The Eucalyptus Hotel is located approximately two and a half miles from the airport and two and a half miles from Fira, the capital of Santorini. To use the public transportation, for most bus routes you have to first travel to Fira and take a bus from the Central Bus Station (except for a couple of routes that take in the southern part of the island and the airport bus). The bus stops in Mesaria are very close to the hotel. There are several restaurants close to the hotel and a supermarket which stays open until midnight is right across the street. The rooms in the hotel are spacious and the beds are comfortable and everything is very clean. I did not participate in breakfast, so I can't comment on that. The manager was very helpful with information on tours and booking what I wanted to do. Santorini is daily inundated with cruise ship visitors who totally overpower the island, especially during the high season--middle May until around the end of September. Mesaria is far enough from Fira and is not the home of any of the "must sees" on Santorini that the day crowds do not typically come to this village. I highly recommend this property and if/when I return to Santorini, I will definitely stay here again.

The staff were so so helpful, we had a really early check out the next morning before breakfast began so they made us up a takeaway breakfast which was so thoughtful.
Hotel is in a good location for the airport and in the centre of a little town with a few restaurants and bars.
Good value for money.

The rooms are gorgeous. But they can keep coffee sachets in the room. Family run hotel. The owner gave us a lot of information when we reached. Really helpful. We had to checkout early after two days for our flight so they gave us packed breakfast for next day which was very sweet. Only thing bread should have been buttered a bit.

Mesaria is a very small 'crossroads' town with the main road being very busy with traffic especially large trucks.
There are some lovely local restaurants which serve good food at reasonable prices and two supermarkets. A good bakery sells miniature ice-creams that are very welcome in the heat and there is a small souvenir shop.

We loved the Galini restaurant and left their business card in the apartment. It is only 5 minutes by car and we went there 4 times, each time great food, huge portions, fast service, soft Greek music and next to a pretty pebble beach. Mostly Greek customers it seems though English menu available. All the seafood dishes are heavenly ! Mixed grill of seafood for two is amazing value. See 2 pictures of Galini.

The town was in a fairly rural area and seemed to be inhabited by locals more than tourists which was exactly what we wanted for our trip. All the shops you could need are within a short walk (although be prepared to walk up and down some steep inclines).
I strongly recommend finding Vothonaki Café/Meze/Bar, very friendly staff with very good English (And very happy to hear you attempting Greek) and can help recommend tours and activities and such. Some of the best food we had all week.

For a first visit to Santorini i feel I should have chosen Fira to be close to everything. The bus to our accomodation drops us about 10 min walk from the house and it is quite a walk.... If you rent a quad that won t be an issue though.

The room is really spacious and has the luxurious feel to it. The bathroom has a lot of space as well to put your towels, clothes and every piece of bathing equipments you usually need to bring. The staff is really helpful and will do extra to make their guests happy. The close proximity to the airport and the free shuttle service will make this a perfect accommodation if you're looking for a place to stay near the airport.

I'm very satisfied with this room.
I'm very satisfied with this room. Everything is very nice and clean. The landlord was very friendly and helped us a lot! Very recommended here! I really like it! I hope we'll come back next time.
We booked this hotel for our last day because it is convenient to the airport. We had a lovely, quiet room with a large patio and sea view. The proprietor was friendly, welcoming, gave us a great room, good suggestions for things to do on our last day in Santorini, and arranged our transportation to the airport. The room came with breakfast but we had to leave before breakfast was served. To our delight, on our way to the taxi we were presented with a very generous sack breakfast which was delicious!!!
Firsty, hotel was very clean, breakfast were met our expectations. Personnel always helpful and cheerful. Also, Dimitris who has responsible of the hotel was very kind and helpful person. He guided us about the santorini’s beatiful places. I definetly recommend this hotel to the couples who likes tranquility and slience. I also recommend any couple who will go Santorini rent a car. Because it makes life easier at santorini.
We loved it! The scenery is absolutely stunning, everything we imagined Santorini to be. The staff was so kind and the room was beautiful. The breakfast was great, as well. It’s not near any towns, but we liked that it was quiet and not as crowded. The reception can arrange taxis easily, so it’s not a problem at all. There’s a mini mart and a great local bakery across the street, too. We would definitely stay here again!
The breakfast was great! Not too far from Fira main square where there are great shops and lovely places to eat. Probably the best sleep I have had in a while as the bed was so comfortable. Staff were lovely and helpful and they allowed me access to the facilities until my taxi was due. Room was stunning and I definitely will be staying again should I come back to Santorini.
Everything was perfect.
The best location to stay in the island of Santorini because it is in the center and everything is close.
The market is just in front of, the bakery as well.
The staff were very friendly and very handful with everything we needed.
The breakfast was totally worth it.
If we ever return to Santorini this would be the hotel we would choose again for sure.
very nice little hotel in a quaint village in the center of santorin. breakfast was really good and filling. communication was easy and quick. the family is just lovely and tries to fulfill any wishes one might have. can really recommend staying at Emmantina and getting to know a bit of the “real” santorin.
Very beautiful boutique hotel for those who want to be in a calmer area of Santorini. Very good breakfast, very kind staff (they do your best to help you and give you local hints). Rooms are clean, and modern. Nice swimming pool. Book a car or a scooter as the hotel is 15-20 minutes away from Fira.
Everything was perfect!
Julia the host was lovely. We arrived 5 hours late...2:00 a.m. to be exact and she greeted us with a smile. The location of the hotel was perfect with local restaurants around and a supermarket right infront of the hotel. The hotel was clean and the staff was very friendly.
I loved the staff - especially the receptionist Simi who is a wonderful women, bright, open and simply a very good person with passion to make the greatest experience for guests. The other thing is cleanness- everything is super clean and fresh, including the room service. Hotel renewed and calm.
Ava was amazing… exceptional costumer service. And Dimitri didn’t seem to tire worked so hard with a smile on his face always. It felt like home away from home. Take all their tour recommendations… i had the time of my life. If i come back to santorini I’ll definitely be staying at Marvarit
We liked that the hotel was private and located just outside of Thera, the design and decor of the hotel - modern and simple, and how accommodating the staff was during our stay! We will definitely be staying here again in the future.
The view; the staff especially Kosti (hope thats the correct way to write it) who was extraordinarily attentive; the breakfast; the atmosphere; the helpfulness...to sum up, this hotel pushed our Santorini experience to another level
I loved the size of the hotel, how it was maintained and cleaned and the owners!!! The father + son team were very nice and helped us plan our day trips. Also felt really safe which is important when travelling with your family!
It’s a brand new and very nice hotel with cyclade architecture. The staff is very friendly. It’s located in Mesaria, 5min by foot from the town centre, from where you can take a bus to Fira, Kamari, Perissa.
The hotel was amazing, the breakfast excellent
Michael the owner was fantastic, super friendly.
The room and the pool sides was so clean.
I recommend 100%.
