The town itself is not particularly picturesque, but the surrounding beaches, scenery and landscape are majestic. If you decide to go to Ouranoupoli is a must to rent a boat.
If you decide to go to Ouranoupoli is a must to rent a boat. The cost is 70 eur/day (without permit) and you can go to Ammouliani and Drenia Islans by your self. There you can find restaurants with excellent food. You can stop in any area you want where you can spend some quality time. I recommend the local pies with vanilla / apples / cheese / spinach...

There are some prejudices about this city. Although I visited this city many times with my wife, we did not encounter anything that would disturb us. It is a very calm and peaceful city and its people are also very kind. Also, the food in the restaurants is very tasty, the prices are reasonable.
