Great location. Good to have on site parking. Staff very helpful and informative. Nice cooked breakfast.
A lovely house, great food and a fantastic location - very central. The staff are most helpful and can't do enough for you.
Lovely bed View of castle from room Bath in bathroom which filled quickly with plenty of hot water
A grand and elegant building in fantastic location adjacent to Ludlow Castle. Tastefully furnished in period style. Staff are friendly, polite and attentive, and the the restaurant is excellent. Ludlow is a great town to visit, especially on market days.
Lovely old place, great location, nice staff.
External lighting to the annex room could be a bit better
Comfy bed. Quiet convenient location
Excellent position in the town, lovely garden, nice lounge, good breakfast
restaurant not open, room needs refurbishing, bannister rail in the hall wobbly
We stayed in the Flower Room which was like a studio apartment in the grounds. We loved it. Plus really good location for walks round the town or along the river.
We had the evening meal, but it was only average. Also the first evening we wanted a drink - nightcap and coffee and we couldn't get into the main building, seemed like everyone had gone. we didn't complain as there seemed to be only one guy on duty and he was lovely.
Ceilings thin .
The welcome, The location, The quality of the meal, The confort in a very relaxing atmosphere, The parking, The acceptance of our dog.
The fact that the WIFI do not work in the bedroom.
excellent location.good breakfast
booked standard room.our room was in the garden cottage a couple minutes walk to the hotel,(walked to breakfast in rain) there is no mention of any garden cottage on website .it did not feel like you were staying at Dinham hall.bathroom cold, dirty ,needs updating.the price they charge for this !!!
I town Central location, everything just a short walk away. Comforta ble hotel.
Very friendly and helpful staff.lovely large comfortable room with nice views from all windows.although in the centre of town very quiet..also nice to have the parking
Room could have been warmer in the evening was a little cold
THE HOTEL ITSELF IS AN OLD BEAUTIFUL BUILDING. THE BREAKFAST WAS FIRST CLASS. STAFF VERY PLEASENT. RIGHT IN THE CENTRE OF LUDLOW, NEAR TO SHOPS, CASTLE AND OTHER PLACES OF INTEREST. NICE RESTAURANTS WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE
WE STAYED IN THE CLIVE ROOM, THE CLEANINESS OF THE BATHROOM WAS NOT VERY GOOD, COPWEBS ON TILES AT TOP, AND TOP OF TILES DIRTY. SHOWER CURTAIN NEEDS TO BE CHANGED AS BOTTOM WAS VERY DIRTY/
The warm welcome and historic surroundings. The huge fireplace glowing coals - a real fire. We had a really stay inspite of a couple of niggles recorded below.
The small TV which was positioned away from the bed. A walled mounted TV which could be viewed from the bed. The electric shower was disappointing and safety could be improved by a grab rail to assist climbing in and out of the slippery bath.
The Location, The Food
Room Lighting poor No Wi-Fi in rooms
The Garden room was separate from the hotel and was roomy and comfortable
My wife thought the breakfast bacon was precooked and dry
The location was great.
It was not very warm, the heating system was not working well. The restaurant lacked atmosphere and the food was average for the price.
I loved the ambience of the Hotel which gave an insight into to an old English merchant style house, with a warm and welcoming feel. Could not be better located for Ludlow, great views to the front of the castle and gardens to the rear. Breakfast was lovely.
I pondered for ages over other peoples comments over needing a bit of upgrading. Yes to some extent I agree, but its clean, the bedroom was freshly emulsioned and furnished well and in context with its 3 star rating. I feel the bedroom could do with some thought to the decor and finishes, in the way they have done in the breakfast room perhaps.
The public rooms were clean and comfortable, the food at Elliot's was excellent,we ate there twice and enjoyed both meals,
Poor house keeping in the bedrooms, could do better.
Attractive hotel in the middle of Ludlow, which is a comfortable and convenient place to stay.
Central location with car parking. Breakfast buffet very good
Bedroom lighting rather dim, especially in seating area at night
Atmosphere and attentive staff
The room was dusty and had cobwebs
Friendly and helpful staff.
Steep stair access.
Excellent food staff, location and ambience.
A rather noisy bathroom fan and a rather moderate hospitality tray for the price band. Just small things really that just stop this gem of a place being perfect.
