so we had to wash them before use. The view was great, but came at great cost.
We could sit in a seperate room for breakfast with our dogs. They weren't allowed in the restaurant, of course, but there was a special table ready for us near the restaurant so we could still have our breakfast. Since we had to continue our travel with a long drive to southern Spain, we also could fill our cans with hot water, so we could have some extra coffee in the car during our trip. Very nice and friendly people.
The hotel was great with a nice lounge area. Dining was open and well laid out. With plenty of outdoor seating areas. The room was smart and the bathroom marble everywhere with a powerful and hot shower. And the extra is free secure gated parking, ideal for anybody with a car full of holiday stuff with roof racks and bikes.
La Barretina is run by a couple who have hospitality in their bones. What it lacks in size of rooms or luxury is made up by their willingness to connect and provide assistance. They also have a range of the best herbal teas available. Unusual for Spain.
This hotel was a very good value. The room was very clean. The family room was perfect for our family with a door between rooms, balcony and plenty of space. The staff was very helpful and friendly. We would stay again.
We found ourselves back in the Figueres area so booked an apartment here again. Excellent value in terms of location, comfort and price. Having use of the washer and dryer was a huge plus. Highly recommended.
Excellent location: 10 min walk to the train/bus station, 8 min to Dali Museum, overlooking La Rambla. Nice narrow balcony. Very clean and well-cared for apartment. High ceilings. Comfortable beds.
Wonderful location next to Las Ramblas and a stone's throw from some great restaurants. Great staff, helpful at all times and a spotless clean, comfortable hotel with a great breakfast
To be honest, before the transformation to Ibis Style they already were okay, but now even better! Will definitly use them again if we stop in Figueres.
