A short walk from Ludlow town centre, The Charlton Arms provides attractive rooms and fine dining on the Ludford Bridge. This Shropshire pub is just 10 minutes’ walk from the medieval Ludlow Castle.

A boutique Georgian hotel, Fishmore Hall overlooks Ludlow, with stunning views over the Shropshire countryside. Recently restored, the hotel boasts contemporary bedrooms with designer bathrooms.

Lovely Building, well situated next to castle.
Room smelt old /musty. Service was a bit slow at breakfast. ( understaffed at function)
We liked the central location with parking facilities. Also we appreciated a delightful afternoon tea in the lounge shortly after we arrived.
The position is outstanding - opposite the castle and close to the market square. Decent parking makes it the most convenient hotel in Ludlow.
While nothing is unacceptable, there is a tired and faded feel to the place. Some of the staff are very pleasant but we were met at reception by a young female who had no social graces at all. One of our bedside lamps didn't work, the carpet was stained and the bathroom was shabby and dated which would be acceptable if it was cheap but a hotel charging these prices should be better.
Excellent food and service
Breakfast and location.
Location to town centre and Ludlow race course
Tired bathroom Tired bedroom carpet sink waste needs replacing and toilet flush not working
Location was excellent
Was very surprised about the lack of customer service skills shown by the staff. We were not asked if we had visited the area before or whether we would like any details about where to eat other than were we eating in the hotel. When we decided to eat in the hotel we were told the kitchen was closing at 7:30pm due to lack of customers, which isn't really very good. The breakfast was good but the evening meal was extremely average. We did have a nice room but when you are paying nearly £200 a night you do expect a nice room.
The food was a bit yesterday, well cooked and presented but ......
fairly large well furnished quiet room overlooking trees
towel radiator not working over bath shower not great
The view was stunning and the staff first class. Supper was well cooked and tasty.
Our bedroom needed updating and the shower was poor. The wood outside our window needs attention.
Location Space & lounges
Poor protein portions in restaurant Pleasant but poorly trained staff-cheese no description wine not poured out for tasting. No one asked if we enjoyed anything! No local fruit at breakfast Cramped bathroom Instant coffee & packet milk in room
Really delightful accommodation! Beautiful food and very well located.
The situation of the hotel, the friendliness of the staff and the comfortable bed and pillows.
Not enough seating in the lounge.
Location, breakfast, size of room, clean
wifi not availble in room "superior" room really not that special
On arrival, notice the bath was dirty, only staff member good young lad, who came and cleaned it. Next morning went out, came back after lunch, sheets thrown over the bed and floor not hoovered. Registered my complaint on leaving, not really accepted, by the manager/owner.
Dinham Hall is in a great location to many attractions, including Ludlow Castle, which was the main reason for our visit. Unfortunately Elliotts Restaurant was closed the night we stayed. Very quaint but comfortable & most obliging staff. Beautifully decorated to the era & almost exactly as we expected from the reviews & photos on website.
Lovely bedroom in the garden 'Flower Room' - very peaceful and very comfortable bed.
Whole place felt a bit tired like something from the eighties, and the breakfasts (the only meals we had) were just depressing, choice of Weetabix and cornflakes, eggs served on cold plates, bacon like leather and not very nice coffee.
Felt at home, relaxing atmosphere. lovely grounds, clean rooms. Good car parking
superb location car parking on site great views character of the hotel very comfortable room pleasant and helpful staff
en-suite bathroom was a bit tired couldn't turn shower to hot as the lever hit the on/off tap
The beautiful rooms, garden and food.
Before we booked we telephoned to check that we could leave our car until 5pm on the day we checked out. We were assured we could. So we booked. However, after we had paid our bill we were told in no uncertain terms that we would have to move our car immediately as it would get boxed in and he would not be prepared to ask people to move. The manager was extremely rude. We would not have booked to stay at this hotel if we had not been assured of parking. This incident ruined what had been a lovely experience. The rest of the staff had been friendly and efficient. Not so the manager.
Position, peacefulness, beautiful building, proximity to town, the way the room was furnished. Breakfast good, well served.
Awful pillows, uncomfortable bed. Exterior of hotel requires attention, looking a little shabby. Several curtain hooks missing. For the price we paid, everything should have been perfect and of a high quality.
The staff went out of their way to help us. English breakfast was excellent. Building is full of character and charm. Location is excellent, Ludlow is beautiful.
The location and car parking is good as is the breakfast
Arrival was fine we were then supprised with the colour scheme in the dark stairway (red) made it feel even darker. The room was on the small side, (we had room Clive) and is a tired room in need of an upgrade also the cleaner needs to clean the dust away. There did not seem to be a care about the room ie the tray for the water & glasses had trim hanging off it so I put it back, the sink needs changing, the shower was on for 5 mimutes before we had warm water and there was more water pressure coming down the drain pipe. On our second night we came back at 10.30pm for a glass of wine at the bar before going to bed only to find it was all locked up and no staff/night porter. The cost of the room for the standard of our stay is excessive at £109 p/night if it was a more realistic price of £75 p/night I would still think the room is in need of upgrade but this would have been reflected in the price or if it was a B&B which is what it felt like. The acid test is would we stay here again.......No.
No iron, no shower, very noisy pub next door
