The doormen were excellent
Everything - the smallest requests -- were an ordeal. We finally gave up on most things (room service ice tea or hot latte) and became self-sufficient. When staying in The Savoy we shouldn't need to get our latte from Starbucks. Bags were misplaced, deliveries delayed. We wouldn't return.
Virtually everything about the hotel, Staff were generally impeccable and food superb. American Bar has always been special. Great beds. Superb doormen.
Prolonged check-in procedure involving a lot of computer time and too little 'face time' with guests.
Atmosphere. Food. Opulence. Location.
The false alarm at 3 o'clock in the morning.
Staff were polite and very helpful, Food in Kaspers was amazing Hotel, Room unbelievably clean
Room slightly on the small side for the price but its the Savoy after all this is my only minor fault
Everything, especially the staff - Their friendliness and professional efficiency was faultless, they made our 30th anniversary weekend unforgettable.
There is nothing not to like about this fabulous hotel.
Wifi was really slow couldn't log on yo anything
just about everything
Staff were so nice. Very comfortable room.
Poor wifi speed, which we had to pay extra £10 per night..
Absolutely great hotel with absolutely perfect staff. Helpful and welcoming. Fantastic in-room dining. Delicious breakfasts.
I haven't carefully read information and my dress-code didn't match the dress-code of the restaurants, so we had to have the breakfast in the room - but two important things here: 1. Absolutely unbelievable in-room dining was discovered, 2. Really didn't check if the code suits or not
Staff Comfort Facilities Food and Drink
The discrete service
Radio remote and clock batteries needed replacing
Staff great opulance at its best
No tea or coffe in room early morning !,
Cost of drinks
I was greeted with a very nice receptionist, checked in quickly and escorted to the room with no problems. Bathroom was excellent and so was American bar
As my dressing up appearance did not suit establishment porters did not even gave me a second look. It was my taxi driver that opened the door and took out my baggage ...Regardless of the fairly recent refurbishment it all looked a bit outdated and brown. While bathroom was great bedroom was mediocre. Seen much better.
You get what you pay for at the Savoy and that is excellence
Staff were excellent
Having to pay for wi fi
Staff, setting, ambiance
Couldn't book high tea, couldn't get into the cocktail bar as non-residents filled the place up. Paid for wi-fi??? Why?
First time we have stayed at the savoy and it was first class as you would expect we have stayed at many top hotels around the wold and the savoy is in the top three Thank you all
It was a beautiful comfortable room.
No tea or coffee making facilities in the room
Attentive staff who went out of their way to make us welcome.
Large double room for 2 people but with only 1 easy chair expected more in a 5 star luxury hotel Payment of around £10 for wifi for 24 hours. Should be no charge in a hotel with these room rates
Tea time, the decor, advice from concierge
Extremely slow check-in (supposedly VIP style). Hotel is full of external visitors and staying guests are not given special treatement or priviledged access .
The staff were incredible - warm, friendly, polite and always smiling. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The hotel itself is beautiful and its splendour and history adds to the feeling of luxury. You can't help but feel special staying there. We will never forget our weekend at The Savoy!
Luxury and comfort at every turn. Extra bar with live entertainment.
Dover sole served on Saturday evening meal.
the room reservation staff restaurant staff
abrupt restaurant check in lady breakfast (just warm, toast cold) slow service in bar
The staff were incredibly polite and helpful during our stay. The hotel was impeccably well maintained and cleaned and the hotel is in the perfect location for a quick walk to Covent Garden, Trafalgar Square and walks along the Thames.
Unfortunately, on our first night other guests on our floor were incredibly noisy at 4.30am in the corridor. This is the only adverse comment we can make, which is not a reflection of the hotel but some of the guests.
