The location is just a short walk to the City center, the main bus station and a major beach (another one is reachable from the first one as well). There is a very well stocked supermarket right next door. The flat is roomy, with a well equipped kitchen (coffee maker, fridge, induction stove) a nice living room, with flat screen tv and local channels, reliable wifi and a cozy room with space for storing clothes.
The host was very friendly - we had a bottle of lovely red Spanish wine waiting for us - and available for any queries.
The pool is right outside and is of adequate size.

We found Puerto Rico dGC to be a pleasant town, which benefits from much more sun than the north of the island we found (can be raining up North but sunny down south).
Yes, the architecture could be much better, but that is like every resort on Gran Canaria - what happens when property developers rule.
The harbour is attractive with some reasonable restaurants and two lovely informal ones on either end of the harbour (Vivaldi on the Eastern End and in the west - forgot name) it's the only one right on the harbour.
PR has a big shopping mall which I am sure shoppers will delight in, but as we hate shopping... The hypermarket is great.
We had a hired car, but the bus service seemed to go everywhere on the island. It can get crowded to popular places like Puerto Mogan (PM is massively over developed, very crowded and the market by the bus station is rubbish - avoid market days!). There is a ferry service to PM which we used on the return trip. It was a very pleasant trip; we used it to go south one day, just for the ride.
The downside is it is a long journey to get to the inland towns which are further north. As the crow flies, very short, but you have a choice of small scenic roads - loads of hairpins and some impassable if raining - or a long diversion trip up the motorway and still the small roads at the end. Plan 1.5 - 2 hours each way if driving.
Overall PR was probably the nicest resort we saw. We wouldn't go back to Gran Canaria, much prefer Lanzarote, but we had a good time; glad we went and pleased we chose Puerto Rico.

I like Puerto Rico ..
I like Puerto Rico .. This was my 31st visit so that speaks for itself
The weather is always good here in January There are a lot of steps so it would be unsuitable for people with mobility issues. The restaurants I would recommend are El Gaitero San Miguel Pinocchio
Big Daddy’s Don Quixote I would avoid staying at Porto Bello apartments

Main marina and surrounding area itself is ok but nothing to write home about .there are shops along the marina and they are rip off . My wife asked for a standard packet of paracetamol was €11.80 so she obviously didn’t purchase and bought them elsewhere for under €4.
We stayed outside of the main area in Gloria palace hotel which was fabulous

Lovely beach and a pleasant walk to Playa de Amores along a promenade. There are also 3 shopping centres beyond The Angry Birds adventure park with masses of shops, supermarkets and restaurants. The newest one Mogan Mall which has free buses from Maspalomas wasn't very busy but has free Wi-Fi. We also watched three young men playing in an impromptu group knocking out some lovely music. Funnily they were playing on the edge of town so weren't seen by many people. Pity really.

Location was good
Close to several other nice resorts, Puerto Rico, tauro, plays de cura, Puerto mogan, etc
Amadores and Puerto mogan beach are lovely.
View from hotel is lovely.
Hotel very clean.
Gentleman at reception is excellent and very helpful.
pool snack bar is excellent, and gentleman working there is a real asset to the hotel.
Palmitos park zoo is well worth a visit, 20 min away by car.
Underground car park real bonus.
The hotel is perched on the top of a hill overlooking a beautiful bay, a wonderful location. It takes 5 min by car or 15-20 mins on foot to walk down to the bay/beach. We've signed up for all inclusive in the hotel, and it proved to be a good decision. Multiple restaurants/bars to choose from, and a large variety of food, mostly of good quality. The rooms were spacious.
The hotel is amazing! The room is spacious and fully equipped. The food was great, good variety and very tasty, every night different type of buffet.
The location is perfect, exaxtly half way from Amadores beach and Puerto Rico beach.
But the best was the staff, they make you feel like at home! Especially the reception staff!
We will definitely come again.
Very nice place to stay, but there were (too!) many stairs to climb in order to reach the hotel. Still very good for exercising, and the views were amazing! Will consider staying here next time, but must admit I hope to find a(nother) nice hotel closer to the center of Puerto Rico,- and further down, of course.
Hilda, Juan, and staff made us feel very welcomed. Very helpful and friendly, and Juan cook's a great breakfast. This is our second time to stay and will stay again. Apartments, although basic, they are spotless, beds are comfy, and the shower in the bathroom is great. Amazing views over Puerto Rico
Location , View and Hosts are all "the perfect 10"
We had a great Christmas family vacation in Puerto Rico, big part of the nice experience was the apartment and the people behind
Thank you Luis and Gema
Hope we will be back soon ! (we still have to taste Luis homemade pina colada ) :)
It’s a very nice hotel, so clean, so brand-new! We were surprised by diversity of food! Very good all inclusive! Rooms are new, with a good beds and sofa👌
Interior in common areas is so cozy and conducive to rest. Especially sunset areas, enough places for everyone!
We had a great stay in this hotel for 6 days. For us everything worked and the all inclusive was even more than what we expected, especially the selection of food in the main restaurant. Great views from the seaside rooms. Rooms were well cleaned.
Good quality for the money. Service minded and nice staff, a very gentle and understanding woman in the Reception. Clean and proper hotel area with apartments beautiful located on top of the hill in Puerto Rico.
Villa was fantastic, very clean and spacious.
Great location as we had a car and still very close when we went to Puerto Rico by taxi as very cheap. 6 Euro.
Cleaner came and changed bedding towels etc.
Great hotel, and great helpful staff throughout the resort with reasonable prices during the day at their poolside bar as well as the amazing rooftop terrace, with a fantastic view and vibe.
This hotel was recently renovated so it was beautiful! The mattress and the pillow were the best we have ever had at any hotel. They gave us good solid night sleep during our stay.
Location was brilliant up a bit of a hill but not too bad.great little pool, views are superb of Puerto Rico beach/harbour…. But what makes it is Rocco he is a kind and honest man
