We visited the Rock of Cashel which is visible from Rockville House. When we arrived we were greeted by the friendly Inn keepers. Our room was clean and comfortable with plenty of tea and coffee, comfortable beds, and tv. The parking is safe and behind a gate. The breakfast is very good and served hot. Quiet place, you can see the Rock of Cashel from the front door of the B&B.

Our Hosts Josephine was Incredible. We are traveling with my parents that in their eighties. We traveled from the USA all night. We arrived at her B and B around 0930. Josephine not only let us check into our rooms She made us a wonderful Irish Breakfast. Her kindness and hospitality is what makes me Love Ireland. People like Josephine is why I have travelled to Ireland 4 times. The location of her B and B was in the Great little walkable town of Cashel .

The chalet we stayed in at Kingstown House was adorable! Vaulted ceiling, kitchenette, full bath and shower. One big bonus for us was a nice visit by "Ed Sheeran," the orange tabby cat they call "Irish Ed!" Bridget and her daughter Stephanie were so nice and enjoyable to talk with. The chalet was spotlessly clean and stocked with a wonderful continental breakfast including pastries, bread, jams, juice, fruit and coffee/tea. We slept so well and would definitely return!

The location was ideal - a close walk to the Rock of Cashel, shops, and restaurants. The host directed us to a parking lot a few blocks away which was very helpful since we had a rental car.
What an amazing, quaint town. We wished we had been there longer. There are plenty of places to visit, including the Rock of Cashel, the surrounding countryside is idyllic and there are plenty of bars and restaurants too chose from.
The people are bar far the absolute friendliest I have ever met.
The locals, once met, remember you the next day and say hello and stop to chat - you literally feel like you live there - I really did not want to leave and am already planning another visit - will be staying at the Baileys hotel again too - what an absolute diamond find that place was too
Places to eat & drink - there are plenty more but these are ones we went into:
Baileys cellar bar and Restaurant
Daverns Bar & Restuarant
Mikey Ryan's bar & Restaurant
Feehans
Some of the Quaint Irish pubs (not all listed but there are plenty more that looked lovely)
T J Ryan’s
Brosnans
Bill Foleys Bar & Lounge
Cocktail bar:
City Bar
Avoid:
The Brian Ború - bit of a dump compared to the rest of the places available to you
You don’t need a car to get around Cashel but one is needed to explore surrounding areas

We drove from Dublin to Kilkenny and then to Cashel.
We drove from Dublin to Kilkenny and then to Cashel. We stayed overnight in Cashel and visited The Rock of Cashel first thing in the morning. We then drove off to Cork.
We should've stayed in Kilkenny and then drove to Cashel in the morning as the town of Cashel was a huge disappointment. We walked around and around trying to find a place to eat - only a few places are open for dinner after 5 resulting in long waiting times at the 1 place we could get in to. We kept passing the same people walking around trying to find a place to eat at (other than take out pizza). We went into a few pubs while we waited for dinner but they were dark, smoky, and not worth even getting a beer at. A pretty unpleasant little town.

The Rock is a very easy walk.
The Rock is a very easy walk. When you get to the top take all the tours you can. The tour guides that we have meant in Ireland are to me the best in the world. They All have such passion for their country and responsibilities. If your into photography the sky and light change by the hour and can give you wonderful results. We will truly miss this place and its views.

It was such a nice well kept city! The people seemed very kind. We loved the Rock of Cashel tour and visit to the Abby. It was such a fascinating place! I took a walk around the city and enjoyed the history and architecture on each block.

Cashel is a must-see stop in any tour of Central Ireland.
Cashel is a must-see stop in any tour of Central Ireland. Not only is the monument here remarkable, but the town is centrally located in an area surrounded by other sites within an hour’s drive or so, including Kilkenny and Cahir. We chose to stay here for that reason, and it worked out really well for us.
We also recommend drives in the country around Cashel. Very very charming.
Can’t speak to the restaurants, but there are several very good groceries close to the town: Aldi, Supervalu, and Tesco.

For historians and history buffs, Cashel is a must-see stop.
For historians and history buffs, Cashel is a must-see stop. The Rock is a classic example of medieval Irish castles, and the chapel in particular is remarkable.
And there are two Sheela-na-gigs! (Look it up….) one on the Rock, and one in the posh hotel in the village.
The room absolutely exceeded our expectations. This is a gem hidden behind a seemingly innocuous door. The staff are amazing. They welcomed us with open arms after a frazzled day of driving and trying to find a place to stay. The owner Patrick even helped me find a place to park my car! The shared courtyard at the back of the house was a wonderful spot to mix with other travellers, sharing stories and songs. This B and B was the perfect place to end our three week visit to Ireland. Thank you PJ for hosting such a great night.
Beautiful property in a central location. Room was clean and wonderfully decorated, exceeded expectations. The innkeeper was extremely accommodating. We needed to move our reservation the day before and she did. There was a miscommunication about a service animal, and she rolled with it. We did a driving tour, staying in a different hotel almost every night for a week and the Copperfield House was our favorite stay in Ireland.
Very close to the town and The Rock of Cashel. A small property with a sense of space. Bedrooms and shower room small but it is what you would expect from a small terrace. Clean throughout and comfortable sofas/armchair and beds. Any issues we had (only one)were promptly dealt with. Parking was not included but lots of parking in the front of the street.
Would definitely use it again.
This was an easy walk to a local pub and several take away resturants. It is at the far end of the downtown area for the town with the Rock of Cashel. It was nice to have our own rooms after 5 days of sharing rooms with adult children. It would perfect for families with younger children as they had highchair , easel, swinger & ride on toys.
We LOVED everything about staying here. The grounds were beautiful. Inside the house we had a beautiful and spacious bedroom and bathroom, with the best linens! We were spoiled in the morning with a hearty home cooked breakfast. it is also really close to the rock of cashel. It is definitely worth staying here.
The location was perfect, just on the outskirts of Cashel.. The house had plenty of space, beds comfortable, cosy lounge and spacious kitchen too.
Walkable to pubs, shops and lovely restaurants, people were really friendly.
Justin and his partner were on hand when we had some issues.
Stayed at Kingston House while attending a wedding in Cashel
Located in a quiet area just outside the town
Excellent self contained self catering chalet with continental breakfast
Excellent hosts friendly and so helpful
Would highly recommend
This place is a gem with a friendly little community that help run this place. It is in a great location, within a short walking distance to restaurants, grocery stores, and the Rock of Cashel.

Excellent location within walking distance of the Rock of Cashel with convenient parking. The staff were friendly and helpful. This has been our favorite stay in Ireland so far.
The hosts were wonderful. Very helpful and gave good advice for places to go. Location was very good, walking distance to town and the Rock of Cashel was close by.
Comfortable beds and large shower. Easy check in process. Cute coffee/lounge room and yummy breakfast. Parking on site and quick walk to town/Rock of Cashel.
