The accommodation is really nice, clean and spacious. Thea and her mom were awesome. Our 18 months sun was hungry when we arrived and they gave him a royal treat with homemade meatballs, fresh tomatoes and milk.

Relax like the Old Days, hotel in Kastanéa

A recently renovated vacation home, Relax like the Old Days offers accommodations in Kastanéa. This vacation home offers free private parking, private check-in and check-out, and free Wifi.

This charming little home was a generous size and clipped with all necessities and more. The hosts were absolutely lovely, an old world family of generations, in an authentic Greek neighborhood. It was Very special. An easy 10 minute bus to old town, but in a very quiet, peaceful environment, outside of the noise and frenzy. For me best of both worlds, I even saw a shooting star on my walk home from bus early one evening. And the absolute best restaurant I’ve eaten in Greece is in the neighborhood, ridiculously affordable and massively delicious. Photo of backyard from outdoor dining table. Two thumbs up with gratitude.

kassiani apartment 3, hotel in Kastanéa

Kassiani apartment 3 offers accommodations in Kastanéa, 1.7 miles from Pontikonisi and 2.6 miles from Panagia Vlahernon Church.

Although corfu was a great place with great people but this the best apartment experiences we had there as the owner is so nice, he gave us his direct number where we could call anytime if we face any problems in the city. He also brought water when we arrivd to the flat and showed us where are some places as it was our first time visiting the city. We lost the key almost 1 am in the old town and he brought us another one at that time without any hesitation in such late time. Truthfully it was one of the best experiences I have had in any apartment not only in corfu but around all places I traveled to. I highly recommend it!!!

Corfu Palace Hotel, hotel in Kastanéa

Overlooking Garitsa Bay, the 5-star Corfu Palace offers a thalasotherapy spa center, an outdoor pool and fine dining. All elegant rooms feature Ionian Sea views. WiFi is offered throughout.

Amazing. When I backpacked thru Greece for a month in college from Germany, I stayed in cheap places and looked longingly on opulent hotels with beachfront views. Now, 38 years later, I was able to return to Greece and the Corfu Palace Hotel was a high point of our trip. The location is amazing, w/ panoramic views of the Bay, Corfu Strait, the Albanian mountains, and the Old Fortress. The views are spectacular from the breakfast room, pool, and each room with a private balcony! Plus, the hotel is an easy walk from the Old Fortress and Old City and countless restaurants and shops. The breakfasts were delicious, with a combo of Greek and western dishes. The waitstaff were friendly and attentive, and Thomas in the breakfast room was our favorite! The rooms were spacious and the ambiance amazing!

Pelekas Monastery, hotel in Kastanéa

Set right on the sandy beach of Kontogialos, Pelekas Monastery features a large free-form swimming pool, 2 restaurants and 3 bars.

This is an absolutely beautiful hotel in a gorgeous location BUT there's a lot of "buts". We got a free upgrade to a superior room with balcony and seaview and I'm so glad we did because a lesser room would've not been pleasant enough. Room: The room is huge and so is the balcony with the amazing view of the beach and sunset. Which compensated for the state of the room that needs an update. Fairly clean. Big bed but mattress isn't great. Woke up with a stiff back a couple nights, nothing too serious though. 2 big comfy couch chairs in the room w/coffee table. Coffee machine and pods. 2 chairs and a table in the balcony (no sunbeds or umbrella though) All inclusive: The food is good. I ate lots of lamb chops, duck, gyros, beef steaks, strogonoff, salmon, salads, sides and tzaziki for dinner for example. All the basics and more for breakfast too. We didn't have lunch by our own choice so can't speak to that. Loved getting as much ice cream as I wanted. I liked the Ice blue non alcoholic mocktail and drank lots of coke. My partner had lots of beer but it wasn't great, just fine. Facilities: Elevator/funicular is a huge plus and really cool. Plenty of sunbeds at the beach that are not too close to each other. The overall structure of the hotel I loved. Open and full of plants and flowers. Toilets in the shared facilites are nice and clean Beach: Beautiful! It's worth coming her mostly for the (kind of) private beach. Sandy and blue clear water. Service: Staff is very friendly and eager to help, but they're a bit unorganized.

I didn’t realise how commercial the area was.

I didn’t realise how commercial the area was. It had a strip down to the sea front lines with British pubs and restaurants serving British food. At night it was loud and the streets were filled with ignorant people trying to start fights and screaming abuse at eachother. Would not recommend staying in this area if your looking for an authentic Greek holiday as it felt a lot like Benidorm rather than any of the other islands I’ve been to. If possible try sty in the more westerly villages they felt more authentic like afiones, great views and better people. However this area is budget friendly so if you use it as a base like we did and explore the northern/western parts of the island from here it will be good value. We took off eachother meowing in our rental car and drove to all the sight along the coast gorgeous views from the canal d’amour downwards

It was a one night stop over booked at very short notice due to flight cancellation. The hostess Dora was waiting for us on arrival, she was very welcoming and even bought us breakfest the next morning.
