Beautiful fresh fruit at breakfast & very welcoming family hotel
Staff were pleasant, great location close to London center, value for money
location, breakfast, very friendly staff, near underground
rooms itself, very small en old.
Very old rooms, more like a hostle and the walls could not be any thinner. Bad smell in the bedroom wasn't very inviting.
- full breakfast - excellent location
- inattentive staff - uncomfortable pillows - not big on cleanliness
Had horrible smell in hotel
Great location, easy access to tube, and local restaurants, breakfast was very good and fruit always available; nice little balcony; fit the whole family; staff pleasant and accommodating
Rooms worn, Beds were worn and hard/springy, our shower head had the hand cord but you couldn't attach it to the pole so you always had one hand unavailable making washing hair more difficult; staff not always available at desk
Good location, tube and convenience stores not too far away. Room was quiet, appeared clean and was easy to access. Had a fan for cooling. The receptionist was friendly and helpful.
Decor was dated and rather shabby. The frame of the double bed collapsed on the first night; we ended up putting the mattress on the floor to get some sleep -- the frame appeared to be a DIY, and poorly done. They did fix the frame the following day and we had no problems with that later on. Had a room at basement level -- so probably wouldn't be nice during winter (visited in summer).
Comfortable beds, nicely appointed building, good breakfast, friendly staff, safe and friendly neighborhood, pretty close to underground and restaraunts.
Spartan rooms, but effective.
Nice and friendly personnel, all-day opportunity to take advantage of the kitchen, plenty of fruits, close to the underground station
The hotel is in general old-fashioned and a bit filthy, slow wi-fi in the rooms, relatively small canteen
Location is perfect but that doesnt mean that I recommend you to stay here.
The room wasnt clean and it wasnt really like a triple room. We couldnt even open our suitcases at the same time. Although I booked this room 3months prior to our arrival and requested a large room upstairs, they didnt look like they cared and gave us the smsllest triple room downstairs...
Margarine for breakfast :(
The internal condition was in poor condition and the rooms (I had a single and a double) were very cramped, no wifi in the rooms or tea and coffee. I was pushed for time and location so was limited on what was available, but I would definitely pay a little more and go for a better proper hotel and not a b & b.
St Simeon was situated at the right spot .You have access for everything from transport, tube . etc. For the fact that my family sleep together makes it excellent. My children was very comfortable and it was a great value. Thanks for the management and staff. We will come back again.
There is no sign to locate the building as it look us long time to locate it. would be good idea to place sign post for the new comers.
Very kind and helpful personnel. Really family atmosphere.
Size of the room
The staff was awesome and the breakfast was amazing.
It was very loud. The street noise made it hard to sleep, and our balcony was easily accessed from other apartments so we couldn't feel secure leaving the balcony windows open which made it stuffy inside the rooms at night. There was no airflow with the windows closed, but the balcony stretched the length of several buildings and you could literally walk down the entire block going from balcony to balcony with just about a 2 foot railing to separate them. I have stayed at other places in London and know that one must be willing to deal with some noise, and that buildings are old, so expecting perfect quiet would be ridiculous, but there was constant traffic going by our room all night. I would find a more residential setting next time.
The basement room very close the street,if open the window would be concern the security.
No aircon/fans in room. Poor ventilation in bathroom. No shower.
The warm welcome and friendliness were priceless, accompanied by the curiously comforting feeling of being in a family home rather than in a hotel/business.
The heat (general poor natural ventilation of the building), and absence of any air conditioning or fan system was very hard to sleep through, considering how hot London was in these days.
Friendly staff, great location
Poor security, anyone can walk in off the sreet and room locks are very easy to get into.
Shower and room facilities poor. Curtains too short and did not block out light, shower pressure poor, room clean but very cramped.
location is superb very friendly staff good breakfast
a small room, old furniture. like you can expect for this price.
The rooms are basic However you will be hard pressed to find cheaper overnight accommodation in such a good location
Even though the hotel is cheap for London £175 for a tiny triple room seemed a lot
