Gythio is a very pleasant little town with a range of eating places and shops, set on a bay with a small port The Castello Antico is set 5km round the coastline - which means there are no hassles for car parking, Access to the Mani Peninsula and other interesting places in Southern Peleponnese by car is easy - but public transport limited. About 3.5 hours drive to Athens airport.

Magical romantic place to visit every time in your trip near by. Excellent food, history, art! Always a pleasure to stay in Gythio. The upper small streets abd the authentic houses are a landscape to share. Interesting town I expected it to be more picturesque but a good chunk, maybe a third of the town's buildings, are abandoned and derelict which really brings the whole place down. The Olive Yard was perfect!
The Olive Yard was perfect! It was beautifully decorated and very clean. The breakfast basket was the best we had in Greece! The hotel staff washed, dried and neatly folded our laundry. It was very much appreciated, especially when you're on a road trip around Greece and don't often have access to laundry facilities. The staff were so friendly and I enjoyed meeting and chatting with them. Beautiful local beach which is a short walk from The Olive Yard. Perfection...and I will definitely stay there again.

We loved the beaches that are all around Navagio ..Mavrovouni .. Very fresh fish in reasonnable prices . The hotel lakonis 1972 is getting renovated so the view will be much better than a old building skelete. We will be back soon .Margeli

It's round the corner from the main seafront strip but still easily walkable, quieter, and closer to the headland/lighthouse. Comfortable room and nice bathroom. Very nice breakfast beside the sea and not the usual buffet. Staff were all very helpful and pleasant. Availability of (limited) parking right beside the hotel was a big plus. Bar and fancy bistro on the ground floor if you want that sort of thing.

We cannot describe it better! Also the appartement was so good that not even 5 star hotels could beat it. Every single detail was given the proper attention! Last but not least, the beach is amazing with the cleanest waters we have seen for years, and we are very picky! So, really excellent choice, we will definitely visit you again Mrs Stella!!

Room was super nice and we had ocean and pool view from our balcony. All staff was very friendly, especially Dimitria. The (surprisingly) free breakfast was nice too, sometimes it was strange that guests got different dishes and sometimes we were asked what we want and sometimes we were not ;-) but all in all it was a great stay and we highly recommend Dimani Suites.

All equipment is useful in the kitchen. The location is not far from the centre ville of Gythio. Many restaurants and bars near the port.
