friendly staff pleasant atmosphere
possible to get room without bath could hear evrything happening in other rooms no secure space for valuable items
This is positively thee best location in London to stay. It oozes class, Bentleys and Maseratis by the barrel load. It is right next to the Albert Hall and some of the best museums in the world. But for me it is the buzz about the place that really appeals. Living amongst the Kensington millionaires well makes you feel like one albeit for a few short days.Staying here is an experience, irrespective of the hotel.
The hotel itself is more like a hostel, but you're rubbing shoulders with stockbrokers and general toff, so just make the most of it. The staff are brand new btw!!
Great hotel,everyone was amazingly friendly!
Nothing for me everything was really good
The smell of food The grimey, grey bedding and towels The totally inadequate shower
Room was covered in mould and was generally unclean. We did not sleep in the beds as these too were unclean. We booked for 4 nights and only stayed 1 night!
1) the staff 2) The location
Proximity to Kensington Gardens, Tube station, and hop on hop off bus stop. Cramped conditions for five in one room but beds were comfortable. Awesome breakfast and service - we were very well catered for - full english breakky, cereals, heaps of fruit and we left full every morning.
cramped living conditions but we expected that. intermittent wifi and only available in the foyer area poor shower pressure, no soap.
The family room set up was cool, with a small loft and big windows.
The shower room had a massive leak which made the room smell terribly. The breakfast was cold and not fresh.
Great location and helpful staff.
The only good thing that St Simeon can suggest to it's visitors, is that it is situated in a great location, handy to Train, Bus and Resturants and Cafe's.
The Entrance to the Reception Desk. The Staff appeared to be Unproffesional. The lift was very tiny, and when I got to where my room was located, I still had to then negotiate going DOWN a small flight of stairs to get to my room. The location of the dining room was very UNWELLCOMING. Down in the Basement. Crockery and Cutlery of different styles and very old fashioned. Not what I was expecting, for the money I paid, which I had to pay Up-Front before I had even spent a night there, which prevented me from finding alternative accomodation, which I would have done, if I had been shown my room, before I paid. Bathroom was pathetic. Shower Curtain Substandard and Bedroom Drape/Curtain needs to be changed. UNHAPPY CUSTOMER>
This place is basically a (relatively) cheap b&b in a good central London location. It's run by a Serbian family, which means you can expect a warm welcome and a big breakfast.
The building smells old and desperately needs a makeover. No wifi in room.
the situation was convenient for sightseeing. The beds were comfortable.
kitchen was not very clean and traffic was noisy at night.
enjoy the room and the breakfast
bathroom maybe upgrade the restroom w/new curtain and floor
Beautiful fresh fruit at breakfast & very welcoming family hotel
Staff were pleasant, great location close to London center, value for money
location, breakfast, very friendly staff, near underground
rooms itself, very small en old.
Very old rooms, more like a hostle and the walls could not be any thinner. Bad smell in the bedroom wasn't very inviting.
- full breakfast - excellent location
- inattentive staff - uncomfortable pillows - not big on cleanliness
Great hospitality, the staff was so so so friendly, good breakfast,I loved everything!!!
Had horrible smell in hotel
Great location, easy access to tube, and local restaurants, breakfast was very good and fruit always available; nice little balcony; fit the whole family; staff pleasant and accommodating
Rooms worn, Beds were worn and hard/springy, our shower head had the hand cord but you couldn't attach it to the pole so you always had one hand unavailable making washing hair more difficult; staff not always available at desk
Good location, tube and convenience stores not too far away. Room was quiet, appeared clean and was easy to access. Had a fan for cooling. The receptionist was friendly and helpful.
Decor was dated and rather shabby. The frame of the double bed collapsed on the first night; we ended up putting the mattress on the floor to get some sleep -- the frame appeared to be a DIY, and poorly done. They did fix the frame the following day and we had no problems with that later on. Had a room at basement level -- so probably wouldn't be nice during winter (visited in summer).
Comfortable beds, nicely appointed building, good breakfast, friendly staff, safe and friendly neighborhood, pretty close to underground and restaraunts.
Spartan rooms, but effective.
Nice and friendly personnel, all-day opportunity to take advantage of the kitchen, plenty of fruits, close to the underground station
The hotel is in general old-fashioned and a bit filthy, slow wi-fi in the rooms, relatively small canteen
