Absolutely lovely staff who gave me all the information I needed. Room and bathroom were large enough and there was even a spacious wardrobe. Bathroom was clean with shampoo and body wash provided. TV was well placed and the slate details were a lovely touch. Tea and coffee/biscuits in room. A lot to like for a 2 star.

the location next to the river, a pot of tea early in the morning on a rock was very nice, a big Herron landed right in front of me and my son, it stood and looked at us for a minute, then flew away. it was very nice and
peaceful experience.

The pier is beautiful -and it always seems to be sunny with blue skies . The walk up by the side of the pier to the management centre is lovely . Just over menai bridge to the left is church island to walk round -along the Menai straits -with beautiful sunset views .menai is to the right -again lovely walks under the bridge . Everywhere is close to drive to - Beaumaris - with its pier and castle is not far away . Penrhyn castle is a lovely day out -as are cadnant gardens and plas newydd -you can definitely fill a week easily . Conwy and caernarvan are at each side -lovely days out-castles and steam trains . I could fill a fortnight - longer even ! A great place to visit .

Being from the USA, Bangor, and Wales in general are SO beautiful and the people are so nice and kind. We love being able to travel here. Being that were visiting in December, a number of the typical tourist spots were closed for the season. However, we made the most of it. This included a trip to Wrexham, Mold, Caenafron, and other locations. If you are an American travelling there and you're renting a car, it would be a good idea to have someone in your party who can drive stick. We rented a car from Enterprise in Holyhead and even though we were promised an automatic transmission car (Bangor and North Wales are quite hilly) we wound up with a manual transmission. They they would replace it, but could not. Luckily I knew how to drive stick. Also, a number of roads are narrow so take your time.

Loads of buses leaving from Bangor and a train connecting you to Holyhead, Chester and Cardiff. The sherpa line is great to get to Snowdon.

Bangor...what can i say it has all the usual shops and supermarkets and a few gems of independant shops. We walked along the pier where you can see the Menai Bridge and watch the birds. We went to visit the university which is impressive.

I really liked Bangor.
I really liked Bangor. We took a train straight to the city and took a short walk to our hotel. The city is certainly walkable if you don’t mind hills, but the streets can be steep. There are decent bus and train connections to neighbouring towns, both towards Snowdonia park and across Anglesey. Bangor also has a decent selection of shops and food places, so makes for a great base to come back to after exploring around. It’s a standard student town really, just with some pretty good views.

Visited mostly for shopping at all the major stores.
Visited mostly for shopping at all the major stores. Bangor pier was typical unspoilt Victorian pier without amusement arcades and the rest typical of many resorts. Penrhyn Castle had something for all visitors the National Trust houses and gardens and the railway museum was unique,
Husband and I needed some time off to unwind and just relax and be with nature. Then I found this online which has everything we wanted. It is strategically located and Juliet is a perfect host. Very quick to reply even when I asked her where I can find some laver bread for our friend who requested this Wales’ delicacy. We had the best sleep and to wake up to wonderful views each morning was a bonus. Highly recommended and I have already informed friends of our next trip and where we will be staying. Thank you Juliet and Orme View lodge
Haulfryn is in the elevated part of Bethesda, meaning it's a bit away from the main road and has absolutely stunning views of the mountains of Eryri. Off road parking is a great bonus at Haulfryn as there's lots of on-street parking in the area, I can't believe how quiet the house was, it's great for folk wanting some peace and quiet after a day exploring north Wales. A well equipped kitchen for cooking, and Deliveroo available when you don't want to cook. Would definitely stay again when I'm next in the area.
This was the first time I've stayed in a b&b. I thought it would be weird, but it was like a mini-hotel except I had several nice conversations with the owner before he served breakfast. He even had literature on things to do and see unlike other places I've stayed recently. The location is a little out of the way, but it was close to a bus stop and there was a paved walking trail to the nearest town (Bethesda). I attached pics I took on the trail.
We have been coming to Bangor for 5 years now and this is def the best property for us so far. From making the booking to us leaving the property, Adam was so very helpful. Even checking on our arrival times. Both Adam and Joanne made sure our stay was perfect in all ways. The location of the property fantastic for us too. The breakfasts were super, piping hot and plentiful daily. We will def be back.
Perfect place to stay in Wales for long weekend, fabulous quiet enviroment, exellent privacy, yet our host Iyan gave us enough tips to discover the best of historical highlights around.
The place is not an ordinary hotel, you will love it! Glyder Fach simply surpass our expectation! We will be back!
PS: The famous self made Welsh thea-cake v been given as welkom present...hmmm delisious!!!
Smallish but comfortable room, with a great view over the lawns and Straits! Serviceable bathroom, plenty of hot water etc, comfortable bed. Excellent breakfast (buffet-style). Friendly and helpful staff. Easy check-in. Bangor is close enough to the North Wales attractions for this accommodation to be considered when visiting Yr Wyddfa/Snowdon, the coast, etc.
Great little find. Great size room (we had the family room). We had a couple of minor issues but these were all dealt with very quickly and effectively. Staff were all really friendly and the atmosphere of the hotel was great. We stayed here as we were walking up Snowdon (was about a 20 mins drive for us to get to the starting point).
Really enjoyed our stay at Pant Teg. We travelled to Wales to climb Snowdon - It was a 15-20 minute drive to Llanberis from Pant Teg.
Our host, Brian, was really friendly and breakfast was lovely. We had a drink in the local pub and all the locals were friendly and welcoming.
Hotel is out dated but tried hard to overcome this with extreme cleanliness and fresh decor. Bed was comfortable . Breakfast was freshly cooked with great choice. Ideal location for university. Adequate parking and overall excellent value for money
Very clean apartment, great location for exploring everything North Wales has to offer. Safe parking out front was very convenient especially for families with young kids.
Rooms lovey and clean staff lovely view butifull over prized if breakfast was included it would have been spot on as am from Bangor had to attend my mother funeral
It was modern and very clean
My whole family liked everything about it especially the view
This apartment made my family’s first visit to Bangor, very special
A lovely quirky cottage, well located for access to Bangor, Snowdonia and the Llyn Peninsula. Really comfortable rooms and all the facilities that we needed.
