Service was friendy and excellent location was perfect Value for money was excellent
Room was as expected basic
*Liked the location, close to the tube and bus stops. *Liked the reception staff - friendly and helpful. *Liked the room that we had booked for 5 people. There was actually room for 6 and it was not too crowded. It was on two floors and had a balcony to the street. *Liked that there was the opportunity to use wi-fi, although, only in the lobby.
*The stair in the room that led to the 2nd floor beds were very slippery, there was no warning. There should be a sign to say not to wear socks and some rubber-grip edges should be placed on the stairs. *Breakfast was unhealthy and unpleasant.
The staff were helpful at check-in. There was a full breakfast. The location is very pleasant and quite easy to get to.
We had a basement room (which is rather common in London) but it does not provide much of an ambiance. There was no soap or shampoo provided so we ended up not taking showers. I am used to London hotels so I know not to expect much.

Good all around
st. simeon is in a good location, very close to many of the attractions by walk and close to two main tube stations, which enables you to move around in the city quickly. the staff was very friendly and helpful. the breakfast was more than enough and it was really delicious.
the wifi wasn't working apart from the entrance floor and the kitchen downstairs. we had a room with the street view but it was really small and we couldn't open our luggages on the floor. there was barely space for us just standing. there wasn't any soap, shampoo or hair dryer in the room.
Location Bathroom in room Tv
Bed was in terrible condition, could hear and feel springs Walls were dirty in room Wifi only works in lobby, sometimes Breakfast service
I liked the price but will never in future be duped into thinking this was a bargain. It wasn't
The whole place needs looking at and renovating. When I checked out at 6 am there was a gang on homeless who had walked in and used the customer toilets to wash in. No security. Nice that the homeless get a place to wash. Not nice if you are paying to stay there!!
The staff very helpful excellent breakfast and good value for money in such area of london
there was no wifi connection available on the 3rd floor. The breakfast was appalling, served on a plastic plate, cold sausage, egg was not cooked, a small portion of poor quality bacon, stale bread.
pleasant staff/fast check in very good location to many attractions close to lovely and affordable restaurants/pubs close to all transport clean bedding/reasonably comfortable beds rooms made up everyday/fresh towels
our loft bedroom was far too small for five adults breakfast room very cramped every morning/but breakfast ok room a little musty shower floor needed a good scrub
The location is unbelievably convenient and pretty. Can't beat it in London. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Breakfast is beyond expectations. Room is OK for the price.
very thin walls (noises). cold at night.
great location, good breakfast full english every morn plenty of fruit etc.
Room was tiny for 3 adults we were put in room 2 in the basement beside the kitchen no where to put our clothes bathroom was tiny again no storage space at all. There was a terrible draught coming in the window the curtians were blowing even with the window closed the room was constantly freezing we had to ask for a heater which we had to leave on all night
Friendly staff who are eager to please. Quick to respond to and fix lamp that wasn't working
Not a very safe hotel in case of fire or emergency situation. We were on the upper floor and found that the hall way light has an auto-off after 3min. And when you go up to your room you are in pitch-darkness and have to fumble to find the hallway light switch before you get some light to put your key into the key hole. Cleanliness is an issue. Rooms w/ bare minimum; very tight and small. Table lamp not working, pillow damp. When we were in the room, the lights suddenly went out and we're left in total darkness - pretty scary, esp. in a non-familar place. Very poor quality of a room for what they are charging. Breakfast poorly executed. Sunny side eggs very oily, at least 2-3 tablespoon of oil, comes in a plate w/ baked beans. Bacon extremely salty, not edible and sausage starchy, poor quality.
Friendly staff. Warm and comfortable. Hot shower. Unbeatable location for museums. A pretty quiet street for London.
No negative features.
The entire experience was diabolical. Bedclothes and furniture which must have been bought at jumble sales, dirty shabby facilities and breakfast that can only be described as a joke. The worst hotel you could imagine!!!
Excellent breakfast Friendly helpful staff
Room was basic but perfectly adequate
humorous staff close to tube station
Curtains not big enough to avoid light coming in Very small room/bathroom To have a duvet on the bed would have felt more hygienous
The staff is very very nice Great welcome Simple and pleasant Big familial room
the rooms are not all young and needs a lick of paint little noisy
The room is typical of this sort of hotel but it was clean. Breakfast was amazing with cereal, full cooked breakfast, plates of fruit, cakes and everything associated. It was quite amazing and the price was excellent.
Where do i start!! Staff serving breakfast, no hair nets or uniform...own clothes, hence why 3 of us found "hairs" in our breakfast...shoddy breakfast. Only way to make room feel comfy was to be out of it most of the 1 night we stayed! ! Never again would lower standards to this! This is in desperate need of a inspection!!
Sympathetic host, John and his family, all other staff. Location, authentic home, feeling of tradition.
Small and unclean room, heating system very poor, air passing through the (closed) window...
Its a long time since we stayed in a hotel of this kind. Friendly family run hotel. Breakfast was ok & edible but obviously done on a budget. Room was clean with very comfy beds. It was a quiet hotel with no sleep disturbance. We were satisfied for what we paid for our stay.
We did feel that a refurb of the dining area was needed.Nothing matched and the crockery was a mishmatch from a car boot. We had no sink plug & had to use toilet roll as a plug. A triple central light had only 1 lightbulb working.
- the candour with which the manager/owner tries to talk you into believeing you are staying in a hotel - the hotels next door at just 10GBP more that St. Simeon
Well, even if I was offered a room for free, the central location close to Earls Court is not worth it. Just a few things: - This is not a hotel, but a "private hotel"!! - Sheets are not always changed between guests. The sheets on my bed had sperm stains on them and seemed to have been in use by more than one guest - Dirty laundry carried/dragged through kitchen in the basement - Eat your breakfast in the basement sitting on the lap of other guests. Very crowded. Breakfast not attractive. - Food and cutlery which fell onto the (dirty) floor was put back on the table by personnel for guests - Walls made of paper. Be prepared for close up communal snoring, arguing, acoustic sex etc - Yes, lots of fruit on offer, but the standard is questionable, best before? - At regular intervals the entire hotel is impregnated with the stench of offal being prepared in the downstairs kitchen - Wifi ONLY on the mezzanine "altar chairs" - No night porter, BUT main entrance remains open through the night. Not safe. - and so on.
