We booked a suite but were silently upgraded to a suite with terrace; it consisted of a large bedroom with two chairs and a huge, attached bathroom with an enclosed toilet/bidet and an enclosed shower. It also had a balcony, a closet with doors, and simple decor in a modern style. The buffet breakfast was excellent, and there's a charming pool in the back garden (that we didn't have time to use).

Beautiful old building, just inside the old city walls. Close to a free car park, which the owner advised us to use. The room decor was fun. The bed was very comfortable. Hotel had lots of charm. The owner gave great advice on the best way to approach the old walls, through a lovely garden. Dont miss walking at least part of the old city wall.

The colorful and charming gem that is Girona is on the banks of where the Ter, Onyar, Galligants and Güell rivers meet. Girona is protected by fortifications and features a remarkable medieval center along with several fine Romanesque and Gothic buildings.
The province houses the ancient Arab Baths, the Girona Cathedral, and the lovely Girona Art Museum. Due to its mountainous terrain, Girona is also a popular destination for cycling enthusiasts, and theater lovers can enjoy a performance at the Auditorium Jardins del Castell.

Girona is a beautiful town to visit and close to several other fun destinations. It's packed with historical features from roman times to the renaissance and several views of amazing architecture and charm. From here we made easy trips to Cadaques, Besalu and Tos del Mar. The food scene and night life are also a real treasure. Tapas and Sangria while seated at the Placa de Independencia were amazing.

Girona is a small charming town with lots to see.
Girona is a small charming town with lots to see. It is also a great base for going around to several nearby places like Figueres, Besalu, Lloret de Mar, Platja de Aro etc. if you want to use the public transport. The annual "temps de flors" - a flower festival in May - is a very interesting time to be there. It is a hilly town, so some parts can be difficult to explore for people with limited mobility, without assistance.

We had a great time exploring Girona - the medieval cathedral, basilica, city walls, Arab baths and alleyways; the Eiffel bridge and others and seeing the architecture along the river. Lots of lovely restaurants with good Spanish food - very reasonably price for food and drink. 3 days was maybe a bit long as it's a small city with everything accessible on foot. Should maybe have visited Figueres or the coast as well. Would advise not to go during the flower festival in May - far too busy and some of the plastic flowers ruined the sites (eg. plastic apple trees on steps of 'Game of Thrones' scene)!

Beautiful city full of life and amazing food!
Beautiful city full of life and amazing food! We loved strolling the streets finding new corners and hidden places. If you come here, go to Xibarri. They have the best burgers and desserts! It is not a typical tourist city. That is what we love about it the most.
The staff on the reception desk were really friendly. I wanted to practice my Spanish so they accommodated that and were really helpful with providing orientation to the city. The room was very clean and comfortable and as we were staying early in the week, the rate was very reasonable. The location was amazing - just at the edge of the river and across the bridge from the old town, near the shops and all the main historical sites. I would thoroughly recommend the hotel and Girona as a place to visit for a few days.
The location was perfect, and the staff was really helpful (Victor was the best host/introduction we experienced in our entire trip throughout Spain).
The apartment was spacious, well stocked, and in a great location for cycling and seeing the key sites around the older part of Girona. Nice views of the city/street on one side of the apartment (small 2nd story deck on the street side with cathederal view) and one of the bedrooms also had a view of the river and red bridge.
Location perfect for me as just a few minutes walk from the railway station and about ten minutes walk to the start of the old town area. Hotel rather dated but very clean and quiet. Staff very helpful and managed to change my booking for me without charge when my plans had to change at short notice due to the French railway strikes. Room very small but a large lounge on the ground floor if you needed space to sit and relax.
Rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. Location was OK, about a mile from the old town which is an easy walk. Breakfast was a good self service selection, as one expects in Spanish hotels. The cycle store facility was excellent. I accidentally left my cycle tool bag behind when I left, but the hotel staff located it and arranged for it to be shipped back to me. Thank you to all concerned.
This location was absolutely stunning. The balcony from our room looked out over a beautiful courtyard with a view of the Girona Cathedral. During our two week stay in Spain at various locations, our stay in Girona was my favorite. The room was lovely and immaculately clean. We will definitely return!
Very nice hotel very close to the Old Town. Parking at hotel but a little difficult to get to. Very large comfortable room. Young man at front desk was very helpful. We were very surprised at how big and nice Old Town was for walking late on a Saturday night.
Fabulous position near the cathedral, very characterful as per the photos, need to check in at the hotel historic, just up the street were we left our luggage for the day on check out. Friendly staff who gave us excellent restaurant recommendations.
It may only be a 3 star but this was perfect for a boys cycling weekend. 10 minute walk from the old town but otherwise well located, rooms were great, breakfast was really good and the pool was a nice touch.
Hotel has secure bike storage
location, location, location!! great hotel, fantastic facilities, easy to get to/from, and in the best area of Girona. the hotel is super quiet, clean, and the showers and airco air top notch. excellent restaurant right next door as well!
amazing location and friendly staff. Hotel facilities were wonderful especially considering I’m a cyclist and the hotel has many amenities catered towards cycling. I would definitely recommend and I’ll be returning again.
This hotel is in a perfect location for the bus and train station plus easy walking to the old town. The room was a generous size and very clean. All the staff are helpful and the cafeteria is great value for money.
Nice hotel. Outside of Old town, but within walking distance.
Nice views of the mountains and rest of Girona from the roof.
Free parking was a big plus! Bed was comfortable.
Would definitely stay here again.
Lovely hotel, pleasant staff, nice room if a bit dated, comfortable bed, bathroom excellent, great shower, good breakfast, location superb, close to old town and 10 mins from train/bus station
Simple hotel, but standards were high
Room small with single bed, but everything needed was there
Well located a few minutes walk from the station and close to old town
For me this is a hotel that deserves more than 3 stars. I am always surprised by the quality of the rooms, of food in the restaurant and the kindness of it's employees
friendly and helpful staff, clean modern hotel with bigger than average bedrooms and bathroom. Close to river and old town with good restaurants nearby.
