The location of the flat was absolutely prefect !! It was so quiet but with a view over the market square so we could watch everything below. The flat was very tastefully decorated and very comfortable. It was just right for us. A big block of my favourite chocolate was there and that just made it for me !!

Spent entire day in the town: browsing and buying in the market (local cheeses....and liquorice from around the world!) in the morning. Did the guided town tour in the afternoon (very informative, hearing about Nelson's visit) and finished with exploring the castle. Thoroughly enjoyed it all!

Ludlow is a lovely old fashioned English town.
Ludlow is a lovely old fashioned English town. They have some quaint shops, lovely cafes, bars and restaurants. There is a proper market selling a lot of fresh produce on various days throughout the week and a lot of the local places use locally grown veg, meat, cheese, fruit and bread on their menus.
There is a lovely old castle to wander round and quite a few footpaths to go for a walk. The scenery around the area is stunning. Overall it's well worth a visit.
Only downside is the local council charges through the nose for parking and parking is limited.

It's a beautiful old town with lots of historic buildings, a fine castle and lovely riverside walks. It also has a reputation as a foodie heaven - I didn't sample very much but enjoyed the delicatessens, the specialist cheese shop and the cafes I visited. There are great views from many locations around town and a park and ride bus service that saves any parking-related hassle.
If I visit again, I'll try to take in a market day and eat less in the morning so I have room for a gourmet evening meal in one of the many recommended restaurants!

Our host gave us an extensive list of places to drink, eat, visit and explore.
We particularly enjoyed Ludlow castle and the walk across the river along a path called the Breadwalk.
Ludlow Brewing Company (conveniently located next to the train station!) is well worth a trip - the choice of beer is excellent and the staff are friendly and knowledgeable.
Drop into St Laurence's church too which is absolutely beautiful - tucked away behind the Church Inn and shares a beer garden with the pub!

We liked the old medieval buildings and streets.
We liked the old medieval buildings and streets. Our visit to the castle was most enjoyable. We were surprised at the extent of the castle buildings, although ruined and we learned a lot about the history of the site. There was also a delightful souvenir shop with very friendly assistants.
A very enjoyable, relaxed vibe that clearly celebrates great local produce, quality dining with an excellent wine list and well stocked bar.
The rooms are very comfortable, spacious with lots of special touches from the Elemis toiletries to the provided bath robe and self-serve drink items. The staff were very attentive and welcoming.
The hotel is set in a perfect location, just a 20 mins walk outside of Ludlow, surrounded by countryside and plenty of parking.
Excellent location in the middle of Ludlow. This hotel has friendly and very helpful staff , well trained and happy to offer assistance.
We had a deluxe room ( recommend ) which was reasonably spacious and had a beautiful bathroom . I think the ordinary rooms can be rather small.
We met friends who also stayed there and had dinner in the hotel 2 out of 4 nights . Good food .
Breakfast main was quite good
Nothing not to like. The Riverside Suites are enormous and beautifully fitted out.Hotel location excellent with a 10 minute walk into the centre of Ludlow.Breakfast freshly cooked and very tasty,we had dinner on two nights and that was very good too.Staff efficient and friendly.
The breakfast was excellent as was the host, a lovely, kind man with a sense of humour. My son and I would recommend this hotel to any of our friends looking to spend a holiday in Ludlow. Ours was a wonderful experience.
A lovely overnight stay in this great hotel with very comfortable beds, close to the main market square and Ludlow Castle. An excellent breakfast served in a light filled room with view over the countryside
