Position to centre of Birmingham & decent public transport
Bar prices were very expensive
Kids loved swimming
Not much choices of food and dessert
Three women standing behind bar and not one acknowledge us and another waiting to be served just carried on chatting and moving glasses around. Also one of staff switched off TV in bar that we were clearly watching an England rugby game on whilst having a quiet drink.
The room was described as overlooking parkland - it overlooked a car park! On arrival I could hear the TV in the bedroom next door - which did not concern me. Little did I know that I would hear every part of the gentleman's stay - from his trips to the toilet, coughs, even his mobile phone silently buzzing on his bedside cabinet at 7:30 am - I would even suggest it was an iPhone! Fortunately he was on his own!
its a nice and convenient location to get to and around birmingham, like whether it be star city or bullring
We stayed for 2 nights, and they did NOT clean our sheets, instead they made our bed with the same dirty sheets from the night before... Their excuse was they only clean the sheets every Other night! THAT IS POOR STANDARDS for ANY hotel! Especially for a Holiday Inn. Unacceptable....
comfort of bed tv channels cleanliness pool and sauna
the food at the restaurant in the evening was tasteless and expensive. very shocked at the price for value of the food
Quiet and cosy
Shower head was broken and not working.
Noisy people in next bedroom.Doors slamming in hall way from 5,30am. Noisy and difficult to sleep.
I stayed for 2 nights. The man at reception took a pre authorisation of £50 per night for incidental without telling me how much was being deducted. When I questioned this I was then told this is standard. I told him that this this is not standard as the last holiday inn I stayed at deducted only £25 per night. Does this mean that holiday inn can deduct any amount of money from my accountwithout telling? To be lied to by this person only compounds the problem and I think is disgraceful behaviour
Excellent service- forgot to add kids onto booking, but manager sorted a cot n sofa bed out instant
No lifts, so difficult with pram, carry car seat up the stairs can be heavy and awkward with a toddler running about and hands full of luggage. Hotel room service food not that nice
Shower pressure was good.
The wiFi speed was very slow.
The layout. Everything easy to find
It be room as clean and comfortable and all was good
Paying for wifi Come on now it's the 21st century, it should be free
Friendly staff, great beds, Wi-Fi is great
Little variety on an overpriced menu
Health club is pretty well equipped and open good hours.
Paid-only WiFi is a bit archaic these days and not worth it for the extortionate price.
Convenient location for motorway, staff helpful and room clean and comfortable- ticks all boxes.
Breakfast is variable and restricted times due to holiday period seemed to contribute to the problem.
Shower was a nightmare; spilled water on the floor and caused a miserable stay.
Staff were very helpful and welcoming.
The cleanliness of room wasn't great
The comfort of the bed
There is not really much privacy, because someone out the room can hear you from inside. The carpets need to be cleaned more or changed. Instructions on how to turn the shower on well.
Disappointed that wifi is chargeable
very close to the M6 very nice bedroom, great soft towels and tea making facilities in the room
Comfortable bed Room layout
Bathroom.!!!!!!!!! the bath was useless Had to stand and turn around to get other half of my body wet, and i am not a fat person i am 15.5 stone - 6ft tall also i could not remove the plug so water was left in bath. FOOD!!!!!!! fried breakfast was awful dried out black pudding sausages and bacon scrambled egg was two different colours as was left in tray for to long toast if not eaten immediatley turned to rubber inedible - tea - coffee was luke warm and only 5 people in for breakfast i wonder why and i tranfered from a premeire because i wanted more comfort, how wrong i was. Never again
The complementary drinks in compensation of inconvenience.
Recieving wrong information from staff. Bar not properly stocked. Was told to go to our rooms if we wanted to watch the football (Manchester United V Arsenal) on sky sports due to the rugby being on BBC1 in the bar and lounge areas even though sky sports was unavailable in our rooms. Was served the wrong food but when we notified the person who took our order and served us they told us that they didnt have the ultimate burger what we wanted so they gave us the standard burger that was cheaper but assured us that we were charged the correct price. One of the underwater pool lights fell out into the pool whilst we were in the pool.
