A lot has changed from those Viking days, and Dublin is now famous for its literary history and the most green-spaces of any other European capital, making Dublin a real Irish gem.
Dublin Castle is at the heart of the city's history and Trinity College holds the renowned Book of Kells, a beautifully illustrated manuscript from circa 800 AD. The Ha’penny Bridge is the city’s most photographed landmark and the statue of Molly Malone celebrates the heroine of Dublin’s unofficial anthem.
Dublin is home to many important literary figures including Oscar Wilde, William Yeats, Samuel Beckett and George Bernard Shaw. As the famous location of James Joyce’s “Ulysses”, the city offers tours tracing the protagonist’s footsteps.
Being one of the most youthful European cities, Dublin has a vibrant nightlife scene with the popular Temple Bar area and plenty of bars and pubs, which invite you to stay out until the wee hours of the morning.

We spent two days in Dublin which was just right for us to visit the sights we wanted to see. The Book of Kells Experience is a must for anyone who visits Dublin! And you are sure to find a museum (or two, or three) that piques your interest.
Dublin is a very easily walked city, with most of the sights found on the south side of the River Liffey.

Vibrant city with lots to see and do.
Vibrant city with lots to see and do. Most places walkable but the hop on hop off bus is great. Trinity college, temple area, river trip and Guinness factory all top of the list but so much more available. Friendly fun place for all ages.

Great history, but it's mostly churches.
Great history, but it's mostly churches. The party scene is fun, but after two days singing along to Take Me Home, Country Roads by John Denver at a lot of the live music bars gets old.
I would stay 1-2 maybe 3 days and then head to another place in Ireland to really get your fill.

We did two tours during our stay.
We did two tours during our stay. One to Wicklow, Glendalough, and Kilkenny, and the other to Belfast, Dunluce Castle and The Giant's Causeway. Loved them both, and also went through St. Patrick's Cathedral.
We ate two nights in the bar at the Hyatt Centric, another meal at the Merchant's Arch.
What a beautiful place to stay with all the thoughtful amenities we needed to make our stay perfect! It was down the street from pubs and restaurants and walking distance to the center of Dublin as well as 3Arena.
John showed us around the townhouse to make sure we could find everything and Geraldine was just a phone call/text away.
The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The garden was a lovely place for coffee in the morning.
We had a short stay but when we return to Ireland we will stay here again!
This was one of the few hotels in Ireland where we had a King size bed - such a treat! And AC that actually made the room cool enough for us to sleep comfortably. We were a little nervous being so close to the city center and seeing ear plugs in the bathroom, but we both slept quite well - no loud noises waking us up and no need for the ear plugs. We had to leave early for the airport in the morning and I went down to get tea and coffee to go. The staff was extremely helpful and didn't charge us for it.
Arlington Hotel is a real find!
Superb location and right in the heart of the city centre.
Great facilities and comfortable accommodation with great food and drinks in the restaurant/bar at the street level. Live entertainment every night was also welcome.
Awesome access to everything Dublin City has to offer and the public transport is easy to access.
All while being responsibly priced.

It is student accommodation that is let out in the summer as a hotel, it is great for people on a budget and it not too far on the tram to Dublin city centre. Get the visitor 3/7 day leapm card if you are visiting as it is much better than the pay as you go cards.
Everything! The room was better than advertised. The staff, all of them, could not have been more helpful and friendly. Had a wonderful meal in the restaurant after a very long day trip to Northern Ireland. Better than any other Hilton Hotel I ever stayed at!

Myself and my partner have stayed constantly 2 - 3 times a week at Motel One. It’s absolutely, hands down, the best hotel for the cost in Dublin City Centre. With its location, facilities and above all amazing staff, you cannot go wrong!
the location was a little bit far from de city centre as we expected, but Dublin is not a big city, walking you can reach all the city center places.
Breakfast was good. A little bit unnorganized when was full, but acceptable
Prefect Hotel if your going to the 3 arena for a gig, between city centre and the 3, restaurants and cafes beside it. The room was lovely and spotless, breakfast was spot on. Would definitely book again if staying in Dublin.
Very modern hotel with excellent facilities within walking distance of both Dublin city centre and the Aviva Stadium. Enjoyed the pool and spa facilities before breakfast the next morning. Would definitely recommend.
Sophisticated, beautifully furnished room. Perfect location in the centre of Dublin but very quiet. Excellent value for money compared to other hotels in the city centre. Two-course breakfast from a menu - very tasty.
Loved the location, it was close to everything without any nightlife noise. It was quiet and comfortable and chic. It was one of the few hotels with AC in all of Ireland. Breakfast was adequate.
Location was ideal as its a short walk from city centre.
