Loved it! I originally had reservations right across the street at a hostel. Made last minute reservations to this place and I’m glad I did! A must stay for GR-65 hikers!

The location next to the Lot river is very nice, the room is very clean.
My room's balcony has a nice view of the river, with a small boat docking nearby, partially covered by a tree.

The hotel is out of the town, Cahors. We wanted to be in town to visit a friand and did not plan to rent a car, The first day we had to rent a taxi. However, after a day the staff helped us find a free, departmental bus service that took us into town and to the train station.

Cahors has a great train station and plenty of buses. The town has everything you need and more. It is right on the River Lot. A great base to then explore vineyards, boating, beautiful villages. Cahors has a wonderful indoor market.

The Sat nav details on booking.com are still incorrect.
The Sat nav details on booking.com are still incorrect. Another guest complained about this on booking com in Sept 2021and hotel said they would correct it. Still not done. Makes for a stressful beginning to an otherwise good value overnight stay.

Cahors is a lovely old town which was great for an overnight stop. However, don't go on a Sunday or Monday as most places are closed, especially in the old town which was the part we were mainly interested in. Had a fab meal in L'Auberge restaurant in the old part of the town. We had to google restaurants that were open Sunday evenings and this came up. It was really lovely.

A mixed bag of history as well as awful functional modern box architecture from the 1970s -1990s. The main part of the historical centre is treelined and pleasant to sit. Great if you are a red wine buff.

We appreciated the friendliness of everyone we met.
We appreciated the friendliness of everyone we met. We are good French speakers which helps, but nevertheless many locals spoke some English! ( This is not always the case in some regions!)
The tourist office was especially helpful and staff in restaurants, shops and the hotel were all very welcoming to visitors.
The « Petit Train » was fun ( book in advance at the ticket office just a short walk riverside from the Best Western hotel) and this trip saved weary legs on day two!
A gastronomic centre!! Apart from duck, foie gras, and truffles on offer - the wonderful creamy Rocamadour cheese must not be missed! Not to forget the Malbec wine!
For a special treat lunch the Tourist Office recommended La Truite Dorée at Vers - great choice.
In town the Bistrot at the covered market provided an excellent value delicious lunch ( eg a huge Croq Monsieur with minced duck!!! ) and for something more elaborate go to the nearby Au fil des Douceurs. 🤩 Just by this resto is a very good cave au vins showcasing many local wines … the helpful and knowledgeable guy in the shop delivered our purchases to the hotel!
Only one small moan - the lack of prominent hôtel street signs in the town to help lost visitors. Our Sat nav did not understand where to cross the railway line!
This is the second time I have stayed in this hotel and I really like it. It is in a lovely setting along the Lot and you can easily walk into town. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the dogs are made welcome.
The evening meal is excellent with a range of choices and good value. Freshly baked gluten free bread was available.
Breakfast was really good too with lots to choose from and also good value. In dry weather the outside terrace is a lovely place to eat and enjoy river views. Ample parking and pleasant staff.
The apartment is new, well-equipped and beautifully decorated. It doesn’t have air conditioning, but it was fine inside with +36 outside. Comfortable beds. Easy check-in and check out process. Free big parking just behind the building across the street. City centre with bars and restaurants 15-20 min walk across the bridge. Cahors itself very nice town worth exploring. Our family really enjoyed our stay.
lovely house and facilities, hosts very friendly and accommodating, breakfast on the terrace each morning was wonderful, and only had to walk 100m to watch TdF fly past. bit of a trek into centre of Cahors, but we knew that when we booked - also found there is a free bus service (no2) from just down the road that goes right into the centre of Cahors anyway.
This is a small but very neat and well designed studio apartment right next to the cathedral, ideal for exploring Cahors and accessing shops and restaurants. Free parking nearby. Great for a short stay/ city break.Safe and secure. Spotlessly clean.
Excellent location, walking distance to the river and the old town. Clean comfortable room with an ensuite in a large elegant private apartment. Nicely presented breakfast. Helpful and friendly hosts who gave us tips for exploring Cahors.
Great communication from the hostess, great location for exploring Cahors (on foot) and room was small but very clean and had everything I needed. Would absolutely stay here again- just for the kindness and help the hostess offered.
Hotel is clean, bed and pillows are comfortable. It's away from Cahor centre but short driving distance. There is McDonald's, boulongerie, supermarket nearby the hotel with walking distance.
We appreciate very much the attention that we have received. The breakfast was very tasty, the facilities comfortable. Cahors is a wonderful town and the location to enjoy it is perfect.
Two receptionists, one evening and one morning. Both very cheery and helpful, everything very neat. The drinks machines were also very useful. Will stay again at a Brit Hotel!
Modern hotel with a great view; helpful staff; pleasant room with good facilities; on-site parking; few minutes walk to old part of Cahors where several restaurants are sited.
