Lovely scenic village in the heart of the Peak District, great pubs with good beer, a well stocked village store and friendly community. The fells are on the doorstep and easily accessible , lovely views over the Kinder reservoir, peaceful moorland. The river Sett runs through the village and there are lots of spots to sit and relax

We didn't actually see much of Hayfield, but the bar in the hotel was a perfect local retreat.
We didn't try the food, apart from breakfast, because we were having a friends reunion at a different location.
I do know that Hayfield is an excellent place for walking and outdoor pursuits.

Beautiful location and with lots of walking options nearby! It's possible to walk to Kinder Scout from there, so we didn't drive much. The cottage was very well equipped, characterful and clean.

Hayfield is an interesting village and worth a walk around, A number of hikes can start here and it is easy to get into the dales and the peak district. There are good facilities in the village if you are in self catering.

Hayfield is a great place to stay and has lots of walks around the peak district. We had a great meal at The Sportsman's Inn, a 10 minute walk from the centre, but advise booking. Perfect for a walking holiday.

Hayfield is a lovely village on a busy Road.
Hayfield is a lovely village on a busy Road. Great walks every direction to get into the beautiful countryside. Good local shops and restaurants, fish and chips, Italian restaurants and local pub. Great central place fir visiting other attractions nearby
Very friendly welcome in central hayfield. But it is not b and b as no breakfast iin price.A nice place if spend 1 night crashout after long walk and beers, but very noisy room, squeaky floorbords and very noisy plumbing system so hear other occupants flushing loos and showering and coming and going. Had a nice breakfast when tea room opened but very limited as owners do not offer normal English breakfast as pork omitted.Very popular for afternnon teas as cakes look scrummy.
Hayfield is a great location for walking in the Peak District and has a decent selction of pubs and eateries for food and beer once the walking is done. Millie's is smack bang in the centre which is great, and the owner's cafe downstairs is absolutely cracking. Room was what you would expect for the price - not flash, but clean & tidy, comfortable and good wifi and TV channels. The host was lovely; proper customer service with nothing too much trouble.
Very good location in the centre of Hayfield village. Owner kindly allowed early bag/food drop off. Parked outside The George Hotel pub opposite; it serves a good Guinness. Spent two wonderful days walking to Kinder Scout and Edale; trails start just a short distance from the property. Cottage has very adequate cooking and bathroom facilities. Sit on the balcony and appreciate the views yonder.
The Lantern Pike was in a lovely location, and close to Hayfield where we needed to be. The room was a bit small, but adequate. The breakfast and evening meal were lovely with a good choice of home made food, and a packed lunch was made up for us for the following day. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Beautiful character cottage in a fantastic location in Hayfield. Great views. Ideally suited to a couple, given the size, but also the fantastic copper bath in the master bedroom! Parking was very easy - with plenty of space to be found on the road opposite the cottage.
The location of the property is fantastic for walkers you can walk from your door up to Kinder Scout and back. There is a pub at the end of the lane which serves fantastic food (except in a Monday it’s closed) you can walk into hayfield and you can walk up Lantern Pike.
The property is perfectly located at the very heart of Hayfield. Multiple footpaths and also pubs within walking distance without the need to drive. The house was in perfect condition. An almost private road provided ample parking space.
Nice clean room, the four poster bed was comfy, bathroom was clean with nice fluffy towels, food was really nice, the information booklet was good with lots of information about the lovely village and walks straight from the hotel
New owners, only been there for 5 weeks. Staff very helpful and friendly. Meals fine. Place obviously in need of a little tlc which talking to the new owners we feel sure it WILL get. Would recommend without any reservations.
Lovely house with comfy beds and all facilities you need. A short walk to Hayfield and a nice pub with good food just a couple of hundred metres away.
I loved being so near great walking!
We did not experience the breakfast due to us having a little too much alcohol but the hotel was lovely, staff where polite and bar service was good, village was beautiful.
The staff were very helpful and the location was perfect for the wedding we were attending at Upper House Hayfield. The breakfast was tasty and the rooms were good.
Charming bright and cosy 2 bed terraced house in centre of Hayfield - tons of character and great location near the Dales within easy reach of Manchester Airport.
