Very pretty place at the foot of the mountain - the views are great but it is very hilly and you will need to factor that in for getting to the beach etc but it is beautiful and the people are very friendly in Kefalonia. Whilst it is not on the beach it is only a few minutes drive away. The village has a very good selection of bars and restaurants that are all within easy walking distance. Supermarkets are also very close buy, there are 3 on the main 'strip' that will see you through the week happily. Very hilly so not for the unfit! Lots of lovely restaurants and a few classy bars, most with beautiful views of the coastline and sunset. Recommend Butterworld - great service and delicious breakfast options and ice cream. 3 good supermarkets with all the essentials. A 25 min walk down to Lourdas beach which has loads of shades, sunbeds, showers and bars with a shallow sea and smooth sand - perfect for kids. Great area of Kefalonia with excellent restaurants / taverns and nice beaches close by. Definitely good to have a rental car to explore the small cities nearby or explore the beautiful beaches in the North of the island.Guest review byCanThrillGermany
