Breakfast and dinner were very good - but, because the dinner menu was the same every day, we felt we had to go elsewhere on some of the days. Perhaps 7 days of different menus would de better for those staying more than 1/2 days. If we had daily menu, we would have eaten there every evening. See above - and

Bed/bath/room/staff were fab!
Food was also great 8/10 - however I thought some of the dishes were a bit confused. Maybe trying too hard. A very strange basil cream cheese with lemon tart and raspberries was odd. But the rest of the meal was good. Stick to the classics guys! They always win in the end.

The host was incredibly friendly and hospitable. They went out of their way to accommodate us and ensure we had everything we needed.
My room (yellow) was incredible. Spotless room with a huge bathroom. The cleanliness was outstanding, and the bed was very comfortable.
The property is absolutely beautiful with a wonderful garden, tennis court, and views. There's a lovely pub a short walk away that does lovely food.
Don't hesitate to book this for your next trip. You'll love it.

It's a nice little village, quiet, but pub is one of the key central points and has good rooms attached. Staff are friendly and management is experienced and excellent. The live music is appreciated by guests and loical customers and all get together very well. The food is good, with a great chef who uses fresh local produce not from thefreezer!

No Wi Fi in Room
Television Did Not Work despite reporting it as not working.
Rooms a little Tired and boiler noise during the night made for interrupted sleeping. Beautiful area. Bathroom shower poor drainage tended to be a bit of a swimming pool if you were in the shower any length of time .

A tiny, very quiet village with this historic pub at its centre. Lovely contryside and easy access to the Suffolk coast and the RSPB reserve at Minsmere. Close to Snape Maltings. No street lights so great for star gazing. Pub is the nerve centre of the village with good food and lots of live entertainment.

It was a charming traditional locals pub… with extremely friendly warm locals. We’d booked several rooms for sons wedding. The bar staff were also really relaxed and friendly. The chef accommodated my request (mum of groom) for an earlier than normal breakfast which was extremely good of him (it was already a busy weekend for the pub) - the location was atmospheric and fab and the accomodation was extremely well maintained - and coming from a previous head housekeeper for a large estate … that comment doesn’t get given lightly! Thank you all at The Ship for making our weekend even more perfect.

A village with a variety of locals from all social groupings. Live Folk music at the Ship Inn on Monday afternoons which is well attended and serves good local craft beers and meals. Very quiet location and close to many places of interest and the coast. Ideal for long walks or short rambles. Car essential.

Great base for cycling around beautiful Suffolk countryside and villages.
I enjoyed cycling 32 miles from 6-8 am looking forward to the Ship Inn full English breakfast, which was great. But their instant coffee was disappointing.
Great stay at the Ship Inn in Blaxhall. Super nice people who are passionate about their pub and the lovely area they are in. Very warming and welcoming, sharing information about the area and interesting features around there.
Great food and drink, fish & chips were huge and delicious and local pints were very nice in front of the warm fire.
Will definitely be back next time we are up and look forward to it!
Welcome drink was nice touch.
Room clean and comfortable. Bathroom small, but clean and adequate.
Very obliging staff. Limited menu, but fine for a two day stay. English breakfast was faultless. Great sausages!
300 year old pub - a venue in the past for folk music and many photos of sessions from a bygone era. Really nice.
Lovely pub with a good atmosphere and very friendly and helpful staff. The pub had a varied menu and both meals we had - dinner and breakfast were excellent.
We stayed in a small self contained unit outside the main building which was very quiet.
