Interesting town I expected it to be more picturesque but a good chunk, maybe a third of the town's buildings, are abandoned and derelict which really brings the whole place down. The Olive Yard was perfect!
The Olive Yard was perfect! It was beautifully decorated and very clean. The breakfast basket was the best we had in Greece! The hotel staff washed, dried and neatly folded our laundry. It was very much appreciated, especially when you're on a road trip around Greece and don't often have access to laundry facilities. The staff were so friendly and I enjoyed meeting and chatting with them. Beautiful local beach which is a short walk from The Olive Yard. Perfection...and I will definitely stay there again.

We loved the beaches that are all around Navagio ..Mavrovouni .. Very fresh fish in reasonnable prices . The hotel lakonis 1972 is getting renovated so the view will be much better than a old building skelete. We will be back soon .Margeli - 8.0Scored 8.0
Gythio is a working small port with a pleasant promenade...
Gythio is a working small port with a pleasant promenade lined by good restaurants. It seems to have remained unchanged. As it was the last night of a longer driving trip, we didn’t have the time to see other interesting sites, such as the museum and shipwreck, of the town. Staff was excellent friendly, available ready to help. Breakfast was very good and you had a lot of different choice real 5* services. Restaurant if you spend a week it would be good to have some more choice. Thanks to the entire staff which made our stay exceptional
