I liked that alternative to dairy was offered.
Breakfast was ok but I believe fresh fruit should also be offered.
Vegan breakfast could also include Tofu.

We had a ground floor room in an annexe at the rear of the pub. Good size clean room but bed too hard for our taste so not a good nights sleep for us. Breakfast at 9am was a bit restrictive for us. But overall a reasonable good stay.

The Kings Head is a lovely traditional pub but it is just that - a pub. The bar is comfortable, traditional with a really nice atmosphere and the beer can't fail with two excellent breweries in the town! The room we had was big, high ceiling and had two tall sash windows looking out over the market square - and the windows open, which is always a bonus! The bathroom was fine - clean and with plenty hot water. The staff was friendly and obliging and they all worked their little socks off!

What a wonderful place to stay. Room was large and bed comfy , staff cant do enough for you spa is free to use and no need to book, pool was great also able to get a drink brought to you whilst in the spa a really nice touch. Food in the Hotel was beautiful and reasonable for a 5 star hotel , breakfast expensive at £35 per person not worth it. Food in the on site bar/restaurant was also very good and not expensive given the location. Grounds fantastic we walked over 6 miles through them all it was amazing

A nice village for essentials but no family type pubs for eating. most pubs etc closed for food at 7-00pm which is no good after a day out further afield or after swimming at tea time. the leisure centre was lovely, clean and reasonably priced.

The landlady was wonderful, a very genuine hard working business owner who always had a smile on her face.
Our room was fine, spotless and comfortable which was all we needed after a day and night on the beer in Bedale!
I had a full English breakfast which was great, help yourself to tea and coffee, yoghurt and cereal were also available.
We'll definitely visit again.
Location was great - 2 minute walk and you are on the Main Street of Bedale. The cottage had all you need for a short stay apart from a shower which would have been preferred but it didn’t spoil our stay. The cottage was so cosy, clean and well stocked. We loved the real fireplace. It was like stepping back in time - loved it thank you
The room was nicely decorated and very clean. We had an evening meal which was generous and the breakfast was excellent. There was a dressing table in the room which was very handy and they had decaf Yorkshire tea on the tray as well as decaf coffee. There was a bath in the ensuite.
we stayed in this property as we were visiting the polar express experience. this hotel was initially picked for location but when we arrived we realised we had came across a wee gem . location was perfect , staff were very friendly and totally went out their way
A very warm welcome from all staff. I ate in - some of the best sausages I've ever had. The room was very clean with some lovely touches - toiletries. Bedale itself was good for a wander about and as a bonus the Church was still open - worth a visit.
Excellent quiet place, with just a short drive or walk to centre of Bedale. Host was friendly and welcoming. Overall a great place to stay in North Yorkshire if you want a quiet holiday with good access to the Dales and North York Moors national parks.
A wonderful warm welcome from Mandy at this lovely property, excellently located next to the A1, but with easy access to the Yorkshire Dales. Fabulous cooked breakfast and superb pub next door, with interesting and extensive menu
This hotel is lovely. Rooms were really nice, very clean and comfortable beds. Very central to where we needed to go. Owners are so friendly and made us feel very welcome. Breakfast was lovely and huge. Will definitely go back.
The breakfast was substantial and good quality. The service was always fast and friendly. The Bedale area and other villages are lovely. The local people are also very friendly.
The quality of the room was outstanding. The care taken with comfort and attention to detail second to none. Magnificent setting even on a bleak North Yorkshire day.
