Thhe staff was excellent, spoke English and were eager tto make our stay enjoyable.
The bed, while comfortable, was too low to the floor.
Huge room, very good location and great staff
Very small lift, bathroom needed a revamp
Great helpful staff, perfectly located for all that Avignon has to offer
Breakfast was not good value
We liked that the hotel was conveniently located within the city walls and within walking distance to the major sites and restaurants.
The air conditioner made inconsistent noises that kept us from sleeping well and the hair dryer was worthless. I would recommend it as a convenient place to stay for a "reasonable" amount of money but in the price range, it was the least favorite of the 9 hotels we stayed in during our trip.
It was close to everything.
The hotel seems old but clean. Staffs are very very good. The most impressive service is their parking service, they do not only provide a parking space, they also help u to park your car. Every time when u want to use your car, tell hotel staff, than your car will stop in front of the hotel within mins.
A car wasn't needed. We parked ours for the 2 days we were there. Staff very helpful. Good breakfast. Room and big bathroom very clean. Hotel was quiet for being on a very busy Main Street.
Our a/c cooled but the room was humid. Thought the price was high without breakfast included or parking. One or the other should be included. Leaving the key at the front desk was different but not bad once we understood that was what was the procedure.
Location, v helpful girl receptionist.
Rubber sheet on bed which squeaked whenever you moved and was horrible to sleep on! Room was very dark. Valet parking was good but on return parked sticking out into the road so a cyclist came and shouted at us while we loaded our bags!
Nice and clean. One of our room is newly renovated.Good location and Valet parking at €13 is very reasonable since we can travel within the city on foot without worrying about the car.
The staff is not so friendly.
Great location, friendly and helpful stuff. I would definetly recommand this hotel
Sometimes in the early mirning you can hear the garbage track outside but it's quiet most of the time.
Ideal location. Professional, cheerful and helpful staff. Comfortable room.
No shower curtain.
poor furniture and design, not very good value of money, no vantilation in bathroom
Two of the people at the desk were very nice and helpful. A young Japanese lady and the one male. The other two could care less and one very rude in my opiinion
The rudeness of some of the staff. The air conditioning was not ac. Very warm and uncomfortable. We were told we could not use the refrigerator and that is was forbiden to have any food in the room. That's a first. The rooms were very small. The heat coming through the glass of the bathroom made it so hot, that the bedroom was then too hot also. The A.C. was poor at best and didn't need additional heat coming from the bathroom
The Hotel Bristol is in a very good locartion only a few minutes walk from the main sites of Avignon. The staff were very pleasant and courteous, and we valued the valet parking service. There are many nice bars and restaurants a stones throw from the hotel door so you won't be stuck to find somewhere good to eat. The room was comfortable and nicely appointed. I wouldn't class it as luxury by any stretch, but it was a nice room and the facilities were good. Avignon is a very pretty city with plenty to see. The location of the Bristol means you are never too far away from anything. I would recommend it and it was certainly good value for money.
Bathroom- no shower curtain or any way of containing the water when showering- big mess! No counter space in bathroom for toiletries bags.
Good location! Helpful staff, helped us with dinner reservations.
Bad shower, wouldn't stay up. Someone opened the door to our room 2 of the 3 mornings we spent there. Expensive!
We were scolded for even asking if parking was included. We checked out at 12:03, only to be told that we should have checked out before noon. Very poor customer service. We've stayed at hundreds of hotels, this one ranks at the bottom in terms of customer service. Take your business elsewhere!
The location was in one of the main streets not far from the Papal Palace, and surrounded by good eateries. On the whole it was better in all respects than I would have expected from a *** in Britain.
I didn't dislike anything. It exceeded my expectations.
This hotel is very conveniently located, on the main street near the train station. However, I found it a little expensive given the room condition.
Located within the city wall and close to the action - couldn't be better. We pulled up outside (no parking allowed) and they dealt with our luggage and parked the car for us in the blink of an eye. Such a friendly hotel.
Hard to fault it. The hotel represents good value for money.
I know Avignon is a small town but the hotel was REAL CLOSE to the train station. like 5min? The room was spacious and clean.
The fridge was so packed with their not so free drinks that i couldn't put any of my water inside
Staff was friendly
Rooms & bathroom need refurbishing specially the bathroom...!
Staff helped greatly to correct a serious oversight in reservation that nearly resulted in leaving Hotel due to being offered the choice of only an unacceptable 1 star room.
Hotel booked us into a very small room with a shaft way "view". Corrected only with the help of a good front desk staff. Room is not three star quality and should only be offered at deep discount.
Service, valet parking, help with luggage, room, breakfast
Counter staff spoke good English and were helpful. Fresh towels every day, hot water for bath. Buffet breakfast was reasonable at 13E. Could even make own soft boiled eggs on the spot and the coffee was good
No kettle to make own cup of tea or coffee. They want you to go down to their tea room to buy hot drinks but it closes at night and if you want a hot cuppa tea at night, you have to wait till morning. Bathroom was big but fixtures were old Lighting in the room was dim No hooks to hang and air dirty clothes.
