Great location close to the port, Costas was really friendly and helpful and came to give me the keys when I rang him only 5 min after I got there, room is quite basic but it was clean and comfortable enough for the price as a solo traveller.

Bkfst was buffet style with variety of choices. The yogurt was delicious much better than what we have in USA!
The hotel was a short distance ferry port and town, 7euros for taxi, but very easy walk to/from town. Path to beach across from hotel, ruins to explore on way to town. Very beautiful and relaxing stay.
The staff at the hotel were great. Elipida (Hope) was very accommodating to all our requests; we arrived before check and they provided storage for our luggage, while we explored the area. When we checked out they stored our luggage again until we were ready to leave late that day and arranged a taxi to take us to the ferry port.
If you have a day (or two) to spare in Athens, we highly recommend an overnight trip to this island and hotel.
Urlika Hotel is just 165 ft from the beach, close to the port and the center of Aegina. It offers spacious rooms with king beds and private balconies, many with sea views.

Aegina Town is a vibrant place full of cafes, restaurants, clothing and tourist shops. There are fruit sellers beside the marina selling the most delicious fresh fruit. It’s easy to visit the rest of the island using the local buses which cost only 2 Euros. A day trip to Ag Marina is highly recommended if you like swimming and sunbathing. The last group of beach umbrellas are free to use. You can buy drinks and food from the restaurant behind. They do beach service. Perdika is a nice day trip, especially if you go to Moni Island as well.
The Temple of Aphaia and Palachora are easily accessed by the local bus service. I enjoyed eating at Dromaki, where I had melt in your mouth, slow cooked lamb.

Aegina is a very pretty town with ferries coming and going all day, every day. Its only 40 mins from Piraeus, but a world away from the city. I visited in off season - November - but the weather was lovely at 23*C. There are plenty of places to eat along the waterfront, and it is an easy place to explore by walking, bus or taxi. You can hire bikes too just opposite the port. I visited the ruins & museum at the end of town; and travelled to other places on the island including the Temple of Aphaia, Agin Marina, and Paliachora. The people are very friendly. I could have easily stayed longer!

I Have grown up in Aegina seen it change and expand but it...
I Have grown up in Aegina seen it change and expand but it still keep a charm about it ,where there used to be little cafes bakeries and all sundries are now well expanded bars. The back street now have a myriad of shops and all you need provision wise, the old fish market survives and is renowned for its fresh fish and restaurants serving the same all the way back to Athens .
It gets now very busy at the weekend as the Atheans flood back from the city .the town prides itself on its impressive ancient history and modern cultural endeavours galleries and festivals . There are not the boys on tour nonsense beer bellies rowdy 'go on down it Dave' ! of other big islands which i have also lived on in Greece. the larger groups are made of the sailing fraternity so you may get a group of 10 Dutch, German or English but they have a different and more respectful etiquette, the bars are very much for Greeks of all ages with the tourist filling the other seats in harmony . it can be noisy as the ferries bring in and take out persons and trade all day ,but it settles again as the ships leave .

A higgledy piggledy jumble of small streets with both traditional and modern shops, cafes, bars and restaurants. Plenty of scope to wander, too small to get lost in. Pistachios for sale everywhere: ultimately I chose to get mine from Mourtzis at P. Irioti 57, and am very happy I did. Eating: for simple, reasonably priced, fresh and delicious Greek food, and excellent, friendly service I would recommend O ΤΣΙΑΣ (Tsias) along the waterfront. Don't miss the Archeological Museum - it's absolutely fascinating.
Wonderful, traditional, tastefully and beautifully furnished hotel set in paradise gardens. Super, well equipped room with a spacious balcony, overlooking the beautifully kept flower filled gardens, the Aegean, pastichio orchards and the Temple of Apollo. Numerous places within the grounds to sit and enjoy the generous breakfast with all the homemade offerings or to simply wander around, admiring nature. A five minute stroll to either the beach or pretty Aegina Town. Thank you for a lovely stay.
Aegina Oasis is exactly oasis. Carefully decorated, comfort bedroom, and equipped with absolutely anything you could need. Garden is beautiful full of flowers and perfect for enjoyment and relaxation. Location is very convenient, short walk from the port and center of Aegina town. Host are very friendly and helpful. P.S as a bonus we had family of newborn kittens I the garden. For full enjoyment and rest in Aegina, this is perfect place to stay and feel like home.
Very comfortable, family-run hotel. Wonderful location in a quiet part of Aegina town, but still very close to restaurants and shops, and a short walk to the port and the bus station. We had a lovely sea-view from our balcony looking towards the Argolid Peninsula. The Colonna archaeological site and museum was a few minutes’ walk away, and a lovely beach on the other side of the archeological site was less than ten minutes’ walk.
First of all, Marios the owner was so kind and friendly, and helped me immediately when I had some maintenance issues. The location was excellent, really easy walk to Aegina Town and port, and there was a great bakery very close. Bed was comfortable, wifi good, excellent value for money. There was a fridge and some cutlery, plates, cups etc which was handy. I would definitely come back.
The house is conveniently located in town near historic ruins, the city center and the ferry! The hostess Reanna cooks home-made pastries every morning along with fresh squeezed juice! Reanna was so kind and welcoming! it is more like a home than a hotel. We enjoyed a view of the ocean from our balcony and all the beauty of Aegina.
Good location, 15 min from the port and downtown. 50 m from the beach.Comfortable room and bed, we had a fantastic sea view from the balcony. Swimming pool. Breakfast was good and very well organized in this covid time. Very professional and helpul stuff at the hotel. Nice atmosphere, we had only 3 nights there but wouldlike to come again.
We liked the fact the hotel was a quiet haven from the hustle and bustle of the very busy town. The hosts were very attentive and couldn’t do enough for you. The breakfast was served to you (covid measures adhered to at all times).
A lovely 10 minute walk downhill to the port and a cheap 3.50 euro taxi back.
Such a spacious and relaxing accommodation! PERFECT, quiet & practical place for a family to stay and included a washer (big plus). The location was nice as well, we could easily walk dowm into town to the port area in less than 10 minutes! Would stay again!
The villa was lovely with a great outdoor area in a really peaceful neighbourhood. It was a bit of a walk into town but we managed walking in and out most days. The welcome was lovely and the owner was very helpful and responsive. A great find!
A wonderful host, very friendly! He also owns a restaurant that was wonderful too, we ate there almost every meal, lol. The room is in a good location, close walk to town, close walk from ferry. Need a gps to find it though, lol.
Fabulous hotel, staff and facilities excellent. Approx 10 minutes walk into Aegina Town. Pool immaculate, very clean, sun loungers so comfortable and plenty of them. Highly recommended, will definately return.
The location is convenient; close to the port and to the town. The room and bathroom were very clean. Hot water available in the shower. The bed is very comfortable, and the staff is very friendly.
Loved the decor and general positive vibe of the apartment. Had everything one could need for a stay on the island, and more. Fabulous location! Host was kind and accommodating.
The hotel was well located, very close to the centre of Aegina town. The pool was lovely and Spiros on reception was very friendly and helpful. It was very well priced.
