A boutique Georgian hotel, Fishmore Hall overlooks Ludlow, with stunning views over the Shropshire countryside. Recently restored, the hotel boasts contemporary bedrooms with designer bathrooms.
Score from 215 reviews Fabulous
Located in a listed building in a pleasant area of Shropshire, The Town House offers bed and breakfast accommodation. Free WiFi is accessible throughout.
Score from 2 reviews Superb
A short walk from Ludlow town centre, The Charlton Arms provides attractive rooms and fine dining on the Ludford Bridge. This Shropshire pub is just 10 minutes’ walk from the medieval Ludlow Castle.
Score from 133 reviews Very good
This fine English country house hotel (AA 85% Merit) is ideally located 1.5 miles from the market town of Ludlow, and offers an excellent standard of service, fine dining and outstanding...

Felt at home, relaxing atmosphere. lovely grounds, clean rooms. Good car parking
superb location car parking on site great views character of the hotel very comfortable room pleasant and helpful staff
en-suite bathroom was a bit tired couldn't turn shower to hot as the lever hit the on/off tap
The staff went out of their way to help us. English breakfast was excellent. Building is full of character and charm. Location is excellent, Ludlow is beautiful.
No iron, no shower, very noisy pub next door
Location was excellent, gardens lovely and well maintained. A good breakfast, with friendly efficient service. Plenty of parking. Overall, a nice hotel in a beautiful town, but choose your room with care as some do look nice on the website.
The room (York 14) was odd, straight off the dining room so we never got to see the rest of the hotel. Bathroom was very tired, shower a joke, and the room was cold. Double bed was actually twin beds joined up. Told on arrival that dinner was only available to us at 6.15 so ate elsewhere. On return from town found about 8 other diners in situ, and a lot of empty unused set tables, so wondered why we were effectively told to eat out. Lost income opportunity for the hotel, but Marches on the market square is to be recommended.
Very central. Evening meal good.
Could do with better WiFi coverage.
1St Location 2nd Staff 3rd Value for money
The only down-side was the Bathroom Behind the toilet Mould and Dirt .An upgrade is neaded
Old hall ,staff ,location,food
Could hear people moving in other rooms due to floorboards. No mirror near plug socket for hair dryer
The hotel was subtle, quiet and unobtrusive with class. Management were always there to oblige but low key. A perfect break from an otherwise hectic life.
There was nothing to dislike.
The helpfulness of the waitress and the overall customer service standards
not being able to get a night cap especially after saying to the staff we would have our coffee and brandy's later
Location. Lovely view from room.
The noise transmitted from the room above - very obtrusive. Overpriced for what you get.
Decor, food and courteous staff. Pretty, comfortable bedroom and very functional attractive bathroom.
Not great atmosphere in restaurant although food excellent.
Great location near the town centre and castle.
Great location, right by the castle Staff couldn't have been nicer Lovely spacious suites Modern, refurbished fittings
Poor selection and atmosphere at breakfast - definitely caters to a much older crowd than us Bed was insanely soft, really not good for your back!
The location was great as was the view from the bedroom. It was quiet at night.
The entrance/stairwell is very dark, tired and depressing. Meal times too restricted. The room was adequate, but not cleaned very well, dust on skirtings, bed side tables, carpet well worn, bits missing off chandelier mis- matched bulbs, furniture ok and room had recently been painted, but wallpaper peeling off ceiling and behind radiator, cracked tile in bathroom, overall dated and tired. Paid £150 for an upgraded room wasn''t worth it. Stayed at Best Western York House for £40 per night less, following two nights, room absolutely fab, stylish, had dressing room and huge bath/shower room, lots of extras, fresh fruit, different drinks, note pads, slippers, own hairdryer, dressing gowns. Think Dinham Hall could learn alot from them, as you can keep the feel of the property and still be stylish.
Lovely, comfortable sitting room. Friendly and helpful staff. Great location
Shower not effective.
This charming hotel is in the centre of Ludlow, alongside the castle and has private parking facilities. Great dining and good breakfasts. Some rooms in an annexe, but these are quite acceptable. I recommend this establishment to you.
Service could be a little lackadaisical at times, but this added to the charm.
The room was spacious and very clean. The Hotel was quiet and relaxing, just what we were looking for. The food in the restaurant was very good.
Breakfast, Easy town location, courteous staff.
This has to be the noisiest floors for creeky boards that I have ever experienced. Surely something should be done about it. WiFi is very short range needs updating.
Best nights sleep in ages. Staff excellent even with a very difficult customer.
Lovely historical feel to our suite. Great location (on the edge of the town so walking distance to shops, castle, etc) with a lovely outdoor space to sit out and enjoy a few drinks in the current hot spell. Restaurant exceeded our expectations, pricier than average but excellent quality and faultless service from very friendly and helpful staff. House wine(both white and red) far better than average and well worth the money.
Minor issues of convenience only - no ironing board & iron or face flannels - I know we could have asked if necessary, but in a suite you would normally expect them to be there.
The hotel is set in lovely grounds and has a great view over the countryside. The bed was comfy and quite. We stayed in the Flower Garden Room. Breakfast was very nice and overlooking the garden. Perfect location for getting around Ludlow just across from the Castle.
The old house is central- just next to the castle and market, yet really peaceful with views of neighbours gardens and the countryside from the garden. Had The Flower Room in the garden annex, which was very tastefully decorated, comfortable, reasonably spacious and quiet. The staff were all exceptionally pleasant and helpful
The Wifi access did not reach the room. We had requested a sheet and blanket, but bed was made up with a duvet, although a sheet (actually a double duvet cover) was provided quickly when requested, as was an extra office chair. The bathroom would have benefited by having a grip handle to hold when getting out of the bath + a bathmat
Ventilation fell short but weather was exceptionally warm.
