The hotel was great. Clean and about 300 meters away from the entrance to the National Park. The staff was exceptional. I am gluten free and they went really over their way to cook me gluten-free meals. Though they could not provide any almond or soya milk - so it is best to bring your own if you can or drink black tea or with lime juice. Would highly recommend the hotel. The swimming pool is small but great for a cooling down swim - with the added spectacle of monkeys walking up and down the balconies of the building nearby. WiFi is strong enough to have video calls so you can also combine leisure with work.

The bird park is exceptional. So clean and a joy to be in. We saw sooooo many birds. Our guide Rinkesh was very knowledgeable and found so many birds for us. We also saw antelope, deer and a couple of jackal. We decided to walk and were up for the 06.00 opening. We covered about 10km on foot over 4 hours. Wear good shoes or boots if you are going to do this. Rinkesh carried a Japanese telescope with him which was just brilliant for the long distance birds. The plus on going in late April was that although the migratory birds were not there, the water was low so the wading birds were very close.

For me it`s a bit special since I have been visiting this place infrequently since 30 yrs back when I have seen majestic Siberian Crane too. Use Bicycle or walk

1 night stay to visit Bird sanctuary in the morning. We reached early in the morning to Bird Sanctuary - 730 AM and hence could chose good condition bicycles. We took a guide who was very knowledgeable and was with telescope and binoculars. We enjoyed cycling and lot of beautiful birds.

The friendly and social atmosphere creates the perfect environment to chat to other guests around the fire and share your experiences from the day. They took excellent care of my elderly parents including bringing their meals to them at their room because they weren't able to walk up the stairs to the dining room. Good choice of food and the packed breakfast allowed us to get an early start on our birding trips. The proximity of the hotel to the Keoladeo National Park is excellent and we were able to get rickshaws for the park right outside the hotel.RajaUnited States of America
