Breakfast offered a nice selection of breads, croissants, cereals, eggs, good coffee.
Staff were all helpful and friendly. Our room was small but adequate and rather picturesque.

This studio room was just a delight and the outlook beautiful. Our host couldn’t have been more helpful and Giverny is one of my favourite places, so we were very happy.

It was situated in a charming, “ancien” chateau right on the quaint cobblestone street of Rue Claude Monet. October, and still the lane was filled with flowers! Véronique was an extraordinarily gracious host, offering to pick us up from the train station. We found the accommodations delightful—very cozy and well appointed, everything we needed in this sweet lair above her art studio. It was a 5 minute walk to Claude Monets gardens and home, and a 2 minute walk to the beautiful old church where he and family members were buried. We spent 3 days walking in the picturesque hills above Giverny, through farmland and forests. It was relaxing and quaint and slow-paced, a world away from Paris.

This is the best stay I’ve had anywhere! Dorinda and Roger went above and beyond and treated me like family. They picked me up from the train station and even let me checkout late. I loved the apartment and garden, and the rabbit Harry. I highly recommend staying with them!

The location provided quiet yet close walkable access to the village of Giverny. The view from the living room was lovely! The kitchen was very well equipped (not that we cooked!). Alexis was very responsive and was clearly interested in making sure our stay was perfect, which it was. I would go back to Giverny just to stay here!

Beautiful new property with charming hosts and good location. We loved our stay.

Giverny is a charming and historic town that has an intimate feel despite having a world-class attraction of Monet’s Gardens. On our visit, visitors seemed thoughtful and respectful, and like us, were in awe of the beauty of the village itself, as well as the magnificent gardens themselves. It was a great pleasure to stroll through the streets of Giverny, and the advantage of staying in town is that most visitors to the gardens have left by late afternoon and the village itself is peaceful and interesting to explore.
Although restaurant options in town are somewhat limited (however there is apparently a Michelin starred restaurant in town), we enjoyed dining at “Le Temps des Fleurs”, on a covered terrace overlooking a garden.
We also enjoyed visiting the Giverny Museum of Impressionism, which is a more intimate space with no permanent collection, but interesting temporary exhibitions.

A charming village with good restaurants, bakery and cafes.
A charming village with good restaurants, bakery and cafes. The Museum was interesting and held beautiful artwork of Impressionists. Monet's garden and house were a treat to visit. Our timing was perfect - there was much in bloom and the weather was cooperative. There were hidden monuments - Monet's bust, the monument to him and his family. And the house was beautifully replicated.

Beautiful village, with a sense of peace and quietness despite many tourists. Monets garden is absolutely worth a visit as well as the impressionist museum. We had dinner at the new restaurant “Oscar” at the museum (excellent food at a fair price, definitely recommend it)

This centre was lacking in the overall character of a village. The gardens were the focus. But there was very little opportunity to enjoy the village separate to the gardens as there were no shops to buy local cheese, yes there is a bakery but no partisse. It had character but no sole.

We loved the gardens and house although very busy.
We loved the gardens and house although very busy. Glad we chose the earlier booking option as by the time we left it was mobbed. If we had longer we would have gone to the museum too, however, we were en route south and needed to get going.
Like it even better once we left the pre booked disgusting Les Rouges Gorges and paid for another stay at the idyllic La Dime.
Really great apartment on main pedestrian path in Giverny. Bright, clean, and confortable on 1st floor (no elevator) above art gallery. Owner very nice. Bathroom modern and clean. Short walk to Monet gardens. Free parking on premises. Nice view from windows. A little tricky to bring car to premises. ...turn 1st right after roundabout up narrow hill till you reach pedestrian path, turn right on path till you get to green pillar. Contact owner and she will lower pillar for you and then turn right into property.
We managed to book this hotel when Giverny was closing for winter. The staff which were young went out of their way to help us. Even though the restaurant was closed for our second night, they still provide dinner for us, as all the restaurants were closed in the town. Plus a very large storm was coming though and we had to get to Vernon and there were no buses so they arranged to take us. It was an exciting stay. Special thanks to Kimi for looking after us!
I'm aware in writing this that everyone's taste is not the same. This is a lovely rustic French garden and collection of buildings. The room had a basic kitchen, shower room, two comfy single beds and a lovely setting in the peace and quiet of Giverny. Nearby are places to get an evening meal or lunch .. the price of our room included breakfast, which was a fresh baguette and two croissants hung on the door handle in a cotton bag.
From the moment we checked in to the time we left, the staff was amazing. My husband and I were beyond impressed with the attention to detail and all the “little things”. They went above and beyond to accommodate our stay and made our last evening in France extra special. Our favorite part was the breakfast delivered to the room in the cutest little basket. We wished we spent more nights here!
The location, it is located right on the Rue Claude Monet. Claude Monet’s House and Gardens is just approx. 5 mins walk. It is a beautiful building, you have everything you need in the apartment. Comfortable bed, quite! We received all the necessary info we need before self check in - how to get the key, where to park, where to get grocery, where to dine.
This place is excellent! Beautiful and cozy! The hosts were father and daughter, very wonderful and pleasant. We felt safe and at home. Their breakfast was delicious, prepared by Luciano. Location is walking distance to Monet’s house and gardens. Bathroom was very clean, the bed was a king size and very comfortable. We will be coming back!
The apartment was in a stunning old french house on the main road of Rue de Claud Monet . In the centre of all Giverny has to offer. Lovely shower. Huge light rooms . Lovely view of outside garden and terrace. Garden furniture provided. Kettle, toaster, coffee machine. Washing machine, fridge, cooker, microwave.
We had a fantastic stay at the Orpheus Lodge! Ideal location, high standards of fitting and comfort, welcoming and friendly hosts, and excellent amenities meeting all our needs perfectly. We highly recommend the Orpheus Lodge to anyone visiting Giverny!
The location is superb. A one minute walk from Claude Monet’s grave. 5 minutes from his house and gardens. It’s spacious. We stayed in the three bedroom. It has every basic thing you would need. It is quaint and beautiful.
Wonderful room in Giverny. Lovely host, great breakfast. Excellent facility. Close to Claude Monet house and gardens. Numerous restaurants. Parking on premises.
