If there is a home away from home, this is it. From the very beginning, the host and the hostess demonstrated what hospitality can be. We arrived in a light drizzle; the host saw us through the windows and ran out with an umbrella to welcome us in. The location cannot be better, on a slight hill overlooking a lake and distant hills. Our bedroom was very large and spacious, with a panoramic window to the lake and hills. There were ample electrical sockets with international adapters on both sides of the bed. Ample closet space. Attached shower and toilet. Everything was spotlessly clean. The hosts offered us their home-baked cookies and tea before bed. Breakfast was outstanding, with both of them making us feel at home with their own life stories. The food and coffee (the best brew in Ireland we experienced, no joke!) were excellent and served with impeccable settings overlooking an outstanding vista. Other guests were introduced to us by the host and facilitated interesting conversations. The hosts graciously chalked out a detail travel plan for the next day for us, visiting outstanding locations customized to save our time (using ferries to cut short our travel time by over 2.5 hours). Please accept our heartfelt thanks for your help and your hearty welcome, and making our stay at your home the most memorable time we spent in Ireland. Thank you!

If I could give this location an 11/10, I would. Ann and her son were SO accommodating and just absolutely lovely people. Communication was outstanding and, when we arrived, she had a fantastic room waiting for us. The location is magical - quiet, serene, and everything you expect an Irish countryside to deliver. While we didn't have the time to stay for brekkie, I can only anticipate it was nothing short of fantastic. Would DEFINITELY book in again.

Beautiful peaceful location -extensive beaches on one side and mountains on other. Close to well know golf course. The restaurant was a stunning surprise. Just excellent across the board from food to venue to service. We’ve eaten all over the world and food here was exquisite. Best seafood chowder we’ve ever had.

The Old Cable House is just a short walk from the center of town and the beach. It was away from the main hustle and bustle so it was quiet. The hosts were amazing and everyone got a very warm welcome. It is a historical building so expect some squeaks and creaks. Our room was quite large and very comfortable. Breakfast was fantastic.

We had a marvelous time at the B&B. Lillian and Dom made us feel at home within seconds of entering. They gave us great recommendations, and regaled us with stories about the historic building. The breakfast was fantastic! Delicious and plentiful. Lots of options for all types of eaters. We enjoyed one more long chat after breakfast, before departing to explore more of the Ring of Kerry. 100% recommend.

    We had a very comfortable stay in the Smugglers Inn. The hotel's breakfasts were delicious and the staff were very pleasant. We attended 10am Sunday Mass nearby in a beautiful Church. We drove along the N70 to Kenmare and the scenery was spectacular.

    Waterville is a quiet coastal town with good beachfront...

    Waterville is a quiet coastal town with good beachfront walks, nice restaurants and spectacular views. We ate in the Butlers arms hotel pub and had deliciously cooked fish and chips. Took a lovely seafront walk and stopped for a drink in the popular Lobster bar and restaurant where the food looked and smelled delicious, noted for next time. Waterville was ideal for a one night stay to get away from it all or as a quiet stop when touring the ring of Kerry.

    Great property , very peaceful and remote , short drive to shops/beach /river . All facilities are provided , very comfortable. Only real gripe would be lack of choice /channels on TV , could do with having Netflix or something ( especially if you have children to keep entertained!! 😜) over all , very happy with the property and would happily stay there again .

    Waterville is a pretty little village in kerry dark sky reserve and close to kerry cliffs. Friendly people but not a lot to do. Excellent guinness beef stew at Dooley's. Would not recommend Darc apartments. - 3rd bedroom was like a closet and very uncomfortable cot to sleep on. 2 bathrooms- one toilet was out of order and no water pressure in either shower. Could have been cleaner - used bars of soap in bathrooms..Tv not hooked up and other than helping us find the unit , which was poorly marked- owner of unit did not respond to inquiries from us regarding plumbing, tv etc. Location was convenient

    It was beautiful!!! Great location and service and food! Lovely clean room & new en suite. Room has ocean front view and you can fall asleep looking at the stars! There is also a lounge to watch the sunset! You really need a car for Waterville to get to Smuggler’s Inn.

    The hotel has a beautifully decorated, very clean, situated opposite the beach, the views from are room was lovely. Staff very pleasant, helpful and welcoming. The room was a nice size, well furnished and decorated and it had everything we needed. The Breakfast and breakfast service was excellent. Breakfast choices were excellent and plentiful. There was everything that you would want for your breakfast whether continental or cooked.

    Tony was a pleasure to deal with from the start and was also available if/when needed. The house was in a quiet cul de sac and was very comfortable and modern. The house was a few minutes walk to the beach and down to the multiple restaurants and coffee shops in Waterville and most importantly to the ice cream shop for the kids! Its an ideal base to explore south kerry/the ring of kerry and would highly recommend

    Great house. Lots of space. Two bedrooms upstairs are en-suite plus a full bathroom downstairs (with two separate bedrooms). Only a couple of minutes drive from Waterville with good restaurants and shops. Easy (self) check in. Spotlessly clean!
