I only stayed for one night while travelling to another place, so I didn't spend long in the city but it really impressed me and I wish I had more time to explore it. Metz was amazing! The Christmas markets were fantastic and the city itself is gorgeous! It is just the right size to get a city feeling, but not too large to be overwhelming! We stayed only one night.
We stayed only one night. The city has a nice historical center with various small restaurants and cafes. The rivers are surrounding the city which creates many beautiful views and a few small islands. We did not realise we had to park the car on the designated hotel parking level so finding the car back was fun! (not being sarcastic, I really laughed as I just could not find my way out). The lift from the hotel brings you to the correct level but our car was not on it so spent ten minutes finding the car back in the labyrinth of the parking...
