Gythio is a very pleasant little town with a range of eating places and shops, set on a bay with a small port The Castello Antico is set 5km round the coastline - which means there are no hassles for car parking, Access to the Mani Peninsula and other interesting places in Southern Peleponnese by car is easy - but public transport limited. About 3.5 hours drive to Athens airport.

The upper small streets abd the authentic houses are a landscape to share. Interesting town I expected it to be more picturesque but a good chunk, maybe a third of the town's buildings, are abandoned and derelict which really brings the whole place down. The Olive Yard was perfect!
The Olive Yard was perfect! It was beautifully decorated and very clean. The breakfast basket was the best we had in Greece! The hotel staff washed, dried and neatly folded our laundry. It was very much appreciated, especially when you're on a road trip around Greece and don't often have access to laundry facilities. The staff were so friendly and I enjoyed meeting and chatting with them. Beautiful local beach which is a short walk from The Olive Yard. Perfection...and I will definitely stay there again.

We loved the beaches that are all around Navagio ..Mavrovouni .. Very fresh fish in reasonnable prices . The hotel lakonis 1972 is getting renovated so the view will be much better than a old building skelete. We will be back soon .Margeli

We had both Sea and Mountain Views from our well-stocked room that came with some coffee to make a Frappe in the morning. Georgina was the best host one could ask for. Incredibly accommodating, one of the nicest people we’ve met in Greece. You’re an about a 10 minute walk to Gythio and about a five minute walk into Mavrouni, the location was great. I would highly recommend anyone coming to the area stays here, you won’t regret it and you’ll have a great time! Make sure you book a room with Sea View!CChristopherUnited States of America

Room was super nice and we had ocean and pool view from our balcony. All staff was very friendly, especially Dimitria. The (surprisingly) free breakfast was nice too, sometimes it was strange that guests got different dishes and sometimes we were asked what we want and sometimes we were not ;-) but all in all it was a great stay and we highly recommend Dimani Suites.
