    Gosport is pleasant.

Gosport is pleasant. The area around Spring Garden Lane Apartments has some lovely houses, a beautifully converted rail station, green open areas. We ate at The New Benghal Indian restaurant. We also lunched at The Gosport Cafe. Both were very good. The apartment was within walking distance of the Gosport passenger ferry which takes you Portsmouth harbour.

The fun fare, archades, Fish n chips, nice ice cream shop on Lea in Solent and one stop shop near the Old Lodge hotel - excellent. The toilets on the Lee on Solent need attention - for hand-washing, water was not working and there was no soap.

Great walk along sea front, lovely view over to the Isle of Wight. Watching the Sailing boats was very relaxing. Gosport town doesn’t have much to offer, but a ferry across to Gunwharf Keys, is a great idea.

The Anglesey is clearly a hotel with a rich history and, during it's heyday, was no doubt a premier Victorian hotel. It has retained a lot of these original features whilst adapting well to 2st century life. All the staff we encountered were incredibly friendly and helpful and, the breakfast was excellent. All in all, it represented incredible value for money and, I would have no hesitation in recommending it to others. We will definitely stay again!

Lovely hotel, recently refurbished looks fresh and nice. Rooms well furnished, no creaky floor boards and a beautifully functioning sash window. Good firm mattress. Can't comment on breakfast as we didn't have any but the lady who runs the hotel is charming, warm and extremely welcoming as are the staff. The water pressure was excellent and hot water was available instantly.

The Alverbank Hotel is a spot with luxurious huge chambers in an quiet park, just a few minutes from the sea with a pebble beach. The view from the chamber was very nice, the sea framed with trees. The staff was very vriendly. Besides the weekend the restaurant is closed but there are plenty of options within reach. From Gosport a small ferry crosses to Portsmouth.

It's a beautiful house, we have booked Brockhurst Lodge before, it's comfortable, clean and warm. It has everything we needed for a short break. There's also books, games and DVDs if we wanted them. There is a dedicated parking space. It's convenient because it's close to a shopping area and it's only a short drive to Gosport and the ferry to Portsmouth.

The location is excellent, a short walk from Gosport ferry to take you across to Portsmouth Harbour and a short walk to town. The room was clean, if a little small, with hairdryer, TV, large bed, a coffee machine and a decent bathroom with shower.

It was a great welcome by Kirsty. The location was excellent, and the hotel was easy to find. There was off road parking for a number of cars, if the hotel had been full, then road parking would have been needed.
