Just the whole atmosphere and the prestige of being in the savoy
Would of been nice to have had a Thames view ut it was far too expensive for us as a family

Staff are fantastic as is everything else about the hotel. Impossible to fault.
We arrived a few hours before our check in time, but were still given our room .
nothing, it was what I expected from a 5 * hotel
Staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough for us.
On checking in I was told that £100 per day card authorisation is debited from card. This wasn't mentioned anywhere at anytime when I was making booking. It would have prevented embarrassment if this could have been mentioned before I arrived at check in with insufficient balance on my card.

I know the Savoy wants to look after your every need but I do like to make a cup of tea in the morning so no facility in the room is the only minus.
the afternoon tea was amazing.
The service and attitude of the hotel staff was the best of any hotel that we can remember.
The bathroom could have been designed a little better. e.g. the shower screen couldn't open because of the position of the handbasin. But so what ! Lack of tea/coffee facilities in room.
Bed very comfortable. Grill room still great .
Doorman took twenty minutes to retrieve a case whilst the taxi meter was ticking.

The amazing art deco refurbishments and attention to detail. In our room was a home-made cakelet with happy birthday on a Kaspar the cat soft toy. I had mentioned on booking that it was my little girl's birthday and that she loved Kaspar.

No kettle on room
The food, cocktails were superb, though to get into caspers I felt I was being screened by security. The American bar was more relaxed. Staff every where were amazingly helpful.
