Very busy, popular tourist location. That can be fun for a while, knowing you don't have to travel far for all your needs. bars, restaurants, markets, all in walking distance. Not authentically Spanish but that's to be expected in any high tourist location. Good fun though.

Very cheap place to eat out and drink.
Very cheap place to eat out and drink. We stayed in Los Christianos which has a very nice blend of British/other Northern European and Spanish places and visitors.
I like this because sometimes it's nice to have English type food/drink/atmosphere, but other times I like the Spanish feel and to visit more Spanish type places.

Small rural town above Los Cristianos.
Small rural town above Los Cristianos. Pleasant enough town away from the coast with a number of small local eateries and one restaurant (Roque del Conde). Only two small supermarkets with limited range so if cooking for yourself buy else where. Town well served by buses from the coast (480 and 482). Also the 342 which goes up to Teide but it passed us full at Arona and didn't stop. The 482 goes on up to Vilaflor.
We used the location as a jumping off point for walking. Good area for walking locally (Roque del Conde & GR131). Also walking from Vilaflor. We also went down to Los Cristianos and got a bus around to Adeje to walk from there. If you have a car - more walking opportunities also.
Our accommodation was half an hours walk or 10 minute bus ride from the town. A lovely location if you want to get away from the mega tourism of the coast
Casa Rural is a great find and so well run by it’s host. The breakfast is cooked from scratch every day and is delicious and healthy. A kettle, cups and a few tea bags are provided in the rooms. The rooms are spacious and simple in typical Canarian style. Arona is a great location if you’re interested in walking, and only 25 minutes from the coast and airport. We found Alessandra to be a helpful and kind host who told us about typical local restaurants close by.
The apartment is spacious and very clean. Everything you need to cook if you want to, big fridge freezer and the big supermarket just across the road. Comfy bed and a great shower too. The washing machine is a big bonus for me as I store a suitcase in tenerife and wash everytime before leaving. Communication to gain the keys was easy.
The bus stop is right outside the hotel. Also in walking distance of lots of bars and restaurants.
Will definitely book again.
First visit in Los Christianos since 2008. Very much like we remembered. Centrally located, not "6.4 km from centre". From Arona, maybe? A 100 meters to Paseo Maritimo, and just a stroll to almost all parts of town. (Montaña Chayofita might be the one exception. From the balcony we daily watched the trekkers – as well as the habour and sunsets)
Clean, light, modern/nicely refurbished and secure apartment. Good TVs, fridge/freezer and microoven.
The property very well located in the centre of Arona, close to all amenities, shops, pubs and restaurants. Swimming pool heated. Playa Las Americas only 300 meters from the property. Lovely modern apartment. Highly recommend.
