Cant think of anything
My experience with my many stays at the Savoy has been excellent. the facilities are great, but what makes it perfect is the staff. Helpful, accomodating and just plain nice people.
The staff were fabulous, helpful and great to talk to. Afternoon tea was a real treat.
The building, the fabulous location, the quality of the rooms, the peacefulness and the friendliness of the staff
Service not as good as in previous visits.
Everything. The relaxed pace of staff. It was very gracious. The decor. The attention to detail. The weight of everything
The swimming pool was a bit municipal not in keeping with the whole Art Deco look of the hotel
just about everything with emphasis on the decor, architecture, and wonderful furnishings and service staff.
Our room, 409, had no dresser, is very small, and not much of an outlook. The staff helped out by bringing in a portable close rack and 2 luggage caddies. Thanks for this. Denny McLeod
The savoy hotel it known for service and quality and thats what you get !
We stayed at the hotel for our honeymoon. Staff could not do enough for us and were so professional and polite. The hotel itself is magnificent. We had a meal in the savoy grill and also had afternoon tea in the Thames foyer, both of which were fabulous. All food and drink served in the hotel is incredible. It definitely was a special experience however it is an expensive place to stay but you do get what you pay for as they say. Would definitely recommend it for a special occasion if you are after some pampering.
Staff was sensational. Lobby is elegant. Afternoon tea was fabulous. Room was very good. Excellent inroom bathroom.
Only negative was an intruder who tried to break into a back entrance late at night and caused an hour long disturbance which we could hear clearly in our room on the 5th floor. London police were slow to arrive at the scene. Overall the Savoy cannot be blamed for the disturbance.
The bed, and location of the hotel right in the middle of the strand. Friendly!
We waited a good 2 hours for our room to be ready, when we got in to our room, we had hair all in the shower! I complained and they were going to send someone immediately, this didn't happen until 45mins later, couldn't have a shower to go out. The room key we were given didn't work. For a hotel of this standard I think it's disgusting. They said they would get back to me but no one has. I won't be staying here again!!!
Service charge on everything,
What is there not to like?
Beds are superb. All the facilities are there and work. Staff are well drilled. Great central position
beautiful décor and great food
Very personal and excellent service
Food not so good at the Savoy Grill.
Great location, Friendly staff.
Attentiveness of staff. Staff very helpful at all levels. Access to theatres and Covent Garden.
Having to stand in a bath to shower, never happy climbing in and out of showers.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and luxurious although not a great view over the courtyard. However we assumed this would be fine as there would be no street noise. Food was excellent particularly the afternoon tea in the Thames Foyer and dinner in the Savoy Grill.
Unfortunately we were kept awake by a neighbouring room who left their television on ALL night. This meant that we were exhausted the next day and rather put a blight on the stay which was just for the one night to celebrate a special birthday. It just goes to show that even in the most exclusive of hotels there are some inconsiderate idiots. The hotel were apologetic but there was little they could do about it in the morning. The moral of the tale is don't be British and put up with it make a complaint and let the hotel deal with it. They are obliged to make sure your stay is a comfortable one.
Our rooms were luxuriously appointed and spacious; we couldn't think of anything else you could want in an hotel room. The hotel decor and staff were superb.
Small things like wifi were not included in the price; nor was breakfast. Although we were prepared for breakfast to be extra, we thought its price was exorbitant.
The whole 'Savoy experience'
The fact that out champagne was only available in some of the bars and not all of the restaurants
Staff is very responsive and it's appreciative. Food is excellent too.
