Location on a quiet road nearby tube station and museums is perfect. Very friendly staff. A kitchen is open all day and guests can use it. Very abundant breakfast for a budget hotel and lot ot fruits you can take for free during a day.
Nothing essential! But if to try find something then Wifi can be improved. It is only in reception and dining room. There isn't a hairdrier in the room but you can always get it from reception.
We enjoyed our stay, and we were treated like a family member @ St. Simeon hotel. Breakfast was excellent, and served by the courteous staffs.
Nothing to tell.
Staff, reception are really nice people...
The old boss, his a little sadden und complain arrogant.. Maybe time to retire?
through downtown very good price and service
If you don't mind having small space at the room and not 100% clean space this is the place for you. If you stay out all day enjoying the city and only want a place to sleep this is better than a hostel and more safe cause you don't share your room. The staff is nice and helpful. The breakfast is ok.
The staff were quite friendly, the price of the accommodation wasn't too expensive considering location
The size and quality of the bedroom was quite poor, the cooked breakfast wasn't the best (the hot drinks were cold) and the WiFi didn't work most of the time
included breakfast close to the underground small stores nearby very friendly staff
crackling floor old windows and the noise from he street very small room, needs renovating sink partly hidden in the wall so using it was difficult courtins in the shower were clinging to the body.
Got a very spacious room
Excellent value for money and the friendliest staff you could ever want - it's family run and Alix is a wonderful host! It's the ultimate small hotel with a big heart!
wifi not available throughout no amenities in room
The location. The area is pretty nice and it's close to public transportation.
The rooms are pretty small, but it's not so surprising in this kind of buildings.
As a central London Hotel the location is very good, close to Gloucester Road tube with some good restaurants around it. As a tourist hotel it is a good choice. The hotel is clean but the rooms are in need of TLC
Very poor WiFi no existent in the rooms. Lack of continental quilts made it difficult to get comfortable in bed, breakfast was plentiful but very poorly presented. We had 2 rooms the shower in both was badly fitted
may by the location
havent such a poor room in my live durty old and gone for this price is a scandel
good and courteous reception
Size of room Bed linen looked dirty No coffee/tea facility in room Paper thin walls Window did not close properly
The location, staff and friendliness were excellent. The offer of free coffee and snacks throughout the day was very good. The owner, always present, was very nice, although a bit wacky. Room service was first class although the bathroom was very basic.
The room was the smallest room I have ever stayed in. The wifi was poor.
Room was cramped. Decor needs updating. Itchy blankets on the bed. Bed springs evident in your back. No shower gel or soap supplied. No tea/coffee facilities. Breakfast cold swimming in oil, beans, egg & mushrooms only for veggie breakfast. Kitchen staff rude & rushed.

politically astute staff location
WiFi only available in about 3 sq. meters near reception; breakfast was day old bread, rooms size of walk-in closets, no soap/shampoo/ amenities, breakfast staff (non native speakers) not flexible; electronic entry not always working
Service was friendy and excellent location was perfect Value for money was excellent
Room was as expected basic
*Liked the location, close to the tube and bus stops. *Liked the reception staff - friendly and helpful. *Liked the room that we had booked for 5 people. There was actually room for 6 and it was not too crowded. It was on two floors and had a balcony to the street. *Liked that there was the opportunity to use wi-fi, although, only in the lobby.
*The stair in the room that led to the 2nd floor beds were very slippery, there was no warning. There should be a sign to say not to wear socks and some rubber-grip edges should be placed on the stairs. *Breakfast was unhealthy and unpleasant.
The staff were helpful at check-in. There was a full breakfast. The location is very pleasant and quite easy to get to.
We had a basement room (which is rather common in London) but it does not provide much of an ambiance. There was no soap or shampoo provided so we ended up not taking showers. I am used to London hotels so I know not to expect much.
